in the midst of another heat advisory folks in typico County are cranking up the AC in efforts to stay cool during these high temperatures it's crucial for these systems to run smoothly Brooklyn Robinson is the operations manager at Blue Fox Heating and Cooling and Plumbing in West Lafayette she says the company has seen an uptick in service calls we've definitely noticed an increase in um no cooling calls coming in I think a lot of people got this taken care of um during our first heat wve and it kind of came back this week Brooklyn tells us what service technicians are looking for on these calls first check for a dirty filter that's something that can definitely cause major issues in your system with keeping up with this heat right now um and it's a pretty simple fix while A system that is a few degrees off is normal Brooklyn says if you notice this it's time to call in the experts if it gets to more like 8° difference then definitely give us a call and we can come out and help you to keep your system running smoothly Brooklyn suggests clean filters and leaving the thermostat at a consistent temperature I would also suggest not changing the temperature of your thermostat a lot that can definitely make your system work harder to try to keep it at a consistent temperature and and leave it there Brooklyn also recommends getting your system checked regularly to avoid future issues that's something that can definitely um definitely help your system work better throughout the year and then you won't have to hopefully worry about a no cooling call come 90° weather you can keep up to date on all things weather at Star City tv.com margarit incardone Star City News typic new County me
