From the Podium: Phil Mafah from ACC Football Kickoff

The Players Lounge how are you today I'm good how are you doing I'm doing well thank you so you had a standout Bowl performance and even set a school Bowl record with four rushing touchdowns how hungry does that make you for this season uh it definitely makes me look forward to the season not only just individually but as a team just seeing the way that we finished definitely gave us a lot of confidence for this year and going into the offseason and our preparation so I definitely feel like that game has helped our team Morel be boosted and allow the guys to know that we can win we can be successful to your right uh first row Phil Toby coron with tiger Vision um you and Shipley were more of a running back by committee last year now that you're the main guy what changes in your mindset heading into this season uh really nothing changes in my mindset but one thing I have been focusing on this season um this offseason is to my longevity just to be able to play as many games as I can can this year taking care of my body my nutrition you know doing what I need to do on the daily in order to be successful still there on your right side first row Jam t tour I wake up called dt.com Phil just that relationship that you have with Kade and and how that's evolved and how that's grown over time and what that looks like going into this season and having success on the offensive side uh my relationship with Kay has gotten great you know we just took a trip down to Sea Island spent a a great time together worshiping fellowshipping and you know he's my brother in Christ you know I love that dude he cares about this team so much and he's taken a great step this off season just to get the get closer to the guys and help to you know bring Unity within the offense and defense spe he stepped up as a vocal leader and just as you know a field General out there and you know I'm really proud of him and I can see the offense doing really well this year because of the guys that came back you know we got a lot of guys back and um got a new center um it's his fourth year so he knows what to do so I'm pretty confident in our offense Phil from the podium on a lighter note you're one for two in your career and passing completion for 19 yards do you like throwing the ball and do you practice passing uh off the field in your own time uh yeah I really do like throwing the ball but a lot of people really don't like to catch the ball for me since I'm left-handed but I mean you know whenever coach needs me to throw the ball I'm always willing because you know I think it's awesome Phil thank you you can switch spots with RJ
