hi I'm Mari Buckingham I am from Glen View Illinois and I look forward to studying Sports and recck management and business here at Iowa um two key values I have is family and loyalty my family means so much to me and being surrounded by them shows me who I want to be as a person my parents have been my biggest role models and I want to carry the traits they have with myself because I look at them and I see them as really great people and they are my biggest support system and knowing that they're always there for me means the world to me um loyalty is another value that is huge to me I think knowing that people are there for you and that you can be there for them is such a big role in friendships and relationships um so I really value loyalty um I play tennis my whole life since I was around four years old and the sport has taught me how to push through challenges it's taught me about commitment and it's taught me about leadership I think Sports they can be really hard but knowing that you can jump over that hurdle or like come over a challenge is a really good feeling and it's a really good mindset to have it has taught me about leadership um my Junior and Senior year at high school I was Captain for the girls uh tennis team and being Captain not only shows you how to like be a good teammate but it just shows you that there's people looking after you and you just want to lead by example and then the next one is commitment I think commitment and dedication go together you want to show up for yourself but also you're showing up for other people and I think both of those are just huge um but yeah thank you for listening
