at one Oak Field with Tulsa Drillers pitcher Ben casparius who just picked up the victory with six strong innings in a win over Northwest Arkansas Ben the longest outing by a driller's pitcher this season going six Innings has the field to um reach that Milestone it feels good you know we stuck to a plan um they were aggressive early on in the game and uh I didn't have to do too much today I think our defense played great behind me and um I was able to give us six and that's you know that's my job and we're able to forunate fortunate enough to get the win as well talk about Pitch efficiency and how important it is for you to go deeper into the games yeah I think to one of the main points we talked about earlier this week was just getting ahead with the fast ball and you know if it's in zone sometimes they're going to make contact put it in play and I was able to get some quick outs that way and uh pick up some strikeouts when I needed to in uh deeper counts so last season you came up to the Drillers uh from high after the season started and um you really finished strong uh strong final month of the Season what was the difference for you uh in that final mon yeah I think I think for the most part kind of like today was just making sure my fast ball was in the strike zone being aggressive with everything trusting my stuff and um really just letting the hitters get themselves out and just stay in attack mode even when things weren't going well for me and just kind of pick up Innings and give our team a chance to win talk about that transition from high a to Able a yeah I think I think it's the biggest transition at least I've I've seen so far in my career is just the discipline with the doublea hitters their approach and being able to kind of you know go throughout a game and figure out what we're trying to do to them and then obviously our job is to you know keep that plan but also adjust as the game goes on so um there's a lot more thought process process that goes into it and that's kind of how you come out on the other side at least from my perspective and uh you went to Yukon and uh are you a big Yukon basketball fan how excited were you about the national championship huge Ukon basketball fan men's and women's it's um unbelievable program school um and it was fun to watch them do it for the back toback years so yeah so you are pretty excited yeah it was it was awesome um and again like Dan Hurley does a good job there's a great culture over there with all sports so I wasn't too surprised after the first couple tournament games so it was a lot of fun to to watch and be able to R them on
