A fire suddenly broke out in Trabuco Canyon, The fire has now spread to nearly 5,500 acres.#news

on September 9th 2024 a fire suddenly broke out in Trabuco Canyon Orange County the fire has now spread to nearly 5,500 Acres according to preliminary investigations the fire was sparked by heavy equipment operating near the canyon igniting the brush residents in the surrounding area have been evacuated however this is not the largest fire in Orange County's history due to the subtropical dry summer climate the area is extremely dry in summer leading to frequent large-scale wildfires for example on October 21st 2007 a major Wildfire occurred in Silverado Canyon and spread to Trabuco Canyon prompting immediate evacuation of Canyon residents by the fire department on May 11th 2022 a forest fire destroyed 20 homes in Orange County including a million dooll mansion we will continue to monitor how and when this Wildfire will be extinguished
