this while I'm watching Kyle mcord out absolutely positively put out a a Heisman tape in these first two games I don't know if y'all caught this or not because we are overwhelmed by Michigan and Texas but KY McCord is now gone for 350 plus in back toback games and now he got a win against top 25 program in Syracuse they two and 0 kic cor win 32 of 46 4 TDs 381 against a a Georgia Tech team that was ranked won't be ranked after this week we was ranked by Me was ranked by the AP won't be ranked after this week and it wasn't because they weren't great it's because they couldn't do anything running the football you know it was a game in which K McCord was seeing it and spinning it seeing it and spinning it and given what they're what their schedule looks like the rest of their way they won't play anybody that we care about toward North Carol North Carolina state so if K McCord continues to put up the kind of numbers that he's put it up in the first two games yes you're going to be talking about Kyle McCord for Heisman you're you're going to have to do it because they will be undefeated they will be in a power five conference and he'll be slinging for all the yards at a time when we're AED by cam Ward going for 385 against the Florida team we all think is bad I'm watch Kyle McCord go for 381 against the Georgia Tech Team we know is good okay saying keep an eye on that I'm also seeing again the quarterback thing man if you hit on your quarterback early this year you have won football games Syracuse has hit on their quarterback early this year you saw that they are spinning it a guy that you're also going to learn if you don't know him already is uh excuse me what's om aran's last name it's not omaran it's orande orande Gatson escaping me for a second I almost want to call him omaran Hampton but I don't know man I'm I'm looking at this and I'm going omaran had six for 93 with two TDS in his game Amari see I did it anyway aande went for six for 93 with two TDS in this game and against Ohio he had seven for 108 in the TD that's our early in knoff award finalist uh resume right there so between those two guys K mcord is really good at two things a not throwing the football to the other team believe it or not and B he will find out who his number one is and feed him The Rock he did it with Marvin Harrison Jr last year he's doing it with aande Gadson the second this year and now Syracuse with Fran Brown off to a two and0 start and I don't know if y'all saw Fran Brown's uh introductory press conference in Syracuse but he out there like I'm out there you know what I'm saying he going no no no no no I got the job I want I'm doing the job I want you ain't got to worry about none of that and I'm trying to return the orange to the promised land he out here talking like he had Donovan mcad back there and you know what he actually might because K McCord was a festar coming out of St Joe's Prep and people forget this people forget that Kyle McCord came out of St Joe's Prep with Marvin Harrison Jr and people were talking better about Kyle McCord than they were Marvin Harrison Jr the Marvin Harrison Jr part came on last year because he was the offense on what is one of the most popular football teams in the entire country now I'm looking at a team that will go up and put 30 plus on you and again depending on what North Carolina state does against Tennesse later tonight we will we will be watching for that game I think syracus might end up being ranked tomorrow and North Carolina State might not if North Carolina State wins uh or loses its football game against Tennessee later tonight I'm also looking at this and again you hit on your quarterbacks keeping that theme going Kansas State hit on its quarterback now did they Usher will Howard out the door no I don't think they did I think if Will Howard wanted to stay he would have been more than able to stay but having Avery Johnson as your quarterback is not a bad way to go he didn't play great 15 of 23 for two TDS in this game and they were trailing to Lane for far too long they were down 20 to 10 to the Green Wave at one point before they found a way to come back and win that game 34 to 27 but a lot of that had to do with them being able to run the football like they had they had 396 yards yeah 396 yards offense in that game to two lanes 491 but it was the Run game that was the difference for Kansas State 25 rush yards getting great play out of DJ gens getting great play out of Dylan Edwards and you know you got 40 yards out of your quarterback if you can do that and control the ball you're going to be all right I was I was fearful for Matt Wells there for a second because a he was dealing with a two-lane team that could keep up right so you can't sit on the ball B you're down double digits the thing to know about two lane though is that Darren Mah is a dude uh he is the first quarterback at two lane to throw for 218 yards against a AP ranked opponent in the first half ever he nobody in in the in the last 20 years has thrown for as many yards against an AP ranked opponent in the first half as Darren Mah did against Kansas State today out a two lane just kind of interesting um 19 of 29 for 342 two TDS and a pick all man look I I think Makai Hughes is uh one of the most underrated tailbacks in the sport he had 21 for 128 I mean and then we had Mario Williams showing out because Mario Williams who's at Oklahoma who's at USC is now whoa almost knocked off my drink uh is now at two lane he had 6 for 128 they're gonna be a good football team they're gonna be tough they're gonna be tough in the American this year John somro has got him a good squad because I expect Kansas State to be one of those four teams that competing for the Big 12 Championship here at the end and being perfect going into next week's Friday matchup against Arizona big deal very excited about that I expect Arizona to keep up their end and not put money in the bag in northern Arizona but they also have the the best wide receiver in the sport right now in ter TOA McMillan if you don't remember he had 300 receiving yards last last week against New Mexico and they put up 61 points against New Mexico it ain't been New Mexico's year so far they put money in the bag against Montana State they gave up 61 to Arizona it doesn't matter that Arizona's the top 25 team it matters that you gave up 61 to them I as I continue to go down this I'm looking at Penn State who finally looks like they hit on their quarterback you know they they oh man Bowling Green they flirted with it they they they flirted with it Penn State was out here trying to give the money to the bgs do you know that they paid Bowling Green $1.5 million to come to Beaver Stadium do you know how bad it would have been a Beaver Stadium if Penn State had lost that game and they were losing that game they were losing it till Drew Aller and Nick Singleton decided to do something about it the thing that is cool about what Penn State has done so far is their explosive plays have really bailed them out so far this year like in this game in particular I'm looking at some of the scoring plays and we are really talking about Nick Singleton rushing for 41 yards in a TD you know we we're we're talking about Drew Aller continuing to find guys like Trey Miller over the middle we are talking about a defense Tom Allen that was really getting the runaround by Connor basac his former quarterback at Indiana by the way and yet they found a way to win because Andy cot Nicki knows how to dial it up and tell Drew Allard to just go after them that's going to be fun if they can keep that up we're looking at Penn State perhaps playing in a big 10 championship game and just like that we have our final Oklahoma State Arkansas Oklahom State wins double overtime goodness me 12 yard rush it's 3731 yikes man I wanted this for arkans I wanted this for Arkansas in the worst way it's it's like they were flying too close to the Sun well I guess I guess Arkansas gets a possession here so it's not over yet but yes I do have my my eyes on that game and we will talk about it as soon as it ends back to Penn State I'm still thinking about if Drew Aller can become the kind of dude that can be relied upon to send it as it were 13 to 20 two TDS in a pick I don't know if that's relied upon and you have Kron you have Nick Singleton basically battling to be rb1 rb1 a or rb1 a rb1b they have a schedule that sets up to where all they got to do is get past Ohio State and even that might not be that might not be the impediment because I think you could be a one loss Big 10 team and make that championship game because there's going to be so much cannibalization in that 18 Team league the issue is going to become can Michigan turn this into a blip because if Michigan can bounce back and win every other game then we're looking at perhaps Penn State and Michigan into a tiebreaker situation I and I still don't know what we're going to do with Oregon I I really don't I don't know what we're going to do with Oregon
