CB Williams all the hype surrounding him the top pick in the draft you were the number two pick in the 1990 draft coming out of Syracuse what's the biggest key do you think for him to have success right out of the gates well the first thing that he has to do is he has to ingratiate himself into the The Playbook and we can talk about the athletic ability we can talk about the arm strength we can talk about all the plays that he makes outside of the pocket but if he doesn't understand what the play call is and reading the defense and understanding his key uh then he's not going to be successful and I think for Y young quarterbacks they get rushed into the situation too early now he's in a perfect situation with all the talent around him but yet still he has to understand what's expected of him in that office now the thing that I try to explain to a lot of these young young kids is being able to read the defense from a pre-step understanding and when you're reading a pre-step read that means you're understanding coverage you're understanding fronts and with those fronts and coverages you understand what the blitz may you may see and that's the preparation off
