[Music] [Applause] 135th game this year for the Dodgers it's only the 40th game where they've had Otani BS Freeman and munchie all in there together this lineup right now looks like a postseason lineup and it feels like here in Arizona that the postseason has started with the daughters only having a four game lead so here is Zach Allen one of the top pitchers in the National League the last few years he'd been struggling recently but his best start in months's last time two hits over six scoreless Innings at Fenway Park on Saturday through June the Ra was under three but since July and August it's kind of been hot and cold and if you look at August the last one was a hot start and a really good one but prior to that it's like every other one was good bad good bad well if that Rhythm keeps up you know taking swings but is a whole lot different being out in an open Stadium the crack of the bat in the cage is much louder than when you're out there in the cage on the field swings at a three drives a fly to left center field gel's back out of room and gone welcome back Freddy Freeman two run home run Dodgers jump on gallon like that he hit this one like he was in the cage outer been a marathon for him sometimes you don't realize how heavy the pressure is or how heavy the stress is until you do get that break and you go wow this is what it feels to be like normal two and two on Hernandez he is one of them t- work and a little bit of BP during Max's time when he was with him in the hospital and he came back hitting from that a few days off because of the finger and he came didn't worry about him in a long long time you know he's still the same posture the same look in the box the same knowledge of the strike zone he just wasn't getting his hits but at no time did all of a sudden you feel like he's not going to hit again pulls this one down the line it's a base hit Lux hustling out of the box heads for second he'll get there standing a two- out double for Gavin Lu went a week without a hit but is now three for his last five well the Dodger lineup now that could be the lineup you see in the playoffs goes left right left right left right and so far it's the left-handers that have gotten gallon this is the first change up by a lefty that they've hit the other two guys hit the fast ball it's another sign that it's a new Gavin Lux who came into that ad bat and Carol they' really come on Kevin Newman's at second base and Jose Herrera bats ninth and does the catch in the Audi player profile as Clayton Kershaw makes his 45th regular season start against the Diamondbacks H in strike one to pero 22 and 12 with a 273 against the diamond Becks all kinds of good memories in the regular season but the most recent memory against there is Iona is one of the worst of his big league career game one of the Division Series last year Kershaw gives up six runs and Records just one out faces him for the first time since that was stuck in his mind for the moment he left Dodger Stadium that night so he's he knows he's going to have to come back from a shoulder surgery if he's going to have to if he's going to come back and Pitch but he just kept saying to himself that can't be How It Ends I've got to find a way way to get back the full circle here making his seven start and his first one against that same team that gave him that rough night he went into that start needing surgery if you remember he was only pitching once a week about for four or five starts to try and get ready for the playoffs foro to left field that's going to get to the wall and both teams getting lead off extra base hits in the first inning the double for Pomo Clayton came out of that start against Arizona and went under the knife and you're right this is a Revenge start for him in some ways we always know that his emotions are at high even if he's a spring training start over there in Glendale or if he's in the big league game but this one is extra special so you said during the pregame show how do you channel that and I hope he channels it in a way to make the curveball sharp and the slider dive because the league has has been getting to his fast ball that is slider right there for a strike he's very particular about his slider the speed of it the depth of it he wants it to be relating to the fast ball exactly and the specs on it this year have been very good 88 with that slider right there couple of ticks up 89 with the for seam 86 85 is kind of where he really likes it he feels like it's a nice change of speed from the fast ball which is now around 91 and then it creates more depth without that velocity Kershaw zo two to gritch tried to go back door with the slider gritch took [Music] it Clayton has been dabbling with the outside corner to righties something that he didn't do very much of throughout his whole career oh it's a one-w fly it's the first curve that he throws not going to be an easy play roas hurries the throw it's just in time to get gritch hero to third one away carbon copies double and then a ground out the short that moves the runner over to Third and Dodgers with a great short stop there makes that play look routine but it was not at all
