My sister went on a walk with the dog at 430 this afternoon and didn't pass out. Well, it was only like 93 or 90. Exactly. How cool is that? Have you ever, are you in that kind of shape that you could do something like that? Not at 430 in the afternoon. No, no, you got, you have goals then something to work on. So you basically just open the back door and let the dog run out, call it back, go, go poop in the neighbor's yard. I'll see you in 15 minutes. Ok. I wanna talk about, I have a drought update for you. It's not good news, the rainfall this month. I mean, this is not breaking news. I mean, it's the month of August. We rarely have much rain, but we've only picked up a third of an inch. We're below normal by, uh, an inch and two thirds, 1.65 for the month. The summer we've had 6.5 inches of rain. It's not, it hasn't been a bad summer. It's been a really dry August. It hasn't been a bad summer. Uh, we're below normal by an inch and a quarter. Trust me, we've had a lot of summers that are much worse than a deficit of an inch and a quarter. 31.64 for the year for the year. We're doing great. Remember, we had such a wet spring. We're above normal for the year by seven and a quarter. Now you look at this, this, uh, light tan color here that's moderate drought. So, more than half of North Texas has engulfed in moderate drought and then we have severe drought that's reared its head from Wise County, uh Decatur to Bowie out toward Graham. Archer City, Wichita falls a little bit out here in Albany and Abilene. But the good news is, I do have some rain in the forecast. It is really bad. The drought is out here in the Big Bend area also just to the west and northwest of San Antonio coastal Texas. Uh deep south Texas is doing ok right now, but far west Texas is not doing well at all. We've had a little bit of rain here along the coastal areas today. A little bit of rain out in the big bend. Still a little bit of shower activity up in parts of the Panhandle. I don't have any rain in my forecast for that. Now. Sulfur springs, you could have a couple spotty showers for the next hour. But other than that, we're dry for the rest of tonight. Watch what happens as we head into the day tomorrow, we have a cold front. I, I've adjusted my rainfall, uh, coverage during the day tomorrow because a cold front that's moving in our direction. It's a weak one, but it's really slowed down. So there's seven o'clock tomorrow morning. Check this out. Not much happening in the morning, not much happening through the early part of the afternoon. 23 o'clock, we'll have a little bit of spotty rain developing out here off to the west. There's 567 o'clock. So there's a low coverage of some rain tomorrow. Kind of similar to what we had today, about 20%. And then as that front moves a little bit closer, rain coverage goes up mainly Dallas, Fort Worth and West. But Friday evening, we're looking at about 40% coverage of rain. And as that, we front starts to move in seven o'clock in the morning on Saturday, we'll keep some scattered rain around, especially as we head through Saturday afternoon. Again, this is not widespread tomorrow. It is not widespread on Saturday, higher rain coverage on Sunday and Monday front continues to sag to the south. Here's seven in the morning, Sunday, a little bit of rain possible in the morning. But by the afternoon, it's a bit more widespread. About half of the sea rain, 50 60% of the sea rain on Sunday and then watch what happens on Labor Day seven in the morning, Monday, about 50 maybe maybe 60% of us, but about 50% of us on Monday see rain. So my Labor Day Weekend forecast, uh Saturday, 40% of us see rain, 60% of us on Sunday, 50% of us on Monday. And we're looking at, you know, like Rockwall today, Rockwall County picked up an inch, inch and a half in a short period of time because one thunderstorm, so through Labor Day, not everyone will see rain, but those locations that do certainly could pick up a half an inch to an inch across the area. Temperatures tomorrow will be near normal 93 for the high and then cooler than normal. Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Look at, look at Monday Labor Day, high temperature of 87 degrees. So the forecast tonight, uh mainly dry for the rest of this night, other than northeast Texas could see a spotty shower too for the next few hours. 75 and muggy tonight tomorrow, partly sunny, uh, a humid day tomorrow, not hot. 93 degrees. That's the high temperature, 20% of us during the day tomorrow. See some rain, 40% of us tomorrow evening. See rain. There's the rain coverage, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. We keep some rain around Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. But look at those temperatures, we trend down as we head into a Saturday even farther down on Sunday, Sunday's high 89. And then as we look at Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday we stay in the eighties those days. So the first seven of the 14, we have rain in the forecast. The last seven of the 14, we have no rain in the forecast. But for this time of year, uh, we have some pretty pleasant temperatures with highs those three days or those seven days in the, uh, in the, you know, right around 90 91 92. So the lower nineties, so, you know, need some rain. I don't have any severe weather in my forecast, uh, through the holiday weekend. But that's not to say we couldn't have some gusty winds with a thunderstorm. It's not a tornado situation. It's not a large hail situation. It's not a Draco situation. I know Cynthia is always talking about Draco's those long live wind storms, but we don't, we don't have any Doritos in our forecast. Uh, so, uh, but some heavy rain and some gusty winds are a possibility and some lightning as Jonah always points out.
