Time. Now at 507 on your Thursday morning, you haven't needed it in a little while, but make sure you grab that rain jacket umbrella with you today. Oh, yes. The next couple of days there will be no shortage of rain whatsoever. It does look to be more of an on and off pattern, but as we go throughout this afternoon, pretty good coverage all over central Georgia, hopefully giving everyone that much needed rain. So let's take a live look down in Dublin right now. It doesn't look like there's too many wet roads, probably going to be a different story later on in the coming hours as well as we get to this evening right now, temperature wise, upper sixties, low seventies around that 70 degree mark all over central Georgia and the dew points starting to see a little bit of an uptick in that moisture. We're definitely seeing some areas of that dark green, that really muggy air that you can wear further down to our southwest and then further over towards the Atlantic coast of Georgia. Right now, the winds are also a factor a little bit gusty as you head on out the door and going to get stronger throughout today as we get closer to that center of circulation associated with uh tropical storm Francine. Right now, satellite and radar picture, there's some light showers, maybe Sprinkle showers further up, stretching from Putnam County all the way down to Washington County, a blip or two here or there like over Dublin. And then as we take it further to the southwest, that's gonna be the theme throughout this forecast. You're gonna hear me talk about the west and the southwest, a good handful. But right now this is all courtesy of outer bands from Francine. You see this red box right here. This is a tornado watch issued for the Gulf Coast and the Panhandle of Florida stretching all the way over into that eastern edge of Louisiana. So that's where the center of circulation is right there associated with Francine, starting to stretch into the very southern portion of Mississippi winds down to 45 miles an hour. So once we get uh below a certain threshold, I think below 40 miles an hour, this will become a tropical depression. So Francine rapidly weakening as it moves over land and expected to dissipate sometime Friday afternoon. So hopefully after that, we won't see any organization left with it, but we're still going to feel the impacts here in Central Georgia for the next couple of days. So around 9 a.m. is when that rain enters from the southwest. This morning and looking pretty widespread coverage wise as we go just past the midday hour. Then by the time you're eating dinner tonight, we're looking at this to kind of scatter on out and this is gonna set the stage for that on and off rain over the next couple of days. We look to start out Friday morning, relatively clear besides a Sprinkle shower or two. Once we get into Friday afternoon, we get that daytime heating, some of those breaks and cloud cover, we could sprout a storm or two, mainly in our western counties west of ice 75. And I'll show you what I mean by that in just a second with our storm outlook taking it on the Saturday morning looks like a mostly clear start maybe a Sprinkle or two. And then once again, similar story as we head into the evening hours on Saturday, that's when we could look at some clusters of thunderstorms start to develop. So here's our storm outlook for today, like I said, west divide 75 a level one threat. But we're looking at the possibilities mainly of the spin up tornadoes or those severe thunderstorm warnings to be closer to the Alabama Georgia State line. But this is also issued as go into tomorrow as well for Friday, the same risk just extended a little bit further eastward here in central Georgia. We'll continue to keep a close eye on the radar for any potential severe weather but right now, the confidence is still fairly low. So right now, you can just plan on, on and off rain and a windy day today. The winds will start to die down tomorrow. But the good news is all this rain and cloud cover is keeping us on the cooler side, temperature wise, only going to top out in the low eighties. And then once we get back into the midweek next week that we're touching the mid eighties once again.
