THROUGH THE NEXT WEEK AND COMING WEEK >> WE WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU'RE USING SOME CAUTION WE'RE TALKING ABOUT WAYS TO TAKE BREAKS FROM THE HEAT AND HUMIDITY WE'RE GOING TO BE FEELING AND THAT GOES FOR YOUR PETS AS WELL SO MAKE SURE THAT YOU'RE KEEPING A VERY CLOSE EYE ON THEM THIS WEEK THIS MORNING THINGS NOT TOO BAD WE'RE IN THE UPPER 60'S HERE IN LAWRENCE 68 OUT OF THE CULTURAL CAMPUS SATELLITE AND RADAR MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES WE HAVE A FEW CLOUDS AROUND MOSTLY CLEAR OVER INDIANAPOLIS WERE AT 72 DEGREES IN THE CITY 72 IN MUNCIE AND WE'RE AT 67 IN SHELBYVILLE SO MID AND UPPER 60'S LOWER 70'S TO START YOU OFF IT'S A WARM MILD START TO OUR MONDAY BUT IT IS A LITTLE ON THE HUMID SIDE AS THOSE DEW POINT TEMPERATURES >> HAVE COME INTO THE MID-SIXTIES NOTICEABLE HUMIDITY BUT IT GETS HIGHER FROM HERE AS WE LOOK OFF TO THE WEST THAT'S WHERE WE FIND THOSE DEW POINT TEMPERATURES UPPER 60'S TO MID 70'S THAT'S THAT TROPICAL AIR TYPE OF HUMIDITY THAT IS GOING TO BE HEADING OUR WAY AS WE HEAD INTO THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS SO WHILE IT'S MUGGY OUT THERE NOW THAT'S REALLY SET TO SURGE AS WE HEAD TUESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY AS WELL WE HAVE BEEN PLACED UNDER AN EXCESSIVE HEAT WATCH FOR TUESDAY THIS GOES INTO EFFECT AT 11:00AM IT LASTS THROUGH 8 O'CLOCK INTO THE EVENING AND THESE ARE THE HEAT INDEX VALUES THAT WE COULD SEE FOR TOMORROW WELL ABOVE 100 DEGREES AND SOME LOCATIONS FOR TODAY NOT QUITE AS HOT OR HUMID BUT AIR TEMPERATURES BY NOON STILL GETTING INTO THE MID AND UPPER 80'S BY THE LATE AFTERNOON WE'RE GETTING IN TO THE LOW 90'S BUT THAT HUMIDITY STILL AT MODERATE LEVELS NOT PARTICULARLY HIGH COMPARED TO WHAT WE'RE GOING TO HAVE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS SO THE FEELS LIKE TEMPERATURES JUST A FEW DEGREES ABOVE WHAT WE ARE GOING TO SEE FOR THE ACTUAL AIR TEMPERATURE TODAY SO WE COULD GET INTO THOSE MID 90'S WITH THOSE FEELS LIKE TEMPERATURES ON INTO THE EVENING WARM AND HUMID MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES INTO 10 O'CLOCK 83 DEGREES BY 10 THAT'S STILL VERY WARM AND WE ONLY DROP DOWN INTO THE LOW AND MID 70'S AS WE HEAD INTO TOMORROW MORNING WE HAVE ACTIVE RAIN CHANCES COMING OUR WAY NOT TODAY WE SHOULD STAY DRY ACROSS CENTRAL INDIANA BUT WITH US BUILDING IN THIS HEAT AND HUMIDITY WE'RE GONNA HAVE SO MUCH MOISTURE AVAILABLE WE GET INTO THE HEAT OF THE DAY WE BUILD IN SOME OF THAT INSTABILITY WE COULD SEE A COUPLE OF POP-UP SHOWERS OR STORMS AS WE HEAD INTO THE NEXT SEVERAL AFTERNOONS OR TALKING MORE ISOLATED IN NATURE TUESDAY WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY BUT THEN AHEAD OF A COLD FRONT THAT'S GOING TO COME THROUGH ON FRIDAY WE COULD SEE SOME WIDELY SCATTERED SHOWERS AND STORMS AND THEN THAT'S GOING TO BE THE START OF ANOTHER PATTERN SHIFT THAT'S GOING TO TAKE TEMPERATURES BACK DOWN TILLIS CLOSER TO SEASONAL LEVELS FOR THE WEEKEND AND THEN WE'LL GET BACK INTO MORE SUNSHINE TO A HIGH OF 93 TODAY 95 TOMORROW BUT MUCH MORE HUMID AS WELL SO FEELING LIKE WE ARE WELL ABOVE 100 DEGREES 94 WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY AT 90 ON FRIDAY RECORDS THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS 97 ON TUESDAY 96 ON WEDNESDAY DON'T THINK WE'LL QUITE GET THERE BUT
