Carlos we talk almost daily now about Lindor but has it gotten to the point recently where it almost feels like whenever you guys need a big hit he's going to find a way to deliver it yeah I think uh every time he's at the plate we feel good about our chances um and that was the case today on a but it looked like it was going to be a tough night you know we had a hard time picking up uh cter crafers uh cter especially and then the four seam and you know he was strike out by after strike out and then you know dat a bat McNeil with a huge walk and then door uh coming through uh and then you know that inning the double so yes every time he's at the plate uh there's a good feeling he's locked in right now what did Peterson do so well to be able to miss bat that effectively Peterson yeah yeah uh I thought the four seam today was really good I thought that was the key uh he was getting a lot of swinging misses especially at the top of the zone and the secondary pitches were there too there was couple of our bats when you know he used the breaking bolt for strike one then he went slider then when change up then the for him like everything sequencing uh toim and Alvarez did a hell of a job uh but today the key for me was the four team at the top uh we were able to execute with the fast balls up at the top of the zone and um yeah we were getting swings and misses and so uh kept going back to it and uh using some of the other stuff to to be able to get back to it how much more I don't know if confidence is the word but are you just gaining as you or keep stacking up these good starts one after another yeah I I think um good performances do that for you you know they build confidence and um you know just trying to to look back at the starts and what did I do well what can I build off of and uh what needs to get better for the next one and so um you know I think we're just sticking to the process and taking it one start at a time one pitch at a time and um trying to simplify it as much as we can almost a feeling of inevitability when the Lindor is at the plate and you guys need a big hit how would you describe that feeling or sense of the duck out yeah you know I felt the same thing uh I felt like in that inning that he hit the Homer if we could get a guy on and get him up to the plate something special was going to happen and um he's been doing a lot uh he's had a great year and um I know he's going to continue to do do what he does and um yeah it's special he's uh he's been doing a lot of it lately and uh then I think you saw was kind of contagious at the end you know guys those those runs at the end were huge for us uh to kind of continue the lead and and put ourselves in a good spot for the ninth so um yeah he's he's been doing great and I think everybody in the lineup has to come working every day whether they're doing good or bad and um trying to contribute what does um reaching 30 home runs again mean to you um it feels good um I haven't really thought what he really means um all I know is today um we won the game and he helped to get the offense going so I was pleased with that happy with that and um yeah we got to continue to climb what does it mean just the fact that a lot of your hits it seems like especially lately whether it was both hits today come in spots where the team kind of really needed it yeah I love that I love that I I I want those moments and um in April if we would have talked about that I think I had those moments as well I just didn't come through and right now I'm coming through this is It's baseball it's um he's a wave uh I'm in a good wave right now just ride there as long as we can um thank the Lord for blessing me we heal and yeah just when whenever I come up in those situations it might look like I'm the guy doing it but the guys in front of me are the ones that are actually coming up big time you know Jeff had a greater bat in the ninth inning um I mean the eth and Alvarez Alvarez had a great at bat as well you know he took a ground ball the other way now I get to come up with second first and second um it's just a matter of me just following their their steps so it's a team effort and just so happens uh worked out that I'm the one getting a big hit what's it like for you um MVP chance second time around tonight even louder you mention April it it feels great it'll be a dream it'll be a dream but right now I'm just trying to play winning baseball and um we'll see where we are at the end of the year and hopefully we in the postseason and if it happens you'll be a dream it would be it would be something extremely special but right now I'm focus on winning baseballs uh baseball games and um at the end of the day um I appreciate the love the fans are giving me um and I just got to continue to put up a good show for them you know so so he keep on getting louder and louder
