Linkin Park Fans Target Chester Bennington's Son

$4,000 so that he and his buddies can come to the show and down Chester bennington's Legacy and the current conflict surrounding his son Jamie Bennington and the band's new lead singer Emily Armstrong is running out of hand hello I wasn't going to be back before the show but something serious is going on and I need to say it since Chester's passing Lincoln Park has been on hiatus but now for the first time in years they're gearing up to release new music and hit the road with a new singer Emily Armstrong from the band Dead Sara and while some fans are excited for the band's return others especially Jamie Bennington Chester's son are feeling betrayed Jamie Bennington recently took to Instagram to express his feelings about Emily Armstrong joining Lincoln Park he didn't hold back criticizing the band for what he called erasing his father's Legacy he also took issue with Armstrong's ties to Scientology and her previous support for Danny masteron who was convicted ofing two women and sentenced to 30 years to life in prison Jamie says there are a lot of people who do not like me there are a lot of people saying some really awful right now to me to be honest I don't think I feel safe going to the show under general admission because I don't know who I'm around I don't know who would recognize me or take it upon themselves to respond to me in an aggressive manner when I'm just there to see the show and I need to document it um for my safety so remember that guy I put on my story he said he's going to come find me at the Lincoln Park show and show me a little give me a little love on Mike's behalf and I said no you're not well somebody I know decided to stand up for me which I really appreciate as Lincoln Park gears up for their next album and tour appropriately titled from zero Jamie has made it clear that he plans to attend their upcoming show in Los Angeles on September 11th but even though he wants to be there for closure he's worried about his safety and this guy let loose some more information that could be true or could be false he claims that he has dropped $4,000 so that he and his buddies can come to the show and down and beat the living he's expressed that the aggression from fans has left him feeling vulnerable even going so far is to say that if anything happens to him or his partner it's on Lincoln par he says that he's doing this on behalf of Emily and friends so I'll be posting those receipts this raises an important question where should we draw the line between being passionate fans and becoming toxic someone especially the son of a band member who's no longer with us isn't just wrong it's harmful jimie has been through enough and it's heartbreaking that he feels unsafe just for for attending a concert in honor of his father's band in the middle of this storm Emily Armstrong herself has spoken up she took to Instagram on September 6th to clear the air regarding her past association with Danny masteron Armstrong explained that she had been asked to support masteron at an early hearing because she considered him a friend at the time but she soon realized she had made a mistake it's clear that Armstrong wants to distance herself from the controversy and while some fans may be ready to move on others like Jamie are struggling to reconcile these actions with their vision of what Lincoln Park represents
