smash has saved three break points in this game oh what a run down from P sa cuz that was a great drop shot from Wong this was really well executed Sam yeah very good that didn't went around the net that forehand that's a ball she wants back especially when you see your opponent on the other side of the Court but she she went the right way anywhere on that half would have been good [Applause] yeah that's well executed Putin sa a fired up she should be she's got a double break lead here in the first set well Sam we know that anything can happen here but that was a big game for Putin SAA to get the double break lead and really establish herself as the front front runner in this match oh absolutely after having multiple break point opportunities wasn't able to take them and take it like woman Julia putina who is in the driver's seat finds the line there Wong 11 winners today from the 22-year-old from China but she also has 10 unforced errors oh there's a flatness to the Wong Strokes too right that back hand she really can open the face of the racket I don't know if it's the Adidas kit but I'm getting Evanovich vibes from wenu I think she'd take those vibes it's pretty good vibes to bring those margins in just slightly give herself a little more space and if be just be willing to hit another ball another good ball if required and actually on this juice side Putin of serve is going wide a lot if she can find maybe some forehands down the line so she can mix that up and then potentially have a backand on that next shot you see again another wide serve now second sered she can take some of these down the line I think she can open up some space 15 13 didn't take your advice there that's a ball that she wants to make regardless of where it's going though second serve that was just 75 miles an hour right in the strike zone 15 14 well that one finds the line on the return and here's a couple break points she's 0 of five today that one found the line too first break of the hard part for the opponent is she can go both ways she can go crosscourt with some pretty good angle she clearly really likes the one down the line as well so kind of got to be hedging kind of in to steal back the momentum oh that's just excellent execution Putin SAA initiated the drop ball and then chases down the counter drop shot nice touch there yeah wasn't a bad response unfortunately
