I BROUGHT BACK MIKE LEACH AND THE TEXAS TECH AIR RAID IN CFB 25!!

Welcome Back YouTube and welcome back to Saturday night lights in this video today from what y'all see from the thumbnail and title of this video yes we will be bringing back Mike Leech and his famous Air Raid Offense to college football 25 if y'all have no or little knowledge on Mike Leech he innovated and cre created a passing system that became well known throughout every level of football just last December Mike Leech did pass away at the age of 61 still had a tremendous impact on the game of football and what is being seen today from offenses all across the nation leech's head coaching career he has zero conference and national championships but he still had a great impact on the game of football by taking a simple 80s West Coast offense and turn it to the extreme by using time basing passing system stretching out the field and also utilizing the running back in the passing game by taking this simple system and turning it into a passing Masterpiece Mike leeches system led to success in Oklahoma to where before he got there the University of Oklahoma was a average program three years as Mike Leech as the OC he turned Oklahoma into a offensive Powerhouse breaking passing records year after year in just three years Mike Leech was offered the head coaching job at Texas Tech and that's where the Texas Tech AA race system started Cliff kingsbery as his quarterback in 2002 bleach and the air Ray system at Texas Tech put up 40 points in nine of their 14 games Mike Lee's system became so electric that the Big 12 became an electric passing offensive conference because they couldn't stop mik Leach's system and these numbers weren't even being seen at any level of football countless passing records and even in 2007 quarterback threw for 5700 yards in a season but that doesn't even break the stratosphere of what the Red Raiders did in 2008 they had their best season yet as they beat Texas in a thriller 38- 33 on a last second touchdown to well-known Receiver Michael Crabtree Texas Tech became a Powerhouse in the Big 12 and that is what Mike Leech did for every single program that he went to even at Washington State they broke the single game passing record with 734 passing yards in a game in 2014 Mike Leech even had NFL vet Gardner menu looking like the next coming of Patrick momes with a great season at Washington State at 11 and2 so yes when you think about Mike Leech and his impact on the game of football no matter where he went no matter what pieces he had around him the passing offense was always going to be elite and when you look around today and even when you look in the NFL at the Patriots in the early 2000s their similarities to the quick passing game or you can even look at the Chiefs now there are so many similarities to that air raise system so in this video in this series I will be honoring Mike Leech and my love for the game of football by bringing him back and bringing back this Texas Tech air raise system from the mid and early 2000s back to college football 25 and my goal by the end of this series is to bring Mike Leech not just a conference Championship but bring him his first national championship to college football 25 this will be an entertaining series man my passion for the game of football runs deep my knowledge for the game of football runs deep and the air raay system has been a staple throughout so many passing Concepts from high school to college to like I said in the NFL so in this series we will be choosing Texas Tech obviously and we will be running the air raay system and Mike Leech will be our head coach so like I was telling y'all the airay system is a passing system so we will be throwing the ball a lot I will be taking a lot of aay Concepts into my offense and we're going to see if we can take the air raid and take throwing the football 80 to 85% of the time can that work in college football 25 and can we win a National Championship obviously we're going to be a head coach so in that aspect right obviously Mike Leech is going to be our head coach Mike Leech I feel like is more of a tax tactician type of Coach rather than a recruiter than a motivator him being his famous and well-known Air Raid Offense I feel like he'll be more of a tactician which you know they boost the players ratings on Game Day scheme up the big plays and let division fly there we go so I feel like he's definitely a tactician over a motivator and a recruiter so we going to go tactician right here here goes our head coach Mike Leech The Legend um I searched over 500 different face scans on this game this is the closest one I could find to Mike Leech y'all let me know if this looks like Mike Leech I don't know I couldn't find it I couldn't even find his height or anything I just it was just going off what we know man but this is going to be a very fun um rebuild a very fun series man especially throwing the football it's going to be amazing um here we go let's go ahead and get into it with Mike Leech at the HM yo man here goes the years that Mike Leech was the head coach from Texas Tech he was the head coach there from 2000 to 2009 um the farthest on this game it goes back is 2004 it goes back 20 years but as you see right here Mike Leech they made it to a bowl game in 2004 they made it to the Direct TV Holiday Bowl they were 8 and4 9 and3 made it to the guaranteed great Bowl in 2006 8 and5 and then they also made it to the tax Slayer Gator Bowl in 2007 and then that was the year also where their quarterback threw for 5700 yards and then in 2018 this while I saying early in their intro their best season yet 2008 when they took down Texas and they had a stacked team with well known names as Michael Crabtree all those guys in 2008 then they went 9 and four then they went to the Alamo Bowl right there so they had a good year even after Mike Leech but from when Mike Leech left this Texas Tech program hasn't been the same as you look right here you see a lot of losing seasons over this is right here is about six years straight of losing Seasons um but we're coming here and we're we plan on changing that today bringing back Mike Leech bringing back this air system bringing back this tradition of winning football to Texas Tech here we go man y'all know with the Air Raid Offense it is very heavy as based and here is our quarterback who will will be going to the season as our starter Morton I think it's beon Byron I think it's beon beron Morton the junior out of Eastland Texas he can move a little bit has a has a good arm really good arm you know and he's a he's a you know he's a pocket passer quarterback he can also step out of the pocket and make stuff happen so I mean he is a junior he will be our starring quarterback this year um he does have Star Development which is really good and he also has pocket you know abilities such as Dot um slight a hand pull down step up he has silver and bronze abilities so he is gonna be our quarterback he's going to be the the guy behind the Helm of this offense and going forward we're going to make sure no matter what draft class we have we have an elite quarterback on our team because this is what the air rate system is about this is what Mike Leech is about throwing the football and no matter who the quarterback is is putting up numbers in the passing game is arguably and probably our best player on this team our running back Taj Brooks um in this air ra offense we're not a big it's not a big run facet offense and we do have a PowerBack who's not the best at catching the ball out the back field at all um he's definitely a downhill running back and in this offense there's going to be a lot of we need more of a receiving back more of an elusive guy but tajj Brooks will still be our starting running back he will just over the season you know have to learn how to catch the ball out the back field more and you know in certain situations so I feel like we'll be good there but we also do have a receiving back right here and Davis The Freshman red shirt freshman quick too he's really fast at 90 speeed he's a quick back so he's definitely going to play a lot especially him having that safety vow and everything like that he is going to be perfect in this offense here we go probably the most important position on the team outside of quarterback or receivers we don't have bad receivers at all we also got a 80 overall I think he has Elite development trait yes Elite development trait he was a five-star recruit Texas Tech was able to pull him he is going to be a game changer for us this year a game changer for us this year and for the years to come but this team does not have bad receivers at all really good receivers good speed uh good height on the outside so definitely going to be a really definitely a really good receiving core great tight ends I'm not sure how much the a Raid Offense uses uses tight ends but we're definitely wein definitely have some really good tight ends that can make plays um not a bad offensive line defensive line is good free got a freshman rsby great player 94 block shed um not a bad defensive line linebackers are pretty good um dude Dingle will be our user for sure with this 87 speed great Corners even a 98 speed Corner who's a freshman um also really good safety 96 speed safety and if y'all also watch if y'all if y'all have watched my University of Houston rebound if y'all are watching it now right now we have this guy and he makes plays for us he was a he was in the transfer portal last year in our University of Houston rebuild we ended up picking him up um he was a transfer from Texas Tech and now he's with me now here at Texas Tech which is crazy so he's going to be able to make plays we got sford so really good safeties man um CJ bville I feel like he's going to be a really good in the box safety for us um really good guy um he also has Platinum wrapup so he's going to make tackles he has silver he has um bronze Jammer really good abilities for him so yeah I feel like this team though is really good though man I feel like feel like Mike Leech can turn this program around and you know bring in guys that can really really be helpful for this team here is our schedule for this season in the first game we will be playing number three ranked Texas the reason why I scheduled Texas for the first game of the season is because one it's a rivalry game a big rivalry game and number two back in 2008 Mike Leech was able to beat Texas in a thriller 38 33 in the last second touchdown so I feel like it's only right we scheduled Texas give us a test our first game of the season and make it a rivalry game and get the seats packed for the first game of the season in leic Texas and then from there we also play one of the programs that Mike Leech coached at Washington State we played him second week in washing Washington you know I feel like this is a big tribute game to Mike Leech man um both teams he he C both places in both programs he coached that you know built up these two programs and it's only right Mike Leech you know versus Washington State that's going to be a good game and then we got North Texas and then here comes just conference Play We also play Colorado shador Sanders we play Oklahoma State that's going to be a really really really big rivalry game for us so you know we got our hands full this season you know a really I would say a tough schedule yeah that will be our schedule for this season this will be our recruiting board going into the season um brought in some really really good quarterbacks quarterbacks we like um as well some fast quarterbacks too that can take off and run brought in a lot of different receiving and a elusive backs that fit our system brought in some speed at receiver um also brought in a tight end to the board and also a big big thing we brought in was pass protecting offensive linemen added those to the recruiting board andone defense is just bringing in athletes that's really all it's about for us is just finding those athletes that can come here and that can make an impact you know long corners on the outside that's what we're about and just bringing in athletes on defense yeah but that's our recruiting board so far going into this season here we go we got week one versus number three ranked team in the nation University of Texas here we go this will be a rivalry game um I think we're all set for set for today man U Mike Leech came got his team prepared um y'all know that Morton will be our starting QB this season with tajj Brooks one of the best running backs in this game but he doesn't fit Mike leech's air raid system that much so we will be playing Davis the receiving back out of Texas he will be getting a lot of touches out the back field in addition to that we got receivers Kelly um five star freshman um Hudson he'll be getting a lot of Touches at receiver we also got 64 90 speed Caleb Douglas um receiving group is very very good also we have this senior McCrae that will be playing a ton um tight ends we don't really use that much in this system but we do have really good tight ends um the corners this this season will be Lux and 98 speed true freshman Miles Thompson he will be starting at corner the red shirt freshman uh McCarthy is going to be kind of that slot guy and we do have speed at safety with Sanford and Harrison pilot if y'all watch the University of Houston rebuild this guy was the reason why we beat the University of Texas in you know on our University of Houston rebuild if y'all go back and watch the University of Houston series he's a big part of our team um also we got you know Baskerville who senior really it's going to be really great in the Box for us so yeah that'll be our team this season man um I feel it's going to be a great year for us I feel like it will be um Mike Leech he got his team prepared and again still watching the video I true freshman and that is the true freshman on that wide Trail breaking two tackles getting down to the red zone and that is what I'm talking about from this true freshman here we go we going to hand it off right here to our Big B Taj J Taj Brooks one of the best running backs in this game just cuz we're an air raid system that does not mean we will not run the football there we go Taj Brooks man the senior touchdown Red Raiders let's go run like I said man this Texas team they run the ball a lot and that's a pick by Dingle great pick great play on the ball right there I think that's by the sophomore come on let's watch the tape he kind of fakes up like he's playing a run and then he just dips back and plays it perfect and gets the pick that's one thing we like about this linebacker he's a sideline to sideline linebacker he can play in space and he was able to he was able to pursue the run but then also drill R back to the pass and then make a beautiful play on the ball that was a great play by the sophomore linebacker here we go we got second and team right here we're gonna try this little deep attack and that is the catch that's the catch by our freshman the receiving back Davis like I told y'all man we're recruiting receiving and Elusive backs Davis is one of those guys man red shirt freshman but a great talent in the Red Zone Third and five we're going to try this little RPO again and it works and that might be a touchdown touchdown Red Raiders come on man another touchdown on the board by Texas Tech here we go man and that is a touchdown by Texas man they saw that little post route over the top Corner was not able to follow it and they just ran a good cover three beater right there touchdown Texas here we go going to try this little running back swing um little play action play see if this gets open and that is a DOT by Morton touchdown Red Raiders the tight end with the big catch and the great route off the corner great play great throw even a better catch touchdown Red Raiders man we are now up 217 versus number three ranked team in the country here we go we're going to switch it up now we're going to go cover two right now cover two here we go can we get off the field early can we get off the field early they come back to the run and they get it they came they came back to the Run they got the first down like I said one thing about this Texas team they love the running football no matter what it is you saw right there they just ran it on Third and long they will run the ball and that's a beautiful tackle beautiful Tackle by dingo right there here we go we got UT back in the Red Zone right here can we stop him right here though oh and he just tripped me ah linebacker had the pick man tight end hit him with that whip route I thought he was going to stay in but he ended up coming back out on the whip touchdown Longhorns here we go going for it though right here we're going for it we're going to try a little we're going to try a little angle right right here first read is going to be Davis and Davis gets it that's just a beautiful route sitting right there in that hole between a Rover and the linebacker great great really just this Texas d line bro I'm telling you any any any players that have Platinum quick jump and all these abilities on the defensive line it's it's really it's really insane how fast that defensive line gets there we just got to we we just got to keep we just got to keep playing football man keep playing Mike Leech air raid system football getting the ball out fast here we go was that that was good coverage by our corner but that was just a better catch by the um by the line by the receiver touchdown Texas Man game is tied now man um they're just killing us right now on those motions on the rpos that's one thing that this Texas team they do a lot of a lot of rpos a lot of runs and now you see the game is tied man 210 oriented and there are so many open looks in this we will be back we will be back great game by us man let's go ahead and let's look at the stats from our players today our quarterback Morton like I said like I told y'all y'all know in this a Raid Offense we throw the ball a lot we threw the ball 52 times Morton had 373 passing yards 69% completion percentage two touchdowns he had a great game it was just that last play I saw the wide Trail play open I saw it but I just saw it way too late I saw the little end route way too late man their quarterback playing an amazing game 21 for 23 but again in the rushing game was not that bad we don't we didn't run the ball that many times but we when we did ran it we we ran it well great game by Douglas Hudson like I said I told y'all the running backs are going to play a huge factor in the passing game and they did man The Freshman red shard freshman Jamari Davis with seven catch for 70 TJ Brooks with five catches for 26 a lot of catches out the back field today defensively defensively we had no sacks we got to fix that we got to get after the quarterback but again I am not disappointed about this game from us and the rare Raiders but it is sad to see that we lost that game it came down to the wire I could have kicked the field goal I want y'all to drop down in the comments should I have kicked the field goal right there and just went to overtime I honestly I was scared to go over overtime versus Texas so I tried to just take it and win it all but again man I'm not disappointed in Mike elch and our crew man great game week two versus is Washington State this will be the tribute game to Mike Leech as y'all know when I was putting together the schedule Mike Leech did coach at Washington State but this game will be played on episode two of this series man this will be the end of episode one um last week we weren't able to pull up the win versus the University of Texas but I'm happy at what we did I'm very happy at where we are as a program after that game we were able to go head to-head with a top three team in the nation tajj Brooks Davis are true freshman five star receiver all of them had great games and you know I feel like this team this program Mike Leech we have such such a high selling for this program and what we can accomplish and like I said I just want to bring M leech a national championship because I feel like he was a pioneer of you know such a well-known and respected passing concept just such as the air raid and you know I just want to pay homage to that me being someone you know love the game of football I I have a lot of respect for Mike Leech what he did I've read multiple of his books um you know so yeah that's really going to be it for this episode man I want to be more consistent on this channel and you know that is my mission to post more content for y'all cuz y'all be in the comments asking me oh where's the ufh series and all that and I love it I love it I love it I love it that y'all are telling me that because
