Justin what was your mentality going out there today uh with knowing what was on the line and how proud are you how of how well you played today yeah I uh I put myself in a tough spot I mean but I just had to play as as well as I can and make as many birdies as I could um it's said the unfortunate part about being not only that far back but that small of a field is it's hard to pass a lot of people but uh I played really well today I mean it I just have gotten literally nothing out of any rounds this week um really for two weeks now but you know it was it was uh my destiny is probably a lot more in the hands of unfortunately other people than my own unless I shot 10 or 11 under today but uh I I feel like I somewhat did my part now hopefully it uh pans out how frustrating have had the last maybe a couple weeks been not getting as much out of the rounds as you would have liked yeah it's a bummer you know because it's like we we all know how much uh the playoffs hold I mean you have to play well you know I feel like i' I've played plenty solid enough all season to be in Atlanta but I haven't played well in the playoff events and that's when you have to um so it's you know playing a place last week I love and just couldn't get anything going and then really just had a a terrible start this week and really kind of put myself behind the a ball but um yeah it it it's a bummer but I I just really really hope I get a chance in Atlanta because anything can happen with how early you went off were you paying much attention at the board and what what put like what you were doing and where you were I was trying not to I mean I just needed to like I said I had to play as well as I could and make as many birdies as possible and and shoot shoot as low as I could um honestly my main priorities today were just uh really trying to beat Christian and uh and Aaron I felt like if I tied or be Christian I would have a great great chance or it would definitely help and I saw I think he's birdied kind of like three of the four of the last C handful of holes so um that unfortunately doesn't look like it's going to happen but uh yeah like I said I've very much is not in my control anymore what's the plan for you the rest of the day I'm just going home just going to go to Jupiter and uh there's no need for me to sit here and stress this out all afternoon um it's you know it sucks but it's the position I put myself in so um I'm happily just going to go home and get a couple nights at home and then hopefully head to Atlanta on Tuesday did this round kind of feel like the wind last year really no definitely not um it it I mean it was it's just weird I mean the playoffs are fun like that because you know I felt some things in those last couple holes that you uh you know feel similar to trying to win a golf tournament just when you you know if you don't advance to the next stage you don't have a chance and that's all I want I mean I understand that you know if I do get into Atlanta I'm I'm going to be Beyond a long shot but in my eyes I have a chance and that's all I want so um it is it's a lot of pressure but like I said you got to play well at the right time and um and that's what the playoffs are about if you want to get into Atlanta do you feel like you've done enough to be on on the President's Cup team um I don't know I mean there's definitely I would say you have arguments both ways I mean it's um at least I I I feel like I played well in some some very in some big tournaments this year I just did it earlier in the season uh I would say more so than later so it's you know I would say a lot of that has to do with a little bit of recency bias versus you know the entire season but I know that I'm playing well enough but um that's not you know that's that's up to the to Jim and the rest of the captains and the guys on the team and uh but like I said My Hope Is that I get to Atlanta and I prove that uh that I belong playing with kind of around Max with Max just he had a good round today he's obviously kind of been struggling the last couple months how good just to see a friend play Well when things haven't really been going as well it wasn't really that great I wish he would have shot four under instead of five under it would have helped me a lot uh I told him I I said when he made that putt on 17 I had some kind words for him as we were walking off but no I yeah I we Max and I have always been close but we've somehow become closer and I think you know we're kind of we call each other like kind of accountabil buddies like we we feel like we say stuff to each other that maybe other guys wouldn't say because we're competitors and we're trying to beat each other but you know we're very similar and we both want what's best for each other and uh it's fun playing together on a Sunday just not the second group off
