hey guys toic gam Ed here and welcome to First lesson in the doctor section of the game Ed framework uh today we're going to be talking about SPX intraday volume analysis keep in mind want to note this is only for SPX uh analysis uh we really do not apply this methodology to you know individual equities or ETFs uh with that said our intraday volume analysis consists of three commands which we specifically review in this lesson first uh command is volume with Vol what we're doing is we're looking at volume aggregated by expiration date uh so there is no like deep dive into Z TT we say that for a different command uh thing to keep in mind is all of these commands have interactive charts so what you'll see here is when you run the command click on this blue hyper link this goes for any chart in the Discord what it does is it takes you to an interactive chart in the internet like this where you can select what expirations you specifically want to hone in hone in on the thing about this chart is again well we're going to go through all the the ways to use the chart but you know we can see where where goalpost are forming throughout the session keep in mind this is not necessarily predictive but it can uh inform of potential areas that we can go and then price will uh either conf confirm that or deny that um what we did is we we developed Valu first and then from there we we took it to Val D vald is now honing in specifically on the Zero DT contract we know that is where a lot of the volume intraday happens so if we hear what we're doing here is each 15minute slides we're looking at the volume for that 15 minute slice specifically so we can see how volume is trading throughout the day and at what strikes it is trading so you know is it getting bigger or smaller strikes as we move throughout the session and then is that volume shifting you know more to the put side more to the call side um so that is the importance of this strike and then what we did is we created volm uh to to level up the volue because it it is kind of tough to be looking at this uh this here and kind of understanding okay where's the distrib tion or kind of the the middle the midpoint of the volume on each 15-minute strike slicing so that is what VA M does is we're taking the centroids which we talk about here it's just the center of the distribution for each 15- minute slice and we're plotting that on the chart and it just creates a really nice visualization so we can see the trends throughout the day and then how those Trends are uh really developing changing Etc throughout the day um so yeah that's that that's the volume chart and then again we're gonna you're going to read the the majority of this lesson is on volume right that that's the most important thing that that we use for zero DT trading um other thing to know volume Confluence with the market model specifically the the filter tick is something very critical that we hit on in this lesson we go through the various types of volumes you know chop D vers Trend day and then you know there there's different structures of what the call input centroids are doing so this may sound a little foreign but I promise you by the end of the lesson all this should be cleared up so with that um you know as you get through the the end of the session uh we talk about how this this lesson was built from a Open Mic hourong conversation talk about how you can access that how you can access prior recordings too if you want to learn more and then obviously you know you all can email us schedule Zoom whatever and we can discuss more so with that uh Happy learning talk to you later bye
