[Music] hi everybody thank you all for joining me today on press day thanks for joining us uh congrats on season two from what I've seen so far I think the fans are gonna fall in love with season two great Lely yeah so let's start with this uh this question is for for all three of you in season two we see the stakes Rising significant for Middle Earth how would you say each of these characters respond to the growing darkness and what could fans expect this season I I I feel like I feel like the the growing Darkness takes the Stranger by surprise I don't know what you two think but that the heading into R run feels like it's going to be an adventure feels like it's going to be fun that that actually this is we've done the hard part like we banished those Mystics The Stranger knows what the power's all about and grad gradually gradually gradually he realizes that he's totally wrong the thing whole thing starts to crowd in they don't have any food they don't have any water the heat is epic they get lost they Megan poppy thankfully comes to to the rescue on that front but then as a team the same things happen and so for me it's really about you know this this Darkness sort of swallowing them up almost before they realize it's happened and that means that I think they're always playing catch up certainly The Stranger is always on the back foot always trying to understand and that's pretty much takes him through the season how about you marel I would say also I'm so delirious I'm so sorry I would um I would agree I would say for nory's Journey this season it's definitely about her helping the stranger and and and so as a result obviously she's in unprecedented territory she's never been as exposed as she is uh this season so there is a lot of danger and and darkness but there's also some hope for her because Poppy comes along and she also meets new beings that Grant her this really incredible clarity as to what she's meant to be doing out there how about you Megan with poppy I think this season there's a lot of growth that happens for her personally um and there's a lot of growth already throughout the whole of season one that you've already seen but that kind of continues which is quite nice and develops even further through sort of avenues that she didn't even know necessarily existed um and one of those is mat breeding um and Trail finding and having to really look after her two closest people and the only people that she's got um and you know as Daniel said they're in herun and they can feel an element of the darkness but they can't put a finger on it and they don't know where it's coming from I think they they can sense that there's a sort of game of of Chess that's being played but they don't even know what pieces they are um and they don't know what directions it's moving in and they don't know when it's going to end I think the the landscapes in tenar that we filmed in were so vast and just looking out it that made me feel so small um and for the characters in that environment being so exposed poppy is the one who has to actually map breed and Lead every she's the only she's the one who kind of has the the kind of knowledge and kind of hoping and guessing that they're going in the right direction yeah um but ultimately it's still very scary and they don't actually know so there's a whole world of unknowns for all of them amazing last question for all three of you in one sentence what are you excited for most for the fans to see about your character in season to I think the bit when he flies when the stranger flies through the air and no no um J uh what am I excited I I think I think some of the interactions with Tom Bombadil would be pretty um exciting because they're going to throw the stranger into a place that we haven't seen him so far where he's going to be so reactionary to uh to an unpredictable being Mar I'm going to say her interactions with the stores I think it's very exciting and um unexpected for her yeah I excited for all of the new characters that we've got and that we had the pleasure of working with those incredible actors I think that it's so much fun and it was so exciting to work with them so yeah it's gonna be great amazing I want to thank all three you forgive me for missing I'm prey good luck with season two and hopefully we keep the story going thank you so much thank you have a great day
