was happening tonight that was so different for you than past outings uh gave up a lot of runs um no I think from the get-go um in the first inning we made some good pitches and they uh they scored two runs on three hits that weren't hit very hard and we went uh went and made made an adjustment and wasn't the right adjustment um fell behind a lot of counts had a lot of hitable pitches up in the zone and and they didn't miss tonight feel like you were having a lack of command with the cutter there just kind of leaving it over the center of the plate um you know I think it was just more we fell behind and then we had to come um come on on the plate more than we would want to um usually we can get ahead with some breaking balls and stuff tonight and we wer weren't able to do that so getting the counts where we got to bring the cutter on the plate and um they just didn't didn't miss so um I wouldn't say it was one one thing over the other it was just kind of all in you know just in general wasn't great command really anything and um when you fall behind that many counts it's it's tough to to to to get a lot of outs watch this game after you left here you feel like you guys still might win this just with the way the guys were swinging it tonight yeah we battled offensively um you know seemed like every time they scored we try to fight back and and we did for the most part and um you know as a pitching staff we just didn't do a good job that hi is bringing poish up tomorrow to give every start an additional day of rest I mean you've had a long season you've made almost every start do you feel like you could benefit from an exal day of rest coming up um I think I think everyone could at this point the season um you know being in in the mid mid August with the amount of arms we've had go down um we've we've definitely had our depth tested um so at this point you're you're trying to make sure everyone stays healthy for for October and um you know I think giv giving everyone a breather this time through um I think is is only going to be beneficial I know you prefer this start go differently but does it say something about the season that you're having that really your first four maybe bad start of the season it's coming in in mid August uh yeah I'd rather not have any of them but um I guess we're going to have one it's better to do it um in a in a game in the middle of AUST first coming down the stretch or into the postseason but um yeah I'm just proud of the way I've been consistent all year up to this point so um you go back in figure out what we're doing wrong adjust and uh just get back to to what we do
