by the look of things and per reports it sounds as if the Pittsburgh Steelers are sending bradick Jones to the bench benching him in favor to make room for the new starter in Troy fanu at right tackle so the funny thing is with this story Dan Moore Jr he was held out of practice on Wednesday and many people many fans start getting excited because then it brought up the expectation that hey Troy fatano he'll be at right tackle if Dan Moore Jr cannot play meaning that brck Jones will be moved to a left tackle and now everyone is playing a position that they're comfortable with but the funny thing is now that Dan Moore Jr has returned back to practice and he is healthy brck Jones is now not the right tackle and the first team reps are going to Troy fanu that's why it looks as though BR Jones will be benched this week against the de Broncos in favor of Troy fanu and Dan Mo Jr is back at his main spot at left Hackle as he's back from his injury but before I get more into this make sure you subscribe to the channel and turn notifications for everything Pittsburgh Steelers news and updates also like this video now let's get right back into it so when Dan Moore Jr returned to practice on Thursday TR fonu the rookie he remained at right tackle and Brock Jones was working behind both of them meaning that if the this trend continues we could see Dan Moore Jr and Trey fanu start the game and that means that BR Jones is now the odd man out so this is a developing story obviously this isn't out of left field because of the all the preseason talk about hey Brock Jones is injured he has an elbow injury he's not 100% healthy he did not look good in preseason and a lot of the media were talking about it saying how BR Jones looked terrible in preseason so this is not out of left field in terms of bro Jo Jones potentially being benched but coming this quickly is a surprise to me because when you look at this BR Jones is supposed to be that future franchise tackle they traded up in the draft last year the Steelers trade up to the 14th spot in last year's draft to draft bronck Jones to be a tackle and when Omar Khan was talking about BR Jones this off season he said that he expects him to play left tack Le his main spot for this upcoming season but it has not happened and this was before the draft even happened so the fact that Pittsburgh Steelers went out and drafted a right tackle in the first round you can see how omaran expected hey this right tackle will be our starter eventually and then bro Jones could go back to his main spot at left tackle he probably would have never thought hey bro Jones in which I thought was going to be our franchise left tackle that we trade up for in my very first draft is going to be benched and now d junor is still going to be left tackle and then the right tackle we just drafted is an overtake the person who we thought was going to be our franchise guy that's probably not what was expected but that is what's happening here that's per reports of what's going on in practice in terms of first team second team reps and there's reporters Steelers media saying they expect BR Jones to be benched this week in favor of Troy fanu so you look at this and hey is bro Jones injured is this what's going on is it because of his play on the field is because of injury or mix of both cuz it is if it is due to injury sure that makes sense he's dealing with maybe an elbow injury that's still not healed not 100% you want him to get up to speed get back his health and then when he's healthy he'll be the starter but if this is him just being benched because of his play on the field how will he ever get better and become the franchise guy last season he looked amazing when he was playing in terms of being kind of rejuvenating the Steelers offense line when he was put in there in favor of chuk soror so the fact that he's being benched now if it is because of anything else it really just does not make sense he had a good season let him build upon it yes there's going to be bumps along the way but there was bumps along the way with Dan Moore Jr there has been bumps along the way still with Dan Moore Jr so you're not letting Brock Jones kind of play through those bumps is what I'm getting from this and the thing with this story as well is you don't usually see first round Talent being benched especially in their second season and not even a full first season as well it's not like he played the entire First full season as a starter so you really don't see the first round Talent someone you trade up for in the first round get benched like this but that's what's happening here and that's why it's a little bit surprising but like I said not too surprising based off how the media are just talking with Brock Jones in general they saying the Bas he's not capable of playing for some reason even though we seen that he's capable of playing even though he's not even at his main spot at right tackle he still played excellent last season at right tackle so he's still trying to learn a completely new position it's going to take time he's not used to dropping back on your right instead of dropping back on your left so he is still getting used to it but it looks like now he's not going to be able to get used to it because he's being benched also it's a little bit interesting as well because Troy fatano he's coming back from a knee injury an MCL injury that he's just now getting healthy from so is he going to be % as well or is he still dealing with that MCL injury as well and it's interesting as well because if he was not dealing with the MCL injury and he was healthy to start the season would the Pittsburgh Steelers be starting him right away first game of the season above brck Jones so that was an interesting story as well is this now happening because he is healthy that he just came back so they're playing him as a starter and if he was healthy to start the season would he have been the starter well we'll never know that one but but it's something you to keep in the back of your mind what You' have started straight from the beginning of the season so you look at this and you look at the Pittsburgh Steelers they kind of rebuilt this entire offense line within two three seasons you look at it it all started when they got James Daniels James Daniels kind of was the main piece a few years ago I believe it was two years ago now this is his third season so he was the main piece and then you look at the other main piece that they got last season it was Isaac sealo so they kind of buffed up the those guard spots and then this offseason I mean last offseason they got BR Jones someone who's supposed to be the franchise guy at tackle position they obviously still have denmore Jr but let's talk about someone else let's talk about Troy fanu they just got Troy fanu so those are two tackle positions now brck Jones and Troy fanu franchise guys right and then you just got your Center as well in the second round you got tackle first round Center second round so you would expect those to guys to end up being the future of this team in the offensive line and that someone leaves because they want a bigger contract you expect to be Zack Frasier Isaac sealo James Daniels Troy fanu brck Jones those are the guys and those are the bigname guys obviously Dan Mo Jr has still stuck around injuries are happy now Spencer Anderson but that would have seemed like the ideal offensive line heading into the season if you were to ask a Pittsburgh Steeler fan of who they want to see starting on the offense line but that just has not been what has happened happened thus far and it looks like it may not happen for a minute even though it has not been an easy path for danmore Jr it's been ups and downs such a bumpy road it seems as though he gets the more benefit of the doubt than a lot of players on this Pittsburgh Steelers team because there's been times where he's just non-stop getting penalties non-stop holding calls bad holding calls bad fall starts bad stuff just bad play in general but then there's other times where he looks like a solid offensive line he looks like a solid offensive lineman and it just seems as though he gets the benefit of the doubt a lot more than other players especially now this early in Broad Jones maybe because now he's a veteran on this team but even then even years before he wasn't a veteran but I guess now because he is a veteran he's getting even more of a benefit of the doubt it just seems as though he's going to stick at left tackle and there's nothing we could do about it and even though he is playing solid right now don't make get don't get me wrong I just want to see the future of this team get started cuz if you're benching bro Jones now how will he ever get those reps at left tackle especially if you're playing him out of position at right tackle he's not had one basically one single rep at left tackle other than just say if he's in there for a play or two if injury happens and he just has to switch over but other than that he has not had reps at left tackle in this league and that was supposed to be his position and the Steelers drafted him as a right tackle moving him to right tackle he said he did not like it he's not comfortable at all with it that's basically what he said yes he's in a downplay now but that's what he said at the beginning of the time so you're playing out of position and it seems like the Pittsburgh Steelers always do that every single player they get they just try switching their position it never works and that ends up being the story because then they move on to different teams play their natural position and they do so much better like Kevin Dawson he's doing amazing his first few years especially that first rookie season filling in for David dcastro at his natural position Right Guard but then you want to switch him to left guard the year after he plays terribly gets injured plays terribly and he's not used to it he doesn't like that position he moves over to the Rams after getting traded goes back to his natural position he look looks like a star gets paid what $20 million per year and then also Kendrick green he could draft him as a guard moving to Center he plays terribly does not look good at Center he goes to the Texans and in his first season with the Texans goes back to the guard position and he looks better he still does not look like a superstar or anything like that don't get me wrong but he looks much better than he did at the center position so you just look at guys who move on and end up going back to their natural position in which they are actually playing in college and are meant for and not just moved along the offensive line because it's different and they look much better so maybe that's what's happening here with brck Jones you're moving him all over the offensive line moving him out of position he doesn't want to do it you could tell he doesn't want to do it based off what he said obviously now he's downplaying it but obviously you look at this and it's not working out and maybe just go play him at his natural position in which he was meant to be and that's why you drafted Troy fanu as well because then you can move him back to his natural position but you're still playing him at a position to start the season so it just really doesn't make sense well anyway Brock Jones is being benched apparently tratan will be the starter then junor will be the starter Spencer Anderson probably this week still because Isaac seal is injured James Daniels Zack Fraser those are probably the five offense linemen let me your thoughts down in the comments Below on bro Jones being benched and would you expect him to end up being the starter down the line or do you believe this is a season long thing and would you have benched him as well let me let me know your thoughts and also make
