lad makoni the rookie out of Georgia heading to the Los an or the Los Angeles Chargers thoughts on lad mcon so outside of Marvin Harrison Jr lad mcon is probably the best route runner in this class of of rookie wide receivers um when it's all said and done with his ability to play inside and outside his ability to block and willingness to block in the running game is going to find him near and dear to Harbaugh's heart uh very early and because of that there's going to be a lot of time on the field time on the field leads to opportunity opportunity leads towards targets which leads towards receptions you know so on so forth um lad makoni and Herbert are going to find a connection here pretty early on he's going to be able to do kind of the underneath dirty stuff as uh Palmer stays on the outside we'll see a ton of slot work out of makoni um but that's he's he's going to be able to do that get those yards after the catch my fear with lad makoni to be completely honest is he did have some ailing back issues while he was at Georgia um caused him to miss some time each of the last couple Seasons yeah I I tend to believe you Kevin I I have to believe you that that he is going to be the guy there um but the guy in La for the Chargers is going to be different than the guy in Kansas City right like it it is different it's just different um because those are completely different offenses with different play callers so I'm a little nervous just based on the offense the fact that he is a rookie um you've probably sold me on the fact that I would be comfortable taking him at uh 93
