as we were coming here this evening we learned of the passing of the legendary J Jones I know I know I know you've probably shared a memory your team have I have I remember when I met him years ago and it's so funny Rachel I just pulled up a picture that I have with with he and I back in the day and I remember one time I'd gone to one of his plays and he said hello Gail it's good to see you I go you know my name it was one of those kind of moments and that deep booming voice he was a class act with a Capital C one of a kind in the best of [Music] I was so sorry to see that and but look at the Legacy he left behind my first movie of his was a Great White Hope back in the day that's how long I've been a James ear jones fan nobody like [Music] it looked the part for hosting this evening I'm really excited I was here last year Rachel and you know this is only the third year of the dinner it's all about ending gender violence against women and most people don't aren't even aware of it really you know you hear it on the news but you don't really drill down on it what Fran and Salma do is drill down on it and bring attention so you need evenings like this lights camera action to draw attention to something that's very important so I'm thrilled to be a part of it it's so kind of you to give your time so graciously because you're going to be up early you know I've been up since 3:2 girl I know you make your up tomorrow but some things are worth staying up late on the school night for all kidding aside and this is one of those night well you are a little you are a little energized cuz you're fresh off your Italian vacation it looked like you and OA had so much fun but when are you guys going to hit the road get in the car again and go go on another road Rachel I am game you have to talk to her she didn't enjoy it as much as I did mean I loved it it might have been your singing putting her over the edge I would actually be a third wheel that was it that was it you and I could have fun on a ra trip because we like to sing We Like Music Oprah likes to ride in the cart in silence and be with her thoughts I go well you can't be with your thoughts I'm here too you know how that goes Oprah likes to also dive into some big conversation she recently had one about weight loss drugs the next one she's diving into is about AI why is this an important topic for her to discuss I don't know I think that she's just looking at the world and looking where she can you know things that interest her she's she's more than happy to bring a bring attention to it you know it isn't really a Rhyme or Reason she looks at things if things concern her if things interest interest her then she wants to talk about it we got news today that Kate Middleton's going back to her royal duties so how are you working yes I was here to say you're probably probably already working hard to the interview I have had a shoot all day long I just went to hair and makeup and just came here I haven't even seen the news so I'm glad to hear that very glad to hear that will we're all pulling for her all pulling for her how will you be taken in the debate tomorrow night where who will you be watching I know that's I think I'll be working you'll be working will you be I think I'll be working if I'm not working I'm going to be sitting in front of my TV with some popcorn okay all kidding aside I think it's very important I think we should all watch and if you're on the fence hopefully this will help you make your decision I think many people have made their decision but this is still a very important part of the process so we'll see [Music]
