the Chicago Bear have released their 2024 initial dep jart on Tuesday September 3rd and this team on paper is something to be excited about not just the starters but the overall depth of this team is something we're not used to along with the health of this team entering week one is in one of the best positions it's been in in ages there is a lot to be excited about for the Chicago Bears and I hope you guys are too hello everyone welcome back to this episode of just another year Chicago Bears my name is Nick Ro and as always thank you for tuning in I'm here to break down the Bears depth chart for you guys including finally seeing how much both of the sides of the trenches are going to have depth wise in how they look from a starters perspective and plenty more and before I get into today's video I am giving away a Caleb Williams autograph football in order to enter make sure you like this video subscribe to the Channel with notifications and comment in the comment section below fgb winner will be announced this upcoming Sunday during our postgame live so make sure you stay tuned in for that so let's just jump into it the Bears offense which looks absolutely fantastic has been set and it looks great compared to years's past starting from a quarterback perspective you have kale Williams and Tyson beun only two quarterbacks as your depth chart along with Austin breed on the practice squad I can mess with that that's a very solid quarterback room especially for the number one overall pick and a second string guy in Tyson be who's a proven winner in the NFL at 500 as a starter going over to the running back room quick you have DeAndre Swift khil Herbert ran Johnson and Travis Homer this room we all saw coming honestly if Travis Homer was hurt or anything or Ian wheeler was healthy I don't think Homer would be in this room but what's good about this room is that we do have a ton of debt and it's crazy that our running back one and running back two could both be running back ones on more than 25 NFL rosters at the moment a good issue for the Chicago Bears to have then you have ran Johnson who's going to be a great running back three a bully back but I expect him a lot to be used also from a passing game perspective as he had over 600 yards his rookie season so overall the running back room is absolutely set then you have a fullback Curry blasting game another solid veteran to have on your roster can also play running back and tight end so even though we aren't going to be running too many different uh offensive sets with a fullback he can play a variety of different positions and when we want to bring him in going over to the wide receiver room you have DJ Mo as wide receiver one Then followed by Keenan Allen romad dun Tyler Scott veis Jones J and DeAndre Carter DJ Moore is officially the wide receiver one I think he absolutely deserves it also he's getting paid for it but 1300 yards last year for the Chicago Bears with now a much better offense I think he's going to put up even better numbers then you have Keenan Allen the future Hall of Famer and six-time Pro Bowl as your wide receiver two who is still a starter by the way even though you're wide receiver two he will be a starter just a great problem to have he would be our wide receiver one in any other year minus last year but Keenan Allen a great player so now you have DJ Moore and Keenan all lead your right wide receiver room followed by rookie romad dun who gets to learn from these guys and will still get a lot of playing time even though he's wide receiver three and Tyler Scott will be a great downfield deep threat kind of guy or a slot wide receiver that this Bears team definitely needs in different offensive sets but your first four wide receivers are great bis Jones Jun DeAndre Carter are mainly used for their special teams which I'll get to in a little bit but also solid de and bis Jones can play running back as well then quickly going over to the tight end room you have Cole KT Gerald Everett and Mercedes Lewis this is the best tight end room that the Chicago Bears have had in a very long time in my personal opinion Co KT's coming off the last two seasons with 15 total tackles and over 1500 receiving yards Everett had his career years under shame walren and was Cale Williams favorite Target during camp and Mercedes Lewis is just a solid veteran to have and a huge mentor to help get these guys not only from a tight end room perspective but the entire offense as a whole and a great leader 10 total offensive linemen for the Chicago Bears though starting from left to right you have left tackle starting Braxton Jones te Jenkins at left guard Coleman Shelton at Center Right Guard Nate Davis and right tackle darn out right as your starters Coleman Shelton won the starting job which I think was welld deserved because it seemed like he only had one bad snap off Camp of course it was like his one of his first ones but overall a solid offensive line better than last year developing young getting into the groove of things and really the offense depends on these guys and how they did this preseason definitely speaks volumes going from a depth perspective you have Karan amaji as your left tackle as your backup left guard Ryan Bates who can also play center backup center Doug Kramer so the Bears technically have three centers on this roster Right Guard Bill Murray who had a great preseason and right tackle Matt prior who also can play tackle and guard so 10 offensive lineman not bad but this offense overall guys you can't tell me that you have seen one better in the last 10 years very excited for this unit as a whole polls did a great job putting it together it's only going to get better from here too but they look great starting out of the gate for the beginning of the season and before we get more into Today's Show I would like to thank today's sponsor authentical organic tequila a Chicago based startup with making their tequila in guadalahara Mexico is USDA or certified organic no additives and comes in three great flavors well price to smooth and awesome I love authentico and if you guys are tequila fans you definitely need to try it go to the link in the description now to find authentic code near you you guys are not going to want to miss it it is one of the best Tequilas I've ever had and you're supporting a local Chicago business now let's head over to the defense going from left to right in the trenches which I think over the last couple week has gotten significantly more stock is at left Edge you have montz sweat followed by darado Taylor and Dominique Robinson your left defensive tackles Andrew billions and Zack Pickins paired up next to montz sweat from an other side of the trenches you have Javon Dexter Senor as the other starting defensive tackle and then your other starting Edge was Demarcus Walker followed by Chris Williams Behind Dexter Senor Austin Booker behind Walker and Daniel Hardy a solid defensive line the front four alone is going to be quarterback nightmares along with having that depth again one of my favorite moves has been keeping Hardy and also D derell Taylor that we brought in a couple weeks ago for a six round pick from the Seattle Seahawks but I like how they set this up because you have Montes SWAT and Andrew Billings who are about four inches differ in diameter and length obviously Andrew Billings weighs way more but then you have big Javon Dexter Senor and a shorter Demarcus Walker on the outside so the balance of size is absolutely there which doesn't make it easy for offensive lines in order to double team against these guys so really good setup overall probably going to see them you know shuffling around on the defensive and offensive line as well um or sorry just on the defensive line but overall solid unit overall great depth to things are looking good and a lot better than they were at the beginning of the camp going to the linebackers you have your starters being termaine Edmond and TJ Edwards and then you have ammen soell and sorn as your guys backing them up I mean Sor is definitely going to be the first man up and then the other two are really for special teams and depth if needed but a great room big guys fast good tacklers all expertise in their own areas so you're going to probably see a lot of different linebacker rotations as well but very good stuff here from a depth perspective I like what they have on the field for the Chicago Bears and things are looking positive the defensive secondary de looks absolutely dangerous starting safeties are jaquin brisker and Kevin Bard your starting nichels Kyler Gordon then you have Jaylen Johnson and Tyreek Stevenson and any of the guys behind them can play any sort of position that's the versatility that we need you have Elijah Hicks behind brisker you have Jonathan Owens behind byard you have Josh Blackwell behind Kyler Gordon you have Jaylen Jones behind Jaylen Johnson and then Terrell Smith behind Tyreek Stevenson so this room is Big they're fast they're young this group could be together for a very long time actually I mean most of them are on multiple year contracts but the Bears definitely did a good job Hing on this because these guys are also the Special Teams Gunners they're going to make things really difficult on receiving teams from a kickoff and a punt return perspective but overall solid o room here from a defensive perspective again I'm saying this defense is going to be top 10 in the NFL top five you know what I scratch that I'm going top five for sure they look dangerous they get takeaways I a huge fan of what's next for the Chicago Bears defense and I think you guys should be too I'm already pounding that they're going to have over 25 takeaways this upcoming season quickly going through the Special Teams obviously CYO Santos is your your kicker your punter is Tory Taylor your Long Snapper is Scott Dy who we just picked up until Patrick scales is back your kick returner is going to be V Jones Jr which is obviously a lock in that's where I think he's mainly kept on this roster guys to be fully honest with you they tried putting him in other areas show he had versatility and they found it at running back but great kick returner so excited about him and then DeAndre Carter who we brought in and uh right before training camp it's one of the League's better punt returners I know he had that fumble in the preseason but that's okay it's the Bears are in a very good position no more mocked punts or kickoffs or anything like that I'm liking our special teams unit so far and I think P's did a great job putting it together but overall guys great team here great depth one of the more exciting teams that I've seen on paper in a long time for the Chicago Bears and I think they're going to win a lot of games I got them standing at 12 and5 and I would love to hear what you guys have to think too but I'm excited for this season it's going to be great and I'm totally looking forward to it but with that thank you as always tun this episode of Justin other Chicago Bears my name is Dick Brody and as always Bear Down Baby
