Talk about fun. Fridays. High school game night is back. Hey, everybody, Joe Trahan with you tonight. And it is that time of year again, Friday night lights back in business and we got it covered for you with week one of high school game night. There is so much to cover. We've got cameras out all across North Texas. It's Mike Friday. It's, uh Mike Leslie's Friday night football featuring an old school wa rivalry waxahatchee taking on Ennis and she Montagne has Jesuit and Hebrew. Meanwhile, I'm here at the home of FC Dallas, also the home of Frisco ISD football and this is a five, a showdown I just witnessed between Frisco Lone Star and Argyle. And let's show you these highlights from Toyota Stadium tonight because this was a strong ball game. Argyle was up early in this one but Lone Star storms back QB. Carice Hoyt finds Bryson Jones for the 53 yard score and that tied it at seven, second quarter. Now Eagles up three and they add to it, Maguire Gasperson to Will Kryszak and it's 17 7 Argyle, but Lone Star would not be denied on this night. The QB Carice Hoyt calls his own number this time from one yard out and that's your game winner. The Rangers come back to take it 2417. The final over Argyle. Elsewhere the second Mustangs were at the Coppell. Cowboys. Mustangs were keeping pace early. Dirk Williams junior deep for Khali Lockett. Now, let's head south for a battle of a couple of six. A heavyweights are Michelle Montagne on the sidelines for Jesuit and Hebrew Jesuit welcomed he back to Rangers Stadium exactly two years after they opened their 2022 season with a 38 to 7 win over the Hawks. They were hoping for a similar result here tonight, but this was a different Hawks squad they were up against. He leading seven Jesuits. Charlie Peters out to wide receiver JK. He hits Jack. Yes with the trick play on the Rangers very first offensive possession of the game. Yes, he takes this 187 yards to the house ties it up at seven apiece. Later in the quarter, Patrick Creighton junior finds Tyler hope for a three yard touchdown completion. He led 21 to 7 2nd quarter, second goal. Peters hand off to senior dual threat, Henry, he muscles his way in from six yards out. But right before the half, Clayton junior finds hope again. This time for 54 yards in the end zone, the two sides have continued alternate scores but the Hawks would ultimately pull away and get their revenge.
