fourth and Seth Brown It's a walk-off single off Trent thoron to make it 3 to2 the positive is Luis Castillo was solid very solid outing and Troy Taylor looks really good Troy Taylor looks really good offensively congrats to Big dumper on uh breaking the Mariner RBI total yippy whoopy flipping do I I love you big dumper I just have a hard time celebrating a stat like that on a day like tonight and I guarantee you big dumper doesn't give a you know what about it either I it is funny it's really funny and it's also heartbreaking absolutely heartbreaking to watch this offense just suck out loud with that he's certainly having a average season but he's had two well above average Seasons now he's probably not a superstar yet really good player because of what he provides defensively has to get more consistently offensively cannot just be hot and cold has to if he wants to be a star if he wants to be a superstar great defense is great and having these hot runs is fantastic got to show it more consistently luckily the age of 23 I think he can unfortunately the Seattle Mariners are an organization that has not proven that they can develop hitting so needed to keep auo for the good times Vibes yeah I mean I think they I've talked about it a lot I think they really miss aoo Suarez every single loss is the same offense does nothing Bullpen blows a late game lead or late game tide game because the offense could barely score all game yeah it it just becomes a a high leverage thing and the Mariners have been bad in high leverage situations this year offensively pitching some defensive gaffs in those situations just not a good enough pitching staff so if Munoz wasn't available you still got to go with somebody other than Trent Thorton in that situation Trent Thorton's not good Trent thoron is not a good relief pitcher he is a guy that's nice to have because of the ability to go multi- Innings and there is the occasional spurt where he shows that Wipeout slider just doesn't have nearly the command to be a high leverage guy can't be that can't be him let's see here all right so we talked about the Randy thing that that was just a bad look bad look he's gotten on base at a nice little clip but he's got to be better and now it doesn't matter but he's got to be better in 2025 for sure I would love to have those Robo refs Andrew who do we keep for next year's team well that's a good question let's look at that got your Sketcher you're GNA have JP Crawford be the short St stop that's he just has such a team-friendly contract and he's so beloved that he's your short stop so it's pointless to not think about it so catcher taken care of Short Stops taken care of left Field's taken care of even though Randy rosarin has been a mixed bag at best center field obviously taken care of I think right Field's taken care of I think roblas is probably your starting right fielder next year and then your rotation but we'll see if they make moves with that rotation long story short they need to upgrade in a lot of places first base second base at this point I don't think they pick up Pano's option uh third base for sure and then you could make another move for an outfielder and designated hitter but Mitch Garver is making 12 million next year so he's gonna get a shot yeah Dan Wilson has not looked competent to me and I'm not rooting against him obviously and I was critical of the hiring I have not been impressed with Dan Wilson cannot wait to trade toy Taylor for a second Bas when Le turns into Dylan have you seen this script oh Justin so Justin says your team is what he's capable of I get frustrated when guys like JP Crawford and Mitch Garver you know who has been a terrific offensive player in the past you know those are the guys to get frustrated with there's just some guys here who can't get it done like like Josh Roos is just is not a starting player Dylan Moore is not a starting player Luke Ry really should be a bench bat even though he was terrific in August so yes more blame needs to go to the players than has been given I don't know if most of the owners should go to him Matt I totally get it totally get it I was nine in 1992 and I don't want to watch most of these games either yep it's it's the track record thing man how do they how how do you justify this how do you justify this how much are we regretting not trading for or four wins why is Dan trusting Garver so much is just them seeing if they have anything or if they're going to eat money or did I miss something I think they want to get the most out of their 12 million JP at second base I totally agree with that he should be the second baseman next year and yeah uh let's see what has Justin Hollander done to earn that trust I just believe in him as a talent evaluator more than I do Jerry depoto I think that he is a better front office play guy than Jerry Depot Pho now again I'm giving him a short leash he has got to win but I think he has a better eye for talent than Jerry depoto how's next year's draft looking pretty good pretty good not great but pretty good yeah and see the thing is a robin I I I get what you're saying the Palanka one is like I think that's as big of indictment as their Player Development system than it is anything depoto and Hollander did I think it's an absolute indictment on what they did with him development wise and I will almost guarantee you Jorge palano go signs with another team next year and puts up strong numbers I will also pretty much guarantee he'll miss 30 games with a hamstring injury but I think he among all of these I is the biggest example of this team doesn't know how to get the best out of players that's just my humble estimation and hectic I I respect you but I don't think he sounds anything like Jerry depoto he actually takes accountability for when he talks and yeah Robert Harry Fort hasn't been great um maybe you just want to give him a look though because get that test Mariners long-term plan really good system some really good players some unbelievable starting pitching but I have some real questions about that long-term plan I question someone's Phantom if their favorite player is JP there's a lot of them there's a lot of them St Stanton will still sit Stanton will sit boy boy that's tough Stanton will sit in the Diamond Club when we come home and see 15,000 fans maybe then I'll question Jerry didn't keep them in it until the end yeah totally possible and sander could get more than 120 I the question mark is going to be the defense um I would guess that the aav though is somewhere around that 24 to 26 can't have thoron pitch in high leverage totally agree if only we could have a GM for the Brewers away we did I'm sorry the Brewers of the West just not ran as well Brewers are the ceiling as our comp now yeah it's well said Andrew jock Peterson was one 19.5 we paid Garver 224 Jerry just can't eye the right Talent if they offer jock that I believe better but it doesn't fix the offense you're right do you think players don't want to play here because of depoto I do he has always has to make trades but blames it on money uh I can't comment on that maybe someday I will there are things I know and they are things that I have to keep to myself do you trade Castile gerby Hancock rebuild around woo Gilbert Miller Julio CS DH try again him four years with the Ford and Etc and the miners plus trades might need the Dome back unfortunately so basically you're asking do you rebuild and no no I think there's just too much talent there's too much talent and I just can't let ownership get away with the rebuild reload reload use that talent that you have in the our farm system to make this team better you have some building blocks make the team better oh Brady this is a good comment right here no matter what you think of Depot's performance he's the Roger Goodell of the Seattle Mariners as he long as he continues to be the perfect human
