yeah this is my version of DeAndre Swift uh for Skyler I'm going to never draft zamir white even once um going in the board uh off the board uh 67th overall pick mid six round um running back 23 he was solid last year in four games Right double digit points in every game um that being said it was still like RB 12 Peak rb2 floor um but those each came against defenses that were ranked 22nd or worst against the run in the NFL at that point in the season and it was end of season where a lot of those teams were either in playoff contention and their spot already locked in or they were out of contention and weren't necessarily giving 100% either um and and when you look at the entire profile of a player it's something I've really been stressing on Twitter as of late like really having to look at everything that goes into these guys he had very limited usage in the receiving game he's appeared in 31 games as a running back in his career and has 19 targets with 15 receptions for 98 yards and no touchdowns this guy is not a pass Catcher by any means we've seen that even in in training camp so far this year where Dylan la is coming out and reportedly getting most of the the passing down work when they're Runnings um and we're also talking about a guy who's about to be 25 has torn his ACL twice I'm not projecting injury but I need to have some level of confidence in the player I'm drafting if I'm using a top eight round pick on him and he has just no upside in the receiving game question marks over his actual touchdown upside given he scored one last year even with a phenomenal workload towards the end of the season when I can draft running backs later like Zach Moss Raheem moer Pard single ter javante even Zeke who can be had 10 to 40 picks later not to mention you're also passing on quarterbacks like Dak or Kyler tight ends like Evan Ingram wide receivers like Christian Kirk Terry McClaren Chris Godwin every other player in that range actually has upside and I view zamir white is having absolutely zero upside whatsoever yeah it's it's just where you're taking them right you're you're passing on potential difference makers in in a in a vacuum like we look at projections for somebody's got to get these touches and he he's very clear he's going to be the lead back there for me sure to some of the receiving work had taken away yeah I mean if he gets 30 40 targets it's going to be enough to be a running back too and he could very much kind like stumble his way into that it could be very Jerome forward like last year where he just gets the 20 touches a game and he's going to finish somewhere between running back 20 to 28 every single week and you're probably okay with it in your lineup the thing is is I don't want to spend my sixth round pick to get that type of production right I think that's something we can find in season a little bit more replaceable um but if he were to fade right earlier in the off season after we knew he he was going to be the lead back he's going maybe 80s 90s I'm the only one time I've drafted him I took him at pick like 101 I think he's totally fine there right if he were to slide round eight nine 10 we're past the premium players we're we're starting to take rookies we're starting to take quarterbacks I think we'll hit the wire points in the season tight ends will hit the wire points of the Season fire away I think is a m way it'd be totally fine that entry cost I mean it's it's a guy who could be your second running back not a problem it's just round six that that's where it's a trap right that that's where the Trap really comes from um I don't think he's a complete enough player I don't think his offense has enough uh potential in in in scoring points for him to to justify this for me to think oh he could realistically he could be an rb1 I I don't see it I I don't see where it goes I'm I'm totally cool fading him here as well I just want to say like it's not I wouldn't draft him I mean if he was going 80s 9s like I'm I'd consider it on on the correct draft not in the 60s I'm not even convinced he doesn't split the early down plotting work with Alexander Madison I don't think either I don't think Alexander Madison is a good running back in any sense of the term good I'm not convinced Samir White's any better we'll see see I think they like him enough to where he'll get the he'll get a lot of the bulk of the carries but he's a ninth round player best like sixth round you're committing way too much to your team that where like you said the god wins all this other stuff where he should be supplementing he shouldn't be a Cornerstone exactly when you're talking Dyan L Alexander Madison you're talking names like behind dein single ter when we're bringing up Tyron Tracy we're bringing up Eric gray I think that the offense there in the Giants is also pretty poor Ste Cleary goes two to three rounds later than zamir white I think it's very comparable right you want that very boring he could finish running back 20 to 28 every single week you get Deon Singletary is like running back 29 off the board round nine that's where zamir white should be so if you do like zamir white and you're trying to sell yourself it's boring Draft Deon single ter I think that's pretty much the same bet just a lot later also the practicing of patience let's say you really do want zamir but you commit to the fact that he's at least a ninth round pick that means you're lowering your risk so much and if he ends up falling there you're able to to realize the if he hits his ceiling and you you take him there you get to realize all that benefit with way less risk and it makes you a better builder of your team because then the rest of your team is a lot more um solid and strong at the same time
