how does it feel right now just to be you know almost a week out from the first game uh it feels good um you know we're preparing well and you know the practice is leading up to the game are always most important um so you know we're on the final stretch of Camp right now and uh you know I think it's been going real well the feelings real good what you are supposed to do what your your ree is out here kind a little bit linebacker a little bit up front is that is that perfect for you have you thought about that any I mean honestly I mean you know me by now you know anything for a team I'm going to do uh the position that I'm in I love it you know I'm on to Edge some and I'm playing linebacker a little bit as well so it's a it's a cool thing to to have happen and uh you know I just love the defense we're in right now so we've talked though about being selfish I mean I I get it you're a team guy but sometimes you also want to I want this to work for me oh yeah that's that's definitely coming to play especially senior year you want to get those thoughts but at the end of the day you know I'm just worried about getting another big 12 Championship banner up in here man uh we've been two out of my four years here soon to be four years here you know we lost both times so I really want to get that that's most important to me not not that that's the focus but can you can you kind of see how this will help you at the next level uh yeah for sure um you know I feel like being versatile should should be able to help I really don't know you know the ends and outs of all that stuff but uh you know I I do all the uh all the research and all that stuff and whatnot ask coach around and stuff they say that being able to be versatile and you know fitting in a different roles is definitely going to help you so what do you think about South Dakota State I think they're a good team real physical they're going to try and come and pound in on us and you know we had to be physical backing Coach G said we got to take the game to him so you know there's going to be no room for error especially early in the game and you know we're going to have to ring on the attack and I think we will they remind me a little Iowa State because they like to use multiple tight ends and they like the tight end to be a big part of what they're doing yeah they love the 12 Personnel um a lot of 11 personnel as well but you know that's mainly you know third and Longs and all that obvious you know you need to pass the ball but for the most part they're 12 Personnel team they they want to pound the ball with so's good too yeah he's a runner um you know he can scramble and throw he can also just SC to run so he's he's real good too yeah normally a team that FCS that's at South Dakota state but they won 29 games in a row and national champions that level that kind of gets your attention yeah they're no fluke they're no fluke you know we're not taking them lightly you know these practices have been real heavy um you know we've been preparing like you know they're shoot they're Champions you know what I mean they won a championship last year in the uh division two level so you know they're going to be a real good opponent for us and you know we can't take them light
