is it too early to talk 2026 recruiting now what about if I told you it was a five-star quarterback so let's talk Brady Smigel a five-star quarterback in the 2026 recruiting class at least According to some services like Rivals but even on the 247 rankings he still ranked as a top five quarterback in the entire country so definitely a high level recruit for Porter State and I think one of the main guys they have their sight set on now Brady comes in at 6'5 about 200 lb so an elite frame for a quarterback he comes out of Newberry Park Califoria californ just received the Crystal Ball from Steve Wilfong to go across the country and play for Mike Noll in the nlls now he holds offers from every top program in the country but like we've heard time and time again Florida state was one of the first schools to offer him back in early 2023 but he's been visiting Florida State as far back as 2021 so even though it's early they've been building this relationship for years now and it seems like it's paid off now just reading some of the Scouting Report done on him he's a big bodied guy with a strong and accurate arm he's tough and will stand in the pocket Under Pressure to deliver throw but can also move well enough to buy time and Escape pressure he's a great locker room guy and a great natural leader now I don't know about you guys but this may be the first scattering report I've seen where they go out of their way to include that a kid is a great leader and a great teammate in the locker room which only goes to show even more reason why the staff likes this kid and why he'll be a perfect fit at Florida State now granted FSU track record with quarterbacks out of California hasn't been great recent memory Malik Henry who could have had an all-time career but just couldn't figure it out AJ Duffy who was a top recruit out of San Diego but couldn't crack the 2D and transferred out after a couple years and I know it's become a sort of running joke about California QBs in general but you just got to keep punching that ticket and hope the staff can take this kind of size and talent develop it into what could very well be the next Elite quarterback to come out of Tallahassee now some of you may be wondering how this will work or if it'll even matter since we just brought in another five-star quarterback in luk cromw for 2024 so dju is a starter in 2024 but he's gone after this season that gives Luke the time to learn under one of the most experienced quarterbacks in the country then hopefully he can take a step forward and this could very well be his team in 2025 if he can surpass Brock Glenn so what you want out of Luke is two maybe three good years and in theory he should be going pro at that point which is a good thing for Florida State this will give Brady time to have a season or two under his belt and possibly battle for a starting job he'll also have to beat out current 2025 quarterback commit TRL Jones assuming he sticks in the class and signs a Ford State as well obviously we're talking about a 2026 kid so still long ways to go there and of course this is all just casual speculation but to start building consistent Championship caliber rosters this is how you're supposed to recruit you're supposed to stack top recruits top quarterbacks have a little bit of worry about having enough room and especially in today's world roster management is more important than ever so it'll definitely be interesting to see how it all plays out again I know we're looking pretty far ahead here but when you get a prediction in for a Five Star Quarterback you got to jump on here and try to have a conversation about it we'll be following this recruitment as well as all of fla State's other high-profile recruitments so you definitely want to subscribe to the channel and if 2026 is too early for you to care about right now I understand that so we have some more 2025 recruiting stuff q that for you right here be sure to check it all out catch you guys on the next one go no
