we're here with quarterback Conor baslac at the med American Conference football kickoff at the Pro Football Hall of Fame and I'll ask you like I did the other guys what did you enjoy about getting a special look at the hall with your group yesterday yeah uh it's awesome to be here uh all the history all the the cool jerseys artifacts uh that they have here it's really cool to to see and obviously see the Lombardi trophy so Super Bowl rings it's really cool I know you guys have your heart set on making some BGSU history as in bringing home that MAC Championship but also for you this offseason was about healing and and getting back to full strength take us through what you've been doing in that regard since the season ended what you've had to do yeah uh it's been it's been hard uh recovering from surgery is never easy and uh I've had two now two surgeries on the same knee so um it's been it's been hard but you know I've embraced it uh and I and gotten back to feeling pretty good and I'm I'm ready to go for the season so uh I feel healthy and I'm excited how much did that hamper your ability to work with the the wide receivers and stuff in the off season spring football you weren't able to participate but coach talked about June there's a little more latitude there now so you have got a chance to work with them yeah June was huge uh we we had a an OTA sess uh session of about two two and a half weeks and uh you know I got to to work with those new receivers uh almost every single day throwing to them uh getting our timing down and and doing seven on seven stuff so it it was awesome and uh I'm excited to uh continue that next next week how much easier is your preparation coming into this camp this year as opposed to last year when you were the new guy maybe still learning things with the the program and with the Playbook and all that a lot easier this time around yeah I think it is it's it's definitely a lot easier I I I know the Playbook uh fairly well and um I think when when you know when you know the Playbook you don't have to think out on the field and and when you don't have to think you can play freely and uh and I I feel like I play the best when I'm when I'm out there playing playing freely not thinking and and just letting my skill and and and talent and preparation and uh take over speaking of the play book Playbook now you're going to have coach in your ear this year that's new to college football what do you think I think it'll be great um you know the past 5 years I've had to I've had to look over to the sideline for a signal for every single play and now uh it'll it it'll just be called in my ear and I can keep my eyes on the defense see what they're doing uh changing Personnel changing defense pick pick up on tendencies that that they do and uh I think it'll be great quarterback Conor baslac hopefully ready to lead BG to a MAC Championship this year Connor thanks for joining us thank you yeah
