a number of receivers now have said you are the funniest player in the wide receiver room and uh they've said you're kind of uh kind of quiet but funny what's uh is that just something you try and bring to keep the room light a little bit uh I kind of just try to bring the juice in early morning kind of just get the vibe sort to get everybody going and flowing in the morning it kind of just be like slight like I just look at you start laughing or just say something Goofy and everybody just start laughing so yeah that is true I probably say I am the funniest person in the room uh it seems as we've gone throughout Camp you you're pretty close to if not have already established yourself as probably being the kick returner how much do you think that just kind of helps you kind of prove what you're able to do not only as a returner but as a receiver uh I would just say it adds more value to me so uh just any just adding any and everything to my back to help this team win so that's the biggest thing for me got any like go-to jokes you give to get the guys going uh I really don't have like any go-to jokes I kind of just say like whatever comes to my mind and then it just like apparently it just be funny to them so it just like it just being strange little moments I would just say something goofy so yeah when you were looking to uh you know move on from Jo how did wcu kind of come along in the process and kind of what was it about this place that you know sold you on coming here uh they came into the process uh pretty early I think it was about around November probably like the last game of a regular season for us and um I just got a call from like a a random number and it just happened to be coach Rob and they had offered me and I've been knowing also uh Joel we call him Chapo here for a decent a very long time he's somewhere I'm from Richmond California and he also attended Danza high school so I kind of knew the background of wazu and then uh Warren Smith was also here as well so he gave me the rundown and uh I took a visit up here and I like everything they had going on and I decided to come here and then I was curious about your relationship with Kyle Williams who uh you know has been here for for you know a couple years now um are you guys close to all or what kinds of things have you kind of picked up from him uh Kyle Williams is a great guy he welcomed me since day won uh put me on a lot of game and just showing me the ropes and just uh carrying me under his wing as I got in here and learned a new offense and you know things of that nature um as far as uh coach jert was saying that tomorrow he's looking for everyone to play Fast play almost take away the complication of it what do you what do you think he means by that I guess um what he wants to see from a scrimmage taking like just playing fast the adrenaline kind of just pushing it down and you know showing what you got uh just mostly being focused and playing Cal and knowing your assignment and your alignment that's really just all it is and executing at a high rate so and Coach Edwards is saying the competition in the receiver room is very high can you kind of explain what he means by that uh just mean we all we all mostly we have a lot of new transfers here and we're all trying to earn a spot nobody's spot is is uh secured yet so we all just working it's a competitive room but at the end of the day we're all brothers and we all put each other on game and help each other out so and as far as where you fit into that how have you seen your growth just I mean talking just about Camp maybe your growth in that room as well yeah I feel like I've grown a lot well just coming here in the spring that kind of really that was like my learning phase and now that I'm here for fall Camp I kind of got the offense down pack and I'm able to play without thinking out just playing fast and making plays oh after the scrimmage last week when he made the return touchdown coach dickard said he was happy for the touchdown because you're so fast but would have love to see you take some obviously glad that you didn't but what what's your approach to kind of the physical side aspect of the return game and how prepared do you think you are for you know live action uh I feel like I'm very prepared uh obviously uh it was live but not really live to where they would take me down so uh just being prepared for that I also know people are going to try to hit me so just making precise cuts and getting vertical as fast as I can so yeah and then we're just you know the last there was an open practice Wednesday we got a open scrimmage in a couple days or tomorrow how excited are you you know in a couple weeks to play in front of a larger crowd uh I'm very excited you know this is a new opportunity in a bigger platform you know obviously me coming from juko so I can't wait to see the fans and see how loud and how how it feels great environment and then is there anything about anything surprised to you about fulman a few months in uh nothing really surprised me just a smaller town not really a lot to do but it also helps me to you know stay focused and uh ke on what I need to ke to be the best version of me
