Hawkeyes vs Cyclones post game

everything that went on today let's go into the first quarter Iowa's defense is playing great great right now they're doing a good job they to you know ISU punts Iowa punts Caleb Johnson gets a 27 yard TD it's just Iowa goes up seven nothing in the first quarter you're thinking right now Iowa has the game in control the defense is doing great I Higgins gets a defensive int and uh Iowa goes into the second quarter with the ball they're doing great they're doing they're doing Iowa's defense is doing Iowa defensive things the worst about this game is that uh there it's a truly a tale of two halves which really sucks because the second half was just not Iowa it wasn't Iowa's defense and then it hinders Iowa is this the Kirk ference effect I love Kirk ference I think Kirk ference is very good I think he's a great head coach what I don't like is that the second half adjustments that we saw last week even though it is against a FCS team was not the same it's like we ran the ball more than we should have and it's it was different it was different than the feel different feel than last week Iowa gets an N to to around the end of the second H H quarter gets the ball back they get the ball and they they scored a field goal they get Stevens gets a field goals Iowa was up 10 nothing I'm feel pretty good Iowa's defense is doing Iowa defensive things they're doing really good going into the second quarter they're playing Iowa defense is doing great really good in the second half in the second quarter ween Fair catches the ball they go three and out Iowa punts ISU punts after three and out Iowa punts after a three and out Iowa gets the ball back and uh again we get we we get a a field goal but we should have scored we're right there we can't trade field goals for touchdowns that's what Iowa in this game just [ __ ] terrible not good Iowa gets a roughing the kicker call and even though it didn't affect how Iowa was excuse me how Iowa was doing things they really it really did Iowa gets the ball back after three and out and Stevens kicks another field goal Iowa goes up 13 to nothing they're 13 to nothing in the second quarter I'm feeling pretty [ __ ] good even after the roughing the kicker and then ISU kicks the no good field goal if you look at last week compared to this week and I know we're talking about an FCS team compared to an F FBS team but I was didn't they didn't do themselves any help they didn't keep the pedal to the floor like they did last week last week they kept the pedal to the floor they looked really good they make adjustments week they didn't make any adjustments which is really baffling you ask you might ask yourself why didn't Iowa make any adjustments I don't know it's a good [ __ ] question today's going to be really short we are not giving out any drinks in the game that is if you don't win you don't get a [ __ ] drink I don't care how good you think you are no drinks to the [ __ ] game are you kidding me give me a [ __ ] break first half stats ISU is 0 for seven on third down you should be feeling [ __ ] great if you're an Iowa fan I was I was feeling great on defense Iowa Hawkeyes three and nine on offense that's not good we need to convert on F uh to on third down period and some of those some of those stats we were at what third and two third and four third and three run the [ __ ] ball and convert Iowa's offensive line needs to figure it out last week was a [ __ ] last week was a mirage basically we need to conver on third down Iowa offensive line needs to convert on third down Caleb Johnson's good enough give him a [ __ ] hold and we couldn't do that on offensive line fourth down nobody went for it on fourth down so you're 0 for o get this get this this is this is baffling total yards ISU 101 IA 196 that is on total for the half as fan you should be aesthetic 196 yards what the [ __ ] happened what happened first half looks great passing yards 67 to 80 as an iow fan you're taking that [ __ ] turnovers Iowa didn't turn over the [ __ ] ball ISU thre an interception well need I say near the Red Zone and Iowa didn't convert nothing but a [ __ ] field goal that's terrible you got to convert a [ __ ] touchdown there you think I'm mad you better [ __ ] believe it you know what if you're not mad as a as a fan you're [ __ ] insane if you're not mad as a coach as a player you should be [ __ ] eating yourself right now that is terrible you get in the Red Zone you [ __ ] score seven that's it rushing yards this is this is what baffles me ISU 34 Hawkeyes 116 you you had this game won this game is over over you didn't keep the pedal to the floor why why that's [ __ ] terrible penalties this hurts a little bit Iowa state had five for 22 little minuscule mistakes Iowa had two for 30 that's not good you can't you had two and you you still get beat by your [ __ ] right [ __ ] it time of possession still hurtful 1453 for ISU 1502 1502 for Iowa we're winning it but it's really [ __ ] even you know how I feel about that I think time of possession should be won by the offense every time Iowa should be leading time of possession and not by half but by [ __ ] yards like we're talking miles this is awful I felt pretty good going in the halftime though I will give you that we're up we're up 13 to nothing 13 to nothing with this defense we should be able to do [ __ ] anything we have the most senior defense in the [ __ ] country come out of the third quarter ISU goes three now I'm still feeling pretty [ __ ] good and then ISU gets int okay how many times have you heard this not in as me as the Homer but in any you've ever seen before you don't throw the ball [ __ ] backwards you don't go backwards you're going to get an interception you don't throw backwards k mcir does the dumbest [ __ ] [ __ ] I've ever seen and throws the ball backwards what do you think's gonna [ __ ] happen I don't care who you throw it to I and then know what happens Brody Beck throws a [ __ ] TD to Jaden Higgins okay okay I'm okay we're up seven to 13 we're okay we're okay Kayla Johnson gets a touchdown I'm feeling [ __ ] ecstatic we go for two we don't get it okay we're probably going to score again that's what I'm thinking IU comes back they throw a 75 yard TD that should never ever happen against this defense we should never ever get beat deep ever what happens wa breaks down in coverage how many times have we said wa breaks down in coverage you don't get beat deep you're a [ __ ] safety you never get beat deep ever way to go Iowa gets to go three and out we go to the fourth quarter like I said friends this is gonna be a short [ __ ] broadcast Iowa goes three in out again Iowa is very conservative this is not like the team we saw last week where we go for where we take chances what the [ __ ] is happening this is complete opposite of what we did last week we get a field goal I'm sorry we don't yeah we do get a field goal 17 to 19 Iowa Iowa goes three and out again ISU punts Iowa punts three and out I once again we take the penalty there's no drinks to the game this week this is not going to happen we're not doing this why in the [ __ ] would we give drinks to the game when you [ __ ] lose when you lose to a [ __ ] rival and you take your foot off the gas this was just a pickle this week I would triy at the end little [ __ ] too late I'm not even mad they went for two-point conversion they should have that's just the way you [ __ ] do things I would have gone for two all [ __ ] day ISU makes a field goal with a roughly 40 seconds left to go Iowa's defense winning to prevent defense that is on Phil [ __ ] Parker right now I don't care how good Phil Parker if he gets the BS a ward or whatever the [ __ ] he gets you don't go into [ __ ] prevent defense keep your foot on the [ __ ] floor it's been working all day why would you go on prevent defense that's terrible This falls on the coaching this is not a player thing the players did their job this falls on coaching final stats for the game we're gonna keep this short today third down conversions Iowa state two of 14 you should win the ball game if you're two a [ __ ] 14 Iowa six to 17 that's not bad it's not terrible it's not good but it's not terrible to Ys 361 to 303 Iowa had 303 yards [ __ ] offense they should not give up 316 I agree or 61 I'm sorry but 303 that that's good for Iowa offense rush yards this baffles the [ __ ] out of me 89 for I ISU 204 for I I wish it have at least th four TDS four [ __ ] TDS with 204 [ __ ] rushing yards they need to figure it out this offense is not different from last year with Kirk ference there they hindered it this is not what we saw last week it's not penalties 7even for 37 Iowa had three for 35 that's typical Iowa give him a high five for that I mean Iowa penalties were low turnovers killer ISU only had one ISU or Iowa had two two and it's because K mcir threw it backwards once the other one [ __ ] when you have 204 yards of rushing you should own time of possession Kade mcir came out he did okay but he did not show up in the second half he made more mistakes he cannot make those you can't throw the ball backwards that is not something that you can afford to do they tell you that from peeee football do not throw the ball backwards Kate mamir did did it got burned got burned excuse me so with that being said we're going to go into next week versus Troy we're gonna [ __ ] dominate Troy it's gonna happen excuse me but what we need to do is keep our ped our foot on the floor on offense we can't be what we were last year it just can't happen it can't happen we gotta if you want to get into the college playoff which is still possible losing to ISU is not going to help your chances you're really gonna have to beat the piss out of big 10 teams in Troy next week but we do something different we got to put it keep our fedal pedal to the floor on offense we can't go we win we're winning
