Intro hello everyone my name is Leo and with this video we will share the guitar gear news of the last month let's Fender Mustang Micro PLUS [Music] start Fender has released the Mustang micro plus which is the successor to the Mustang micro it is an amp modeler and effect unit in a very tiny format that can be inserted into our guitar directly via its own Jack and can then be connected to a computer via USB or we can listen to it directly with our headphones it is a pretty significant Evolution compared to its predecessor in fact it now offers 25 amps versus 12 and it has 100 presets which were missing in the previous version we also now have a new tone app that enables the customization of patches in a similar way to editing on a multi effects floor unit further more it includes an OLED display for showing the current amp model effect and settings whereas the original had only lead indicators and this is a pretty welcome update we now also have an integrated tuner which the original lacked finally I would add that both units support Bluetooth audio streaming but the plus uses the newer Bluetooth bluo 5.1 for improved reliability and lower latency the price is now €30 up from 99 for the previous unit so the price has increased quite a lot as it is more than a 30% increase but I think that the new unit offers a lot more compared to the previous one its main competitors are the nuix MTI plug pro which is priced at 99 and which I own and love and the boss katano priced at around €40 for sure a comparison between all these three would certainly be pretty Bluetooth 6 interesting Bluetooth 6.0 has been announced and it introduces several significant announcements over its predecessor here are the main announcement that in my opinion are important for us musicians and for audio applications more in general Bluetooth Channel sounding this feature allows for CM level accuracy in distance measurement between devices which is crucial for applications like audio streaming and device tracking for instance it enhances the ability to determine the proximity of devices improving user experience in scenarios such as locating audio sources or ensuring the correct pairing or of devices or for tweaking the audio according to the room where it is placed ISO enhancement the EOC Chronos adaptation layer has been upgraded to reduce latency and improve reliability in audio data transmission this is particularly beneficial for realtime audio applications such as streaming music or using wireless headphones as it minimizes delays and the pocket loss ensur a smoother listening or playing experience enhanced data trut the frame space update feature allows for negotiable spacing between data packets which can enhance throughput for audio applications this means that more data can be transmitted efficiently improving the quality and reliability of audio streams decision based advertising filtering this feature of optimizes the scanning process for Bluetooth devices making ping faster and more efficient for audio applications this means quicker connection and less time waiting for devices to recognize each other which is essential for seamless audio playback so as I say this is a pretty significant upgrade especially in terms of latency reduction as it could enhance our listening and playing experience and now it is up to the Gear Builder to adopt this new standard ston has Strymon plugins released the A capistan and dig plugins which you can also purchase in a bundle for around 100 bucks I would like to talk about these plugins as I always struggle to find good guitar oriented plugins effects and who better than someone like ston who produces amazing Hardware pedals for guitar can provide us with good plugins actually I think every pedal should have its own software plug-in counterpart especi especially digital pedals which of course already have software algorithms implemented in the pedal that can be inedited by the plugin the El capistan tape Echo is a vintage tape Echo emulation pedal with a built-in spring reverb with a new plug-in version all its features are carried over with some useful additions there are still three different tape simulation modes including single mode fix mode and multi mode however with each tape machine emulation there are also specific controls to change the tape speed head distance and head configurations other new controls include tape crinkle lowend contour and tape bias which are all pretty nice additions on the other hand with dig we have three delay modes ADM for early 80s 12bit mode mid 80s and 24 96 modern we can also set the configuration to serious pingpong or parallel to suit to suit your application furthermore there is full control for modulation and the interface allows us to select the various subdivisions in syn with our D pretty nice and cool angle has released ENGL Steve Morse the Steve mors 20 wat head first a bit of context Steve mors the legendary guitarist known for his amazing solo albums and for his work with deep purple Dixie Drax and Kansas has been an angle artist for years the original 100 wat Steve Mo signature amp is renewed for its versatility and ey gain performances now angle has taken that DNA and packed into a more compact home and Studio friendly format the angle Steve Morse 20 wat is a Marvel of Modern amp design packing the essence of Steve mors signature tone into a compat versatile package this German engineered amplifier is a testament to angle commitment to Quality and Innovation offering a range of features which all enhance our playing experience in my opinion I'm a bit of a fan of this amp at its core the amp is driven by a 20 wat power section utilizing two el84 tubes then it has a built-in power power attenuation allowing players to switch between 205 and 1 watt and via USB we can load our own IRS these features make the amp equally good at home in a small jig venue in a recording studio or for bedroom practice the preamp section powered by 4 12 ax7 tubes fits two distinct channels a clean Channel and a I gain lead channel the clean offers crystalline Clarity with enough edro for spunky articulate tones where the lead offers obviously more gain and can deliver classic rock crunch to mod metal saturation tones tone shaping on this amp is pretty comprehensive each Channel features its own gain control complemented by a shared Three band EQ with base middle travel the lead Channel also has a dedicated volume control where a master volume knob go turns the overall outut hangle has also included several features that elevate this amp above typical 20 wat offerings a buil-in boost function lets us push our solos the mid boost switch helps our tone cut through dance mixes and for ey gain enthusiasts there is also a Noise Gate it also includes an effect Loop and delay and Reverb effects offering a pretty complex package for jigging and practicing however the controls for the delay and deriver are on the back of the unit which is a bummer and it is not very convenient in my opinion in essence the angle Steve mors 20 wat is a professional grade tool in a portable package it that captures the versatility and iate tones that Steve moris is known for while offering the flexibility modern players demand the price is around ,400 and $1,600 so it is not cheap of course the A mysterious new device last news now I have here a new product which I am pretty excited about it will be released soon so stay tuned subscribe and ring the bell not to miss my demo review bye-bye
