the game currently we still know the game on today's episode you could expect for us to talk about we're going to do a little bit of NBA draft talk because we already talked about it we've had Griffon we've went in detail with that but we're going to redraft the 2023 class picks one through 10 of course we're going to talk about where possibly bronnie goes who goes number one we already saw Alex R said I don't want to play for Atlanta so we're gonna talk about that of course we can't ignore it especially on the show that most of us here has Braun as a goat MJ the goat by most of y'all comes to find out there was some inflated stats that dpoy year talking about that and of course we can't be REM and leave off the Aaron Rogers talk we we've had it on the docket unbeknown to yah for the last three four weeks it's come to a head we will talk about A-Rod on today's episode we gonna start off redrafting the 2023 class picks one through 10 I think it t to say picks one and two stay the same Victor Spurs Brandon Miller Hornets yeah no debate no debate I think this where it gets interesting uh pick three scoot Henderson who would you have there for the Blazers I personally would Keon George there I I love Keon George I think there's a case that you made that you take keontay George there I mean um you know you look at his struggles um you know scoot handerson strug struggles and you're a little worried about him long term you don't really know if he's gonna you know come out of that and be the player he was meant to be I I still am optimistic I I I am a little optimistic about it I you know I heard about the the eyesight being an issue for him and uh he's got he's got goggles now we're going to see if that affects his shooting and his shooting percentages raised a little bit because of it but um and he has all the athletic ability in the world it really is a mental thing with him and just getting over certain things of that nature but Keon George is special I I I I liked him when we heading into the draft uh he's a much better passer than even I gave him credit for going into that draft as we talked about it and there's clips and all that of me talking about him um but I I think he's makes that offensive abil ility the offensive potential he has with his passing uh you know he has to get better defensively but I think he's he'd be a really good pick for them at three I don't think I I think the Blazers wouldn't regret it at all if he was on on the Blazers right now he's a young piece that they have there they can move for in a trade if they want to get aggressive or they can keep him and build around him and um see what he turns into but I like him a lot I do I I really do um so yeah I go there I'll go Keon for sure miles you go keante being that you know they drafted a guard so they obviously the guard to go with Jeremy Grant and DeAndre Aon and that whole crew over there and Anthony Simons I'd honestly flip it and go amen um honestly if he was a better shooter and all this stuff and maybe had a better year on the surface we're talking about him and Brandon Miller as like the second best player because defensively that kid is going to be all defensive many many times uh he's explosive as hell once he gets that jump shot right like the sky's the limit and it's funny that Jaylen green ended up coming on towards the end of the year because I was thinking like all right he's kind of forcing his way out but he did but am man Thompson is like a really really special player um he plays the game the right way he makes the right play he'll grab rebounds plays defense he does everything you'd want out of a player if he's not going to be a star which I think if he develops he can be a star but if he settles in as a role player like he's at least 10 15 years solid in this league like that kid is special agre easily 1015 year Pro right there star I don't know yet we'll have to see if that jump shot comes along with him but definitely so at number four they drafted aan Thompson who do y'all replace at four I Know M you said amen went earlier if he doesn't I'm keeping amen there personally I'd say scoot I mean I think scoot with the Rockets they they need a guard sure they got van vet but talent wise I'd say scoop is better he'll eventually be a better player than what Fred is and he'd had a different element they don't have in that starting lineup currently so I mean they were letting amen run Point basically for the time that Fred was out so if you put a legit point guard in there and sure the the vision I mean we saw the goggles he clearly wasn't himself for most of the the year last year I he did have moments towards the end of the year but I expect him to take a jump in year two in Portland um but for the rockets that would be the home run like this is a guy who going into that draft it was between him and Victor I mean not really but that was those are the two top prospects that they really talked about as far as um the top of the draft goes so to get him at four would be a steal I think there's a case to be made for amen or or a Thompson there for sure I his jump shot come along he'll get better at it and it's the one red flag there I think there's a case for Derrik Lifey to go top five in this draft class on the back end so if they went Derrick Lively here which is probably what I'll say I'll probably go with him um there's no problem with that he's he he was just T he was Tyson Chandler um upon just entering the league that's what he was in year one right so that's pretty exciting when you have a player that good and that Dynamic near the rim he made a three during the playoffs if he could add that to his game even a little bit he's really really dangerous to play five with them too but he's just such a good roller a good screener a defensive presence getting blocked at The Rim I think if you take that guy you have really I mean you ignore when you're picking that high in in the draft you don't pick for need you pick for talent and so he's easily one of the more talented guys that went in this draft class I can see him going in a redraft top top three top four right he's that he's that talented that would have been a nice to see that to have him next to sangon S to play the four and Lively is playing the five locking up the paint with how jayen green came on last year Fred Van v and just how eay udoka likes the coach from what we've seen that would have been they got it they got it right with amen but that would have been nice to see the Detroit Pistons on the hook for uh about 60 mil to Monty Williams they took assar Thompson who would y'all have taken at five I don't I don't think they regret it take I don't think they regret taking assar Thompson there obviously but if I'm looking at this class again there I'm bringing a guy like haime hawz Jr up and I know he's a role player and everything like that but in longside Cade and those guys I think in a redraft you can draft him higher than than far higher than what he went and he can be justified as a top five pick in this class because his game was already made to be a role player an elite role player in the NBA but he's going to get better he's gonna get better and he may never be he's never going to be like an All-Star necessarily but you never know I I don't want to stand on that but drafting a really good role player at pick what five is it five or on right now or four five five that pick five that's that's tough to do in this league you got guys we drafted guys at five who don't who aren't even in the NBA five years later two years later three years later you know they don't even make it past the rookie contract sometimes so I have no problem if they went with that direction uh taking haime that early on because he really was that good year one uh I would keep it I would still keep it as s honestly I mean this team that that's more of a a team that can win immediately type of pick like you're not supposed to be picking that high and you're gonna bounce back and and uh compete that year like the Pistons they're not competing we're not really competing it doesn't seem like in the near future I don't know what they're doing on the hook for a lot of money with Monte but um they do have pieces they have like Talent on this team they just need to kind of cultivate that and be able to coach it to being a good team because like Cade special player um Ivy we'll see that that kid is um he's interesting like the talent the talent is there like you can't teach that speed you can't teach some of the things that he does on the court but um I don't know there's also something that just it doesn't really fit with this team and then assar I mean same thing with his brother if he gets a jump shot if he works on some of those perimeter skills like they're both freaks they're both freaks and you need a wing that can play defense that can push the pace like he's unselfish they play the game the right way so um I think that's another guy that they they need moving forward as far as uh talent wise or they could have gone for a crazy home run pick and I mean cam Whitmore I feel like if he got more time playing in Houston he'd be higher on this list but um because he didn't really get to shine on that Houston team and you got eeme trying to win at all costs um he didn't really get to show what he could do but I think that kid is going to be special if he gets a chance in Houston it might be with another team you know he might be used in the trade but cam cam is he's got it re before we go to pick six just real quick Pistons they fire Monty Williams new GM is there who do you think would be a good fit to take over for that job which is obviously not one of the most appealing jobs out there I should say but who do you think possibly would be a good fit for there Sam Cassel maybe Isaiah Thomas comes back to the organization who would be a good fit for that uh Pistons It's gotta be a first time had coach it's got to be someone who's never been a coach before because it's hard to get a 10 year coach who's been in the NBA for a long time with options to go there you know you not it's gonna be hard to do that James Rego you know I know he got passed up for the Cleveland job is he really gonna go to Detroit coach in Detroit you know at that point this go be a to a top paid assistant coach and wait for the next great opportunity to show up and hopefully you you you actually get the job right but I bring in some fresh blood you know I've heard names I've heard Sweeny out of Dallas I heard that name on the windhorse podcast and These Guys these are guys that we aren't familiar with the general public isn't familiar with but um the way the Nets went and hired Jordi Fernandez it's it's kind of like that you want to bring in somebody who hasn't done it who who has energy who's young and hasn't done it before for and hasn't been isn't a retread hire at that point because that's that's what you do with Monty Williams you know you you you can't out coach having a lack of talent and they should have won more games than they did sure but you know they have a lack of talent they drafted Jaden iy and missed he can't he can't shoot right he can't shoot at all and that's the tough thing to overcome from when your guards he's passing up open looks or he's taking them and missing them so it's just one of those things where you you have to you know you have to reassess your whole process not just the coach but how you draft what you're looking at in these players how you missed on Ivy right where you went wrong and how you can correct that stuff moving forward and get the right people in the building but I'm going with a A you know a guy who's a longtime assistant in the league who's been itching for an opportunity because you're not getting a top-of-the line candidate to come take that job hopefully Sam Cassel gets a look um he's been long time assistent trying to get a job uh pick six this uh upset a lot of people when we talked about pick six uh before you know miles wasn't on board for drafting another guard they drafted Anthony black at six who didn't see that much time uh this year who would you redraft in place of Anthony black uh for that magic team it's where was where that team is and they don't need they don't need any more guards I just you look at the draft list list of players that went in this draft class and you're going to find that pretty quickly that you know there are only really guards to choose from uh a lot of guys didn't perform so if I were them it's either I'm going P P zimsky from the Warriors because they were a team that won they were a team that won they the magic won and he fits onto a winning team takes charges can make an open three not a great three-point shooter but can certainly make an open three um he's goingon to play he's going to force his way out into the floor and be an impact player for you and maybe when you playf maybe when you a playoff game because he gets a million rebounds he's an amazing rebounder um so I would probably go that direction uh you could make the case for Jordan Hawkins too who out of Yukon who shoots the the skin off the ball and considering how the premium putting on shooting right now and looking for shooting Hawkins would have made a lot of sense for them I don't think he would have went wrong with either pick Hawkins considering his ability to shoot the ball and what they need now and what they needed in the playoffs makes a lot of sense because Hawkins had some really good games under the radar he was really really good um so I I could see and he's a he's he reminds me of like Rip Hamilton type like old school throwback all you know catch and shoot type guy so I I really like his game a lot and I think he would have fit with Orlando well too I'd go I mean it's a sleeper maybe not a sleeper he was second Team all NBA all rookie case Wallace from OKC just because that's another guy who he defends he can shoot I mean he shot the ball at like a 42% clip from three so you need shooting around Paulo and Bron and Suggs for sure he's not really a shooter but if you put him next to to Suggs and all those guys I think that's a special team hey shout out to Jose on YouTube we mentioned Bill Ander Bill and beer has some WNBA had coaching experience I don't think he coached in the NBA but that might be an interesting pick too just to bring him back to the organization uh vet knows how to win so I've saw that name floated out too Bill and beer Isaiah Thomas coming back so it'll be very interesting to see what they do going forward with Detroit pick seven they they picked bow kabali but they traded him to the Wizards who would you pick at seven staying with the Pacers who would you pick at seven me personally you mentioned them last pick with how they play I think Jordan Hawkins is another one that would have been up and down Pace getting shots up he probably would have had about five six threes a game how he shoot the rock yeah yeah that's how you could have found him you know he got a lot of open looks lot of easy shots I I I have no problem going going in that direction uh with that pick I I don't even have an argument if I had known if I had been thinking about the Pacers behind him I probably you know mocked him to go there or whatever or you know just redrafted him to go there um so yeah I'll go Jordan Hawkins I think the shooting ability on that team it' have been trouble for the league because they had no problem scoring as it was without him can you imagine if they had with had him what it would have looked like you know uh this pick I would put Derek Lively here I mean we saw it in the playoffs even against the Knicks they really struggled with rebounding and that was one of their biggest things if not for injuries they would have got bounced by the Knicks but it it showed in the Celtics series they just need more toughness and someone with a better motor like Miles Turner grabs like what six boards a game if that so you're not really getting that from him so now you're asking your guard s and all that stuff to try to grab boards and sure you know T.J McConnell can uh Jose Alvarado his way into a couple boards but like he's not someone you want to rely on like drik Lively's shown it on the highest stage like the finals and he's a guy that you can rely on and he'll run like he's not one of these plotting Bigs like he can run the floor that's what Tyrese wants to do so imagine the lob threat that they'd have with uh dere Lively on that team number eight Washington Wizards went with jarus Walker who will replac at that pick he was traded to the Pacers who we take there talent and potential what we' seen I'd go I'd go Clowney No Clowney I think sleeper from the Nets he didn't really get much playing time for most of the year until the end but I think when we look back at this draft maybe three four years from now we'll be saying like that kid should have gone way earlier why didn't he go earlier he's talented he's a what power forward that can shoot the three and is mobile like that like that's the perfect player for this league right now so um that'll be my surprise pick for the Wizards I mean what do they have to lose they're losing already so why not go for a home run pick in uh or underrated pick like Noah Clowney and hope that your your development staff can get the most out of them because I think that kid is probably one of the top two or three talented players on that Nets roster right now so I don't disagree he came on he played well at the end of the year um that pick there I mean I've kind of taken a lot of the guys in the back end of this draft already that I like um if I was going to I didn't I didn't pick Assan Wallace yet so I probably go there because he's just show he showed a lot of promise and they need everything there's not a position that they have enough of over there so and there you know look they're getting ready to tear this thing down to the studs even more and get rid of a TI Jones and other guys like that they've gotten um so clearly you know any any infusion of talent they can get they they'll they'll gladly welcome and cassan WS gives him that he can shoot the ball he played really well over in OKC and knock down threes drove to the R they played really good just drive and kick basketball so I like them I like them and he defended he defended he earned minutes as a rookie on a team that did something this year obviously so yeah I'd probably go with them yeah the Wizards that's another thing to look forward to this off season they could be big in trade talks it could be a lot of movement going on with them and like you said it seems like it's back in rebuild again and they're gonna be left with Jordan p and Bal kabali that's how it's looking at number nine the Jazz took Taylor Hendricks keeping Taylor at in Utah or replacing him I mean I'd replace him quite honestly um and I know and and I know this is you know this is interesting because I kind of chose two guys in pin Pinsky and then Hawkins right let's say we went let's say we went let's say we went pinski in that pick and Hawkins another pick that I we spoke about um to kind of look down I'd probably take Marcus Sasser uh in a redraft I liked his his minutes a lot I thought he was good um he had a strong first two three months of the season and he's he's and I we like we like I like them coming up the draft I really did I you know I talked about Houston a lot and what they do there and what Kelvin Samson does over there and him being one of the better coaches in the world in my opinion but um yeah I think he'd be nice fit over there uh as well I I really do I think he's a really good player and I think that he has a bright future in the NBA for Utah I mean the way the board's sliding and I mean I talked about him earlier but cam Whitmore um a kid 67 220 already at like 19 20 years old coming in the league and you need I mean you're not going to be able to sign a free agent if we're being honest to come to Utah and all that stuff stuff so you're gonna have to rely on the draft and all that this kid he he's got talent like you can't teach some of the movements and athleticism that he has and the strength that he plays with like there's a ferocity that he plays with that you're not really gonna get from like many 19 year olds so um I know there's talks of them maybe move and Lori but like if you had another player like cam you've already got what uh Sexton I mean he might be on the move too but like you've got ston and marinin and then you add Whitmore to that that's a solid little core even though I'm sure Lor's got to get paid at some point but like now you're building something like cam cam showed in spurts that on the right team in the right fit like he can really he can really show out so and number 10 the Mavs took Cas Wallace who was traded to OKC at 10th pick who would you have taken for the mats I'm g go cam Whitmore because I haven't chosen him yet and off town alone he deserves to be a top 10 pick so I you know an embarrassment of riches if they took him and having him on the bench and waiting for him to take his turn and and with a team like OKC you need all the young time you can get because you're not necessarily retaining great players in OKC so just being able to replace a great player with another good player and continuing that that that Trend like s pre's done it makes a lot of sense I'd go psky here I mean he'd be able to give Luca a break at some points he can run the point he can he's got a a great game for for the league and he's a great fit on Golden State as is but if we're going off the redraft and he's able to still be there at 10 like this is a home run pick like that's what they were missing they were missing other guys that can actually do something besides Kyrie and Luka like if they're not creating for anybody else the hell are they supposed to do like that's why this finals was so boring because it's like I mean you're relying on two guys solely I mean granted LeBron and Kyrie it was sort of the same thing but you got you got stuff out of like Jordan Richard Jefferson JR Smith like you got stuff from like some of those love yeah it was literally nothing there's nothing you're getting from the bench or your starters at that so bring in a guy like this he's what 65 64 65 like a a two threee college player right here with Luca with Kyrie you need guys who are ready to kind of produce now like this is one of those teams that I was talking about that you're not going to draft a guy who needs to develop what the hell Lucas is not he doesn't have patience for that like he's soon going to start throwing out shade to the Mavs like yeah I don't know about Dallas man it's hot out here like slide comments like what LeBron would say or something like that so you gotta start to develop that uh that nucleus around Luca it starts here now we can't talk draft you know reclassing redrafting the 2023 draft without mentioning the draft is happening this week Thursday the NBA draft is here Thursday and Friday because now round two is a whole day to itself which is interesting yeah first who do we think goes number one overall SAR came out he said I do not want to play for the Atlanta Hawks there been talks of kinging or the other person who I really do not know how to say his name I'm sure miles knows how to say it but who would go at number one what's his name like Rara or something like that or something I mean I think it's him I think it's gonna be him to be the number one pick I mean the funny thing is like SAR dictating where he's going like if this was a draft where it's a clear number one like he's not gonna be able to do that he's gonna have to work out like Zion couldn't do this in that draft or like LeBron's not gonna be able to do that in his draft but like in this draft I mean who really cares about if you're the number one pick they asked him that and he was like I just care about being drafted basically saying that I don't want to go to the Hawks so uh I mean Rara he he showed some he's a small forward out of France He's Got Talent um but I mean I'd really prefer to take SAR here if I'm the Hawks that's why it's so funny that he's like doing this but um it's not going to be it's not gonna be clinging like the slow feed I mean he's good on defense but you don't take a guy for defense number one so um yeah I'm taking rarer and going from there yeah I think hey Greg real quick yeah yeah go ahead somebody on somebody in our chat and you on YouTube said Dallas window is closing fast how how many more years you think Dallas's window is to win a championship that's a good question I mean kyri it's Kyrie's Health ky's Kyrie's health is always a question so you don't know year to year if you're gonna be able to have him healthy as as often as long as you did this year um too so there's a real there's a real um you know there's a real question about that I think it's a fair question to ask if I had to be honest I think that their Contender at least for the next three years uh I I know Kyrie's on an extension as well so any one of these years could they could it could pop for them and work out but do I Bank on them winning a championship no no I don't uh I think that they're one of those teams that had one crack at this thing because everything clicked at the right time um and I think that they they they soiled they soiled themselves in a big moment against Boston and now here we are so I I don't think they're going to win one so if you if you want to be technical I guess their windows closed in my opinion but they're going to be a contender and they're going to be relevant for sure because Kyrie and Luc will have their moments but everyone kind of knows about that onew punch and I don't know what they do to get so much better in the coming years right because they did all those things just to get to this point and getting PJ Washington doing all those other things so we'll see man but if I were if I'm just if I was a betting man I would not bet on them to win championship the next five years I just don't really see it yeah the my boy said until the end of Lucas's contract and his opinion so that's to what mil said if that kind if he don't reup it could look real different in Dallas it could be those dark days again before Dirk got there where they was trying to figure out what they were gonna be they were they were the laughing stock of the league so they gotta figure like Miles said they gotta figure something out to help Luca out Kyrie build this team a little bit better we can't mention the 2024 NBA draft without mentioning the most iconic the most important the most watched player the most player that everybody is concerned where he is going to go bronny James where do y'all think bronny James actually goes to what team we've heard he only worked out for two teams Phoenix and La all the rumors are flying because it's the same we of the draft Toronto's interested Dallas is interested where will bronne end up it's it's really tough to project where he's gonna go you know it is because we could get surprised and you might not end up on the Lakers it's easy to say the Lakers it is but I believe the Raptor I don't know if the Raptor thing is smoke man I don't think that Messi jery putting that out there and his team putting out there is necessarily smoke I know as you get close to the draft you know it's normal for people to lie it's lying season but you know I I do think there are teams I might like him a little more than we might think uh they like him because there is stuff there to like you know once you get over the numbers from the college and obviously there's a reason why those numbers aren't you know they they aren't uh healthy in terms of how many points he average and things like that but um yeah I I think there are a few places you can land I think Toronto Phoenix Lakers are all legitimate locations Dallas is another place too but Dallas might be just to try to lure LeBron I do think a team even though even though P Paul's made it clear that he's that LeBron and bronnie are on a package deal I do think there's a team that will be gutsy enough right to try to go after bronnie and attempt to L LeBron to come over there I do think that so you really can't rule anything out with him the only thing I know for sure is he's gonna get drafted he's not gonna go undrafted uh that's for sure but I know that bridge Paul's big thing is that he's not on a two-way contract that they refuse to sign one and so whoever whoever drafts him better get ready to give him a standardized contract where he's going to be in the NBA and not have to play both ways in the G league and have that be a contractual obligation so we'll see we'll see I can see Boston honestly that would be funny it would be funny but wow that would be a I'd say a home run pick Home Run Spot to land like he'd be able to develop he'd be able to learn from Drew holiday different guys over there and he's kind of like a clone let me retract he's got similarities to Drew holiday that um if you're trying to downsize and now with this cap and all that stuff you want to develop somebody who can maybe replace said person in a few years then why not why not go for it like you got nothing to lose like this kid obviously is talented if not for a bad freshman season and the heart issues that happened over the summer last year we'd be talking about him maybe in a different light so um somebody's gonna reach for him somebody who believes in the talent and the potential and sees the athleticism sees the jump shot and believes all right now we just got to like mold that together and we have a solid player here so I I wouldn't be mad at it if he went to Boston I'm sure a lot of people wouldn't want him to go there but like that's a that's that's a brad Stevens sort of pick something that people Le they're not really in and he'll he'll go ahead and make that pick I would love that for him personally for him to be able to sit like you said sit under BR to sit under Drew holiday and Derek white and learn from them and even Payton Payton Pritchard and just the thing that I love about bronnie he says from all accounts I just want to play ball I'm not trying to be my father I'm not trying to be no star I'm not trying to put my feet in his shoes I just want to play the game the right way which sounds to me like a 105y year player right there he's gonna play his role he's gonna do what he's supposed to do high IQ make winning basketball Drew holiday Derek white are going down in history they'll be 10 years from now when we have a discussion of the greatest role players they're in that conversation they're great in that regard you might not be a part of that goat conversation but you'll be in history you'll be remembered as a good player it's only about two% of players that really end up in that conversation anyway it's not many that end up in that conversation anyway we talk about Charles Barkley Mitch Richmond Latrell spirro the names go on and on and on on they were good players they were great in their own right Jose my boy he said I don't know if it's too high but I would like to see him with a young team in OKC imagine bronnie versus old Bron in the playoffs that's that's another young team where he'll learn he'll get better and they do a great job with developing Talent over there it's it's tough though because I mean I feel like that would be almost like the same Pi they just made with Cas Wallace like it's a offg guard who's a little smaller who can really shoot and play defense so I I think it would be it wouldn't be a bad pick I me OKC they've got the luxury they've got a lot of pieces to play with and and some time to figure it out I not too much time but definitely it's possible I was also gonna mention the heat as another team that could possibly take Ronnie at some point in the draft Thursday I'm not expecting it on on Wednesday but Thursday he could definitely make an impression I mean he's been around around that team basically since he was a kid I'm sure they've watched him growing up through the aou circuit they they probably already know there's teams like the Lakers the heat they don't really need to evaluate him too much they already know what they need to know like they've seen him for years so um and him with SPO and then they always find gems in the second round or undrafted and he could just be another one of those gems that they find then develop and then who I mean Braun could go back to Miami that wouldn't be a bad place to go so especially with them on the fence with Jimmy and all that stuff I mean it's it's possible hey get out my notes get out my notes talking players that possibly could be traded especially this week being that his ling week and his trade week trades can happen afterwards but you know during the draft trades always do happen and shout out yes the Knicks probably could use a brony that might be a good fit play his role definitely but trade options one of the names that came up in the conversation Jimmy Butler where do we think Jimmy Butler can end up will he actually be traded where would be a possible good destination for Jimmy I heard speaking miles on the screen Nick is one of the names that I was reading today that came up in conversation that's interested in the Jimmy Butler sweet Stakes I mean I understand that I that would make sense from the standpoint of you know tibs loves his guys like he was bringing back D Rose when he was on one leg and Taj Gibson when he was running the Brooklyn half mile half marathon so like that's definitely a possibility to come to New York I wouldn't mind it like we need guys who have that like win first mentality but i' also pass if I'm the Knicks just because we've seen it he kind of like cruises through the the regular season and then turns it on the playoffs like that's not going to fly with tibs so um but a team that I could see him going to maybe sign and trade with the Clippers maybe I mean PG there's a lot of smoke about him opting into his player option and then requesting a trade which I I'm thinking is a lot more likely to happen than him just opting for a free agency because um for the matching salaries that would be necessary if he's going to be traded somewhere but like Jimmy going to the Clippers that would give them a little more time you know him kawhai maybe that would convince Harden to come back although I don't know if I I'd want to convince Harden to come back but I mean I like a a core of Jimmy and Kawai if they can both stay healthy that's the risk like those are two guys who I mean for the most part they do get banged up a little bit I mean the older you get I mean after 30 you start to to break down I I feel like everybody's broken down besides Brun at this point so there's that and then maybe a reunion and Philly who knows I mean that's a a possibility I just don't see them having anything to offer the Heat in a trade so but Philly's going to be active in the next couple weeks that's for sure I could definitely see Jimmy going back there in regards of the Clippers aspect though if Jimmy is traded over there I think that's a signal that James Harton doesn't come back because I don't think those two mesh the way that Jimmy's mindset is I don't think that meshes with what we've heard about I'll just put that the allegedly stuff that we've heard about Haren I don't know the man never met the man if you want to hop on the show we'll gladly have you on but I don't think Jimmy's personality which is a chir taste by most would work with James Haren who kind of has the laay fair I want to have fun mentality another name that's been out there is we got two more names and we will transition Brandon Ingram is a name out there has been floated around before this week like the season ended for the New Orleans Pelicans and it was articles the next day while the players are still going on the next day all right where can Brandon engam ret trade it possible designation for be there aren't many places in the NBA where a guy that that where a guy like him doesn't fit you know I mean I I I think with him is going it really be best offer and you know for for them and for New Orleans and what they're looking for I know I'm stating in the obvious if I'm rattling off a few teams right now that make a lot of sense for him I I think Orlando would be interesting I know that you know the shooting you know aspect of it he can shoot right he's a good shooter he doesn't take a ton of three take more mid-range jump shots but he'd be interesting next to uh powo he would be just it just would be a nice one-two punch um and it gives you a real some real star power there so that's interesting um you know I can't shake this feeling that a guy like him would potentially be on the Net's radar I don't know why I can't shake the feeling I just I you know I I think that they may have a vision of maybe kind of creating their own version of Jaylen Brown and J Jason Tatum kind of situation where you have just two good Wings obviously not as good but two good Wings on your team that you know and one guy's an all defensive guy the other gu uh really really good here here you go a really was BR a really really good um offensive player on the other on other inside of it so you have those two guys kind of go being your fire and ice so I think I wouldn't be surprised to hear the Nets are throwing their hat in the ring and they're interested um with him and there have been rumors that they are interest they're going to be throw throw their hat in the ring on any good player out there right now that's what they're going to be looking to do and that's the way things trending um so the Nets are another team that is really a dark horse for me uh too um I don't think the Pelicans are going to trade him in conference he's gonna end up going to the Easter Eastern Conference I don't think he's you know so I don't think the Lakers fans will make have that dream of him coming back to LA and then making a move for him I don't I don't really see it to be quite honest with you uh but I do think uh Indiana would be interesting I know they just paid Pascal so I don't know how realistic the move is for them because they just paid him obviously they're gonna if they haven't paid Tes already they're going to um so that that's a little questionable there but Ingram is an interesting player I think there a few places on the on the East Co east coast and these East Coast teams a few teams that can make that kind of move and I and if I the Knicks I'd be a little interested i' kick the tires why not why not um you know I think he gives you a nice scoring punch he can C he can defend you know with that physical frame he can certainly get defend he's GNA play hard he's had some injuries but nothing overly concerning you know and he's certainly gonna play more games than Jimmy Butler would um I think I think Tibido needs to get over that love affair I think he's you know that he's looking at the one that got away and so we'll see what happens there but um yeah I think Ingram and there are many suitors that make sense for him and I it could be a team we don't expect it could be a really bad team that trades for him I could see that too right he has no control here obviously at all it really isn't best offer but for his sake I hope it's one of the teams I named right Nets Pacers you know one of these teams that are out there that could could be of interest hey correct me if I'm wrong I believe David Griffin is the GM over there so I'm pretty sure I'm pretty sure he gonna try to get the best offer possible oh yeah probably the biggest that's out there and this has been floated around probably for the last two three years Zack LaVine and it seems like the Bulls are desperate to get off of him the Bulls are desperate to make moves period I don't know what's going on with Chicago because to get alak Caruso out of Chicago and not get any of the picks from OKC who has 4 24 picks nasty work Zack LaVine possible destination for him Greg you I was like I don't know where I don't know where he's going I was gonna say three but that's Petty he can still you see that is so he can play still a really good player okay it's not about his quality play and that's not why this is this is not the why they're in the situation that they're in with him he's had some injuries obviously and they're look the the Bulls are an idiotic franchise and ran by fools and they don't know which way to go that think they're trying to rebuild but then you go make a trade for Josh Giddy and get no draft picks when you lose Caruso when you could have had a top 10 pick for him or whatever a lottery pick for him so BS are poorly ran uh Zack L's contract is unappealing to the NBA clearly because if he if it wasn't he'd be traded already all right and I get it like he's old he's aging he's aging and he's had some injuries so I understand the concerns teams have but when he's out there in the floor he looks amazing one of the better two guards in the NBA um I don't know who takes that risk I think teams have being very conservative because of the new cap structure now too and you know the second apron and first apron and all that stuff works so because of that you're not seeing teams jump the gun I think I think before this new cap chure kicked in he would have been traded already I really do believe that I think that you don't want to take on that cap hit for a guy who you're not sure is going to play is going to be super effective and and he going to play most of the games that you have them for also you know another example of that is why I think the Clippers don't want to pay Paul George it's the same logic I just think they're they don't want to get to that apron for a guy who's missed games and got come up short in the playoffs and come up small they don't want to do the same thing right it's not working um so I understand their logic but with him with Zack LaVine I look I I've said this a million times and now it's off the table but I would have loved for a kuso and and tavine package to have been something that a team pulled off now it can't happen um so when you look at teams I think the Kings might get desperate enough that they miss on kma if kma's traded and he doesn't go anywhere but the Kings the Kings could make that decision and go after him because Darren Fox is holding out over there now and on holding his signing his extension his rookie extension I believe or the next extension he has lined up because he wants to see the direction of the team and see what they do so because of that you're prob you're looking at a situ a where they're they're clearly looking to upgrade clear looking to make a move forward um and I I think that they're on the table right but there aren't many shooters if I we would be lying if we sat here and give you four or five teams that's not the way this thing really looks right only a few places he can really go and the Bulls are gonna have to maybe pay to get off of him at some point that were headed even though he's a good player I I will stand on that hey for those that's watching I got it wrong typically the draft is always on Thursday and I thought the second day was Friday the draft is tomorrow and the second day is Thursday so I was wrong in that regard just so you know like here on the bench M we ain't got no problem saying we wrong we not Stephen A we not Oo we not what's his name over at on Fox uh skip skip not skip not skip the uh the the other one that be on uh with with joy and lesea McCoy what what's that man I'm marcelis Wy right n no no n n the one that be talking on Angel Ree and be uh pissing people off uh coward n no black guy uh played in NFL you know I'm talking about Greg AO or something like that oh yeah AO AO yeah yeah yeah we we'll say we wrong over here we we we don't got no problem over that now speaking of stuff that was possibly you know wrong it was a by Tom H he came with an article over for Yahoo sports talking about the the year that mj1 dpoy that season inflated certain box score statistics for the home team was a common League wide practice during that era there was a discrepancy of blocks Stills between home and Roose statistics for MJ to this point he has had the highest ever discrepancy of Home and Away stats to win a dpoy it was something along the line of he literally had about 482 Stills at home and away it was only like 120 go check out the article it details a lot and how actually this was a a practice during the 80s during the 70s during the time even with wilt and Bill Russell they said with wilt and Bill Russell they had 26 games that they registered 40 plus rebounds all 26 of those games were home games for each player so it was a lot of cooking the books for the home team during that time obviously in this era you can't really do that because there too many eyes and Technology on the game what does this mean for yah and that I know y don't have MJ as your goat but in that goat conversation and also in the conversation of that era of basketball which is always a conversation of the 80s and 90s is way better than now with this article coming out and it's not allegedly this is facts what does this mean for y'all hearing this information it doesn't surprise me um I I read the article and I I wasn't surprised when I saw it I was surprised it came out but I was not surprised that it happened you know you hear the way people talk about Michael Jordan from that era and they Praise Him in a way where he was he was a larger than life figure he was larger than light figure and you know it when that's the case and you have fandom at every single corner and every turn right you things like this could happen things like this could happen I also think the NBA was in a position where they needed a star they needed someone to push the game forward we know that we know about magic we know about you know Larry Bird we know about what they did for the NBA and how they changed league and I think Michael Jordan was the perfect kind of storm after those guys had kind of faded away magic obviously having the having to see his way out because of his medical situation and then obviously Larry because he used a jackhammer and messed up his back and so you know when those things happen and those guys have to see their way out the picture you need a new guy to kind of come in and be the face of the league and prop this thing forward and keep the league making making money and you know these these TV contracts and these deals coming through it makes a lot of sense that hey man like you know this guy Michael Jordan is really really good at basketball we don't need to do this we don't need to add to his legacy in any real way but what we're going to do is hey like we're gonna prop him forward in any way we can because people love this guy right it's good for the NBA that he is winning it's good for the NBA that he is becoming an iconic figure in real time I mean let's be honest by the time he had WN the F won the first three rings and went to go play baseball because he got you know because whatever happened happened um he was already an iconic figure he was already people would have already him the goat at that point I really believe that the way to talk about him they would have called him the goat at that point and so um you know I I think I think looking at the situation with Michael Jordan is not surprising it's not surprising at all and and honestly you know it completely Waters down the defensive player of the year award that he did win if it completely does it cannot be used as a notch against LeBron James um because LeBron should have won one I mean we we know we all know this this you should have won one um maybe well I shouldn't say we all know this people are people are crazy online but if you don't if you don't know now you know you should have won one all right and and so yeah I just look at it that way I think there's more that happened that we don't even realize and again you know the league was an expansion at the Time Michael Jordan played it was they were adding team to the league it it wasn't it just factually wasn't as talented as it is now in terms of the level of players that were in the NBA it just wasn't right that's not really a debatable thing it's just something you know people like to do because they want to protect this guy's Legacy at all costs right I look at Michael Jordan fans way I look at Tom Brady fans they are like they're sick in the head like it's it's crazy like the way to defend because I don't I don't like defend LeBron like that like it's just I just don't see the need to do it like it's there if you want to watch it go watch it but if you talk about Jordan or Brady in any way that's less than that's less than um uh praiseworthy if you're not praising these guys then people are going to attack you man that's just the way it seems to go it's very weird it's very very weird it's a weird level of fandom people are odd and they're weird and so you know I I'm not surprised by any of it um you know and and I love that it came out because I hear so much about Michael Jordan and and I think we we treat they were call him Black Jesus bro anybody you call black Jesus You're Gonna cheat for so say you called a dude Black Jesus you gonna do anything for that guy that's what they called him not a made him ni crazy right crazy come on anybody Jesus Is Wild by the way wild unless your name is Jesus I agree on the dpoy for Bron he should have been had one I speak to specifically that 2012 season that Mark Gasol won if any season braon should have won it it should have been that year we can dive into that on another on another day I might do a video for our followers and listeners breaking down that 2012 season to understand why he actually should have won dpy that year specifically you speaking of fans that are a little little insane when it comes to defending their favorite players uh sometimes you have it on the flip side where the player is kind of a little off The Rocker kind of does some questionable things you you you question their sanity you you question their motivation for why they do what they do person like that that comes to mind is Aaron Rogers Aaron Rogers has this situation been blown out of proportion with him missing some of those days for mini camp is this just A-Rod being A-Rod it doesn't matter he's back the season hasn't started what's y'all thoughts on this Aaron Rogers situation [Laughter] I'm thinking that mil's gonna jump in here and defend I I mean defend his man you know he plays no for um hold up well well you know what what I'll what I'll say here while while our friend miles figures out his situation on that side is listen man look I don't you can rub thr this under the rug you can't do that okay I think Aaron Rogers has a little bit of a history of doing what he feels like doing whatever he feels like doing it I you know and you I look I don't go off things that I think and just things that I see I think that'd be stupid because I'm not close enough to the situation to really speak about it like I'm an expert what I will say is when I hear Shannon sharp say something like you know I'm not just telling you that Aaron Rogers is selfish and aloof and all these things and there's a reason why he's only won one Championship he's been killing him by the way I'm sure you've all seen it and and he said I'm not just saying these things because I feel that way I'm saying these things because people who have play with them tell me those things and they don't say it out in public and then and then you look at the the look at the te leaves right like he got he got uh they replaced him they draft his replacement right essentially right when they took Jordan love a year after he won the MVP like that same season he they replaced they they H to draft him uh and so it to they it was a slow burn right they brought him along slowly but they knew they were never going to reup his contract they knew that they didn't want to really bring him back and and they knew that it was not because of the football it's not because of his ability to play football it's not is because of his ability to be a great player and and you know be a Hall of Fame level level player it's about what he is off the field and who he is off the field and what he brings to that locker room every time he walks up in there right when you go on a Darkness Retreat and that's fine do whatever you want to do no one cares no one cares you sp spewing conspiracy theories either it doesn't matter what you do off the Fiel really doesn't even matter as long as you're not committing a crime the problem is that this is starting to intertwine as he gets older with the football aspect of it I mean we're talking about a guy who was considering going out to be the host of Jeopardy right before they or you know and that's what we were talking about a few years ago for with him and this is all while he never retired right and then the story before this year started about him going to be a vice presidential candidate for J uh for JFK Jr or Robert no excuse me Robert K Robert Kennedy is i that's who it was Robert Kennedy so you know when you talk about that stuff you talk about that situation man and all the things that have happened to this point I don't know how you can look at it and say it's nothing he missed a mandatory minity Camp yeah he he doesn't necessarily need it but also he only played Four snaps last year before he got hurt they have a chance to do do something special you need all the chemistry you can build you need every single snap possible that you can build in this off season with those guys you just do you just do you really really do um this could all be nothing at the end of the day if he goes out there and plays great we I know that and I'm not rooting against against that I hope he does play great but if he doesn't if he doesn't in this city with what's happened this summer and what's happened the last few years with him it's it's gonna be I mean we live in New York we've seen some pretty bad things we've seen situations turn on guys pretty quickly in the media but it's gonna be really really bad for him if he does not play well like if he goes out in game one of the season and throws a couple picks and they lose it's going to start right then it won't take any time it's it's going to be immediate they're going to be on him and they will not stop and it's I don't know if he can handle that where he is he's very you know he's very you know that's who he is like you know what he what he say when he when he go to lie about getting vaccinated what you say he's just he's just arrogant he's immunized he's just he's just you know's I see a comment here uh he was calling plays last year though yeah sure I don't think it's about him not knowing the Playbook I think it's about him building camaraderie and chemistry with the guys on the team you know what I'm saying and then I I mean look there's rumors out there about him after he went on the iasa trip seeing seeing ghosts and all this stuff man I don't know I'm just telling you what I hear from people who are in the know and then what they say is that this guy is a problem in the locker room because he's not fully invested in the game and when you think about how talented he is and the fact that he only has one Championship how can you say otherwise that's all I'm gonna say all right I mean I let you get your a little ran off and all that but for uh for A-Rod that's the thing we already knew who he was coming in we had to make a move at some point this defense is way too good to sit back and let Zack Wilson run this team into the ground so they made that move sure and I'm sure you yeah you can knock him like he he got hurt first game first five minutes of the game first two minutes of the game he got hurt and that was unexpected but since December since January he's been at the facility like 99% of the time like he didn't miss a single day of OTAs he was at the many camps that we had only time he missed was this mandatory one which sure it's mandatory but I mean this is our quarterback we already know what we're gonna get from him like it's June like he'll be here in July early getting ready for the season um so he's got the the chemistry and camaraderie with the guys like they're not hating on him you're not seeing guys on this team saying he's a bad dude like these guys love him like I think sure there's times you get into it with people and he might have rubbed people the wrong way in Green Bay maybe it was a case of he was bitter that they drafted Jordan love or it just had run its course I mean in Green Bay that's what they do every 13 years they take a quarterback regardless if they need one or not that's what they do so um Jordan love could be as good as Aaron Rogers he might be just below that but like Aaron Rogers is Aaron Rogers we know who he is he's gonna go on a Darkness Retreat somewhere he's going to uh put his name name in the running for vice president which I mean never really saw any legitimacy with that um so we already know that we know this is the guy that is the quarterback for the New York Jets and I think he enjoys the kind of circus that is what he brings but like that's the thing I believe he can win here all the pieces are set for him to win here he just has to get it done um and last year it was gonna happen it was definitely gonna happen if not for those injuries because we still ended up what 7 n or eight and N something like that with a a backup of I don't even know what to call him I'm not throwing shade to him but he wasn't a good quarterback in New York so for us to win that many games with him imagine what happens with a quarterback who's won how many MVPs two three four I lost track I mean the gu's the guy's a good player so sure we can we can harp on the fact that he missed mandatory man camp sure but he's not a scrub he's not a first year guy second year guy that you're like worried about learning The Playbook or worried about getting the chemistry with the guys like he's got chemistry with Garrett he's got chemistry with chemistry with Corley he's got chemistry like all these guys already like it's just about getting on the field so I'm not I'm not stressing it I'm excited for the season um I'm I I'll be ready to talk football once it's time like right now it's like it is what it is it just feels like we're like drumming up not us but like the media drumming up topics to talk about and harp on and if you ran the Brooklyn half marathon instead of being there it's like oh he's not focused it's like who cares this the offseason mandatory Min Camp were not mandatory like give it a rest hold on hold on anything in this building that we're doing that doesn't have anything to do with winning needs to be assessed everything that we do has to have a purpose the bull Jive because we can't Cur on pod had that has nothing to do with winning has to get out of the building that's that's what Aaron Rogers said so Aaron Rogers said and he missed mandatory minute care that's what he said that's what he said he talking about winning cultures that's what he that's what he did that's what that he his actions are matching that quote right there that's the question are his actions matching that matching that quote because you know as much as I hate Tom Brady I give Tom Brady credit man the dude was all about the team I I give him credit to the point where he's willing to cheat for it you gota give him you gota give him credit man I mean he was all about winning he was all he was obsessed with winning that's all that mattered he was selfless in his pursuit of winning I will give him that and so we're watching we're kind of watching the opposite right now it's all I'm saying and I hope I really hope that he because look y'all get to y'all get to the AFC Championship that ain't good enough like that for people on the outside that's not good enough with everything he has everything at his disposal they're not going to care it's going to be cool for a Jets fan because it's been they what is it been 13 years since they've been to the playoffs so for them it's gonna be cool to be there they like hey we got to the club we're good we got in the party we finally got our IDs our fake IDs checked out we're good we got in thank God we're in now but for the for the person for the analysts who was watching aers their entire life that will not be good enough it is not good enough for him to just get in the club it's not it's it's not and so I hope that he remembers that because if he does not play well bro it's gonna get ugly miles you by the way mil said a whole lot of nice things a whole lot of good stuff you you wrote a great PR statement for this for this uh for this segment but you what you didn't do is address what I said if it gets if he does not play well if he hits a snag it's gonna get crazy and I we don't know if we can hand handle that pressure because it was not like that in Wisconsin nobody was really checking for him in Wisconsin the same way it's gonna be in New York and we all know that it's gonna get crazy so we're gonna see I'm looking very I'm looking forward to the season I ain't rooting on this downfall though I hope you guys have a good little Good Year I'm I'm you know I'm tuned in someone the New York has to have a good year it ain't gonna be the giant so why not the Jets right we'll see what happens that that little bit in there at the end that old saying you can't change the stripes on a zebra and I know you you the Jud probably gonna have a better season but I am locked in to watch that Giants on Hard Knocks because it looks that that trailer it looks good especially even they talking about they talk about the sequin thing on there said hey sequan you you going to promise me is this a deal hey it's going to get you know it's going to get CR and I had this thought it's gonna get real hectic if sequan was on the other end of that line and we hear him and he goes yes it's gonna get CRA because it's gonna put everything he said in doubt at the end what's gonna end up happening is fans Giants fans will hate him more than they hit him now and they shouldn't hate him now I I don't hate saquon Barkley I didn't want you back brother you did good go go get your money I have no problem what you did please you're you're fine with my book but if you said yes then Giants fans are going to run with it I don't care it worked out for in our favor why are we holding against them I don't care went to Eagles who cares man like who cares we w win win a Super Bowl with that guy on our team anyways you want him to go to the what Kansas City or something like whatever whatever man it's cool but I completely agree if it if that is the case which I'm looking forward to and I love that D ball mentions the importance of winning New York he he gets he understands yeah if that is true what Ticky Barber said which we don't justify we don't condone it's gonna be some people that really feel that way they G they gonna agree with Ticky if they if they hear that it already is there already are it's GNA get way worse I mean it's gonna be he's gonna come here and they'll sell out the stadium just to like throw stuff at him I mean look Nick's fans and Giants fans are compatiable they're like this so when you when you saw a Knicks fan spit on Trey young don't don't put a pass Giants fan to go spit on dude either those same guys are going to the gotta see your season ticket holders for the Giants I'm just saying spitting on a spitting on a player is Crazy by the way it's wild wild disrespectful anding off the show what our games as usual you both love wrestling you both watch wrestling going up what would y' wrestling name be if you had one that's a crazy ass question I have no idea I havea I just I just wanted to y'all don't have to actually answer I just wanted to see a smile on your face no Diddy no pause no Diddy I just wanted to get a little that is hilarious bro that is such a funny question I don't know man anything I say here willing willing can be used against me so yeah right if I say anything because crazy you know big purr would be you know Chris Chris would be big Pur but uh Chris would be Chris would be uh Chris would be courage a cowardly dog or something hey another another light-hearted question that's hilarious if you had these two options would you want your girl with a full-blown mustache for a year or hairy legs for 10 years I'm popping the balloons in both the CH situations man they're getting popped both sides hairy legs or mustache hairy legs for 10 years or full-blown mustache for one year if you're with an Hispanic woman near there's hair everywhere so I just say hairy I mean the mustache I can't I can't get down with that how how thick is the mustache you got M you got mile situation fullblown mustache damn yeah and legs is definitely legs bro but legs though legs is crazy because from the from the knee down she look she look like a a a a transfer student all right well it'd be all jeans and no lights in the crib H ending off with our sports stuff I'm man out which of these players have not had a 300 yard receiving game Julio Jones Antonio Brown Flipper Anderson or Calvin Johnson a 300 yard receiving game 300 yard receiving game I'm gonna say I'm G say I'm say flipper I'm say flipper I'm gonna say Calvin Johnson I probably wrong but let me say Calvin Johnson all right we're gon to start with the first one y'all said Flipper Anderson actually has the most at 3:36 this was back in 1989 he has the record currently from most yards in a single game number two for most yards in a single game Calvin Johnson at 329 2013 against the Cowboys Julio Jones had a 300 piece October 2016 against the Panthers Antonio Brown 284 was his career high for a single game odd man out 250 plus yard rushing game Barry
