[Music] welcome to double dogs and our sports report I'm Jeff Pororo here live boy it is really starting to fill up as you can see behind me some of the volleyball players from UK are here they played at versus Nebraska on Monday night and came in here right after it so great to see them here and also next to me Ryan black from the Louisville Courier Journal his second year covering the University of Kentucky and I tell you what let's just jump right into it while you're here okay 48,000 tickets sold out season tickets that had happened a while so there's some excitement in Lexington isn't there there sure is Jeff you know and I don't see any reason why there shouldn't be I mean you know look year after year after year mark stop has made this into one of the most consistent programs of the SEC and really now the fan base is looking to take that next step from just being a perennial Bowl team to maybe competing for a playoff spot there's two guys that are going to step foot for the first time in live action on Saturday and they're two pretty important guys one's the offensive coordinator Bush Hampton and the others is starting quarterback and Brock Vandergriff what do you expect out of both of them on set you know I expect them both to do really well you know game one against Southern Miss I I think that that'll be a fine game you I think what have to see next week against South Carolina then of course George will be the big test and I think you know it's very legitimate to have questions about both of them but especially Vander Griff given how little he played at Georgia so you know but I do think game one will be a great debut for both of them one thing that they've talked about and and we've all asked these questions to coach stupes and a bush has been Tempo or Pace I I think with this C system it's going to be a little quicker they're going to get 55 65 snaps a game right yeah I think so and when I think the thing is there's no way they can be slower than last year cuz they literally had the fewest plays per game of any FBS team so there will be Improvement that way but anybody who thinks they're going to go with the tempo of Tennessee or Old Miss that that's not going to happen biggest question mark in your mind oh wow biggest question mark in my mind probably the offensive line you know I just think you know they've got some positions there where you're not 100% sure where they're going to come out of it but hey that's why they brought Eric Wolford back after you know Nick Sav retired Alabama wolford's back in the fold and I think he'll have them playing well by the middle of the season so I I I I do have to ask you about the running backs too we all thought it was going to be chip trainum coming in he's injured now you got a couple of guys who again never really played much in Demi what do you expect from them oh I think you know again I don't want to put that Ash and janty comparison cuz that's who bsh hamon had last year at Boise State but he's already showed what a great pass catcher he is so I think is he going to be a run between the tackles guy I don't know about that but I think at least in game one he's going to be able to hold down the forward and whenever they get sh training back they're going to be good to go all right how can people follow you um at Ryan a on Twitter and C courier-journal.com is where my work is at you going to get something to eat what are you looking at you know I have't I haven't had a chance to look at the menu yet J got to take a look I'm I'm down for recommendation the mac and cheese buffalo chicken I hear is the bomb so I might have to grab that but this is fun hey come on out and join us we're live out here again TG will be right back we've got a wheel you can spend for some great prizes and we also have some winners of some great gift cards we'll tell you about that coming up at 6:00 so for Ryan I'm Jeff Muro Paxton back to you and Studio
