Intro the Philadelphia Eagles weren't looking too hot against the Vikings Jan doson looking for revenge against the Washington commanders Cooper deene showing some potential in his preseason debut despite a couple hiccups lesea Shady McCoy is going to the Hall of Fame with roster Cuts approaching who's going to make the team all that and more live right here on the birds cast I'm feeling like scramble out the pocket boy first like Davis we BL put him in the dirt big Johan Dotson Revenge Tour Jan doson is looking for Revenge after his debut press conference with the Philadelphia Eagles it looks like Jan Dodson is looking to get back at the Washington commanders it was a shock you know um just because you know all I know in the NFL is Washington commanders um but you know at the end of the day you know it's a business um and I understand that very much so and um you know it all happens so fast and you don't kind of get to react to it but you know I would say being out here today and being on the field and kind of taking the field and taking it all in a little bit um you know I'm I'm very excited it got me like I got goosebumps leaving the field today what kind of explanation did you get from Washington yeah um you know they I talked to Coach Dan Quinn and Mr Adam Peters um and you know they told me they think very highly of me um it was kind of just something that happens you know uh these things happen all the time in the NFL um you know so I didn't I didn't I'm not going to take it personal until I see Washington uh but you know I'm it's exciting I'm excited to be here um I I can't wait to to put on the the black and green um and I can't wait to get to work boy oh boy do I look forward to our week 11 matchup against Washington because I know datson is going to make a statement now let's get to our third and final preseason game I was not a fan of Final Preseason Game Thoughts this one I'm not going to lie players were getting beat time and time again the defense was looking super vanilla and the Vikings just kept driving the ball down the field safety Tristan McCollum finally got a pick on Jared Hall but it was called back due to an elal contact penalty on Cooper deene overall Cooper deene had a pretty solid Cooper DeJean Debut Review debut minus some small mistakes he had five tackles one stop for loss and even a pass breakup another guy that looked pretty good was Ben Bans suumer Ben VanSumeren Goes To Work! Beware of the Dog my guy was out there balling van sumerin had six tackles five of them were solo and he also added in a sack in there I think my guy is going to make the roster and be a great depth piece at linebacker another guy that was Oren Burks Looked Good! going crazy was linebacker Orin Burks my guy finished with seven tackles five of them solo and a sack do you think Orin Burks makes the final roster or is he a practice squad lock either way I'm impressed with what he showed out there on the field with the official roster Roster Cuts Cuts approach fast I'm really interested to see who gets cut and surprisingly there might be some names on that list that we don't want to see go but that's not always a bad thing that just means we have plenty of Talent on this roster and a lot of the guys that we don't want to see go will probably still make the practice squad so we're not losing out after all the season is bound to have some injuries so that gives an opportunity for some of these guys to get elevated but what are your thoughts who do you think stays and who do you think goes let me know down in the comments hit that subscribe button and that notification Bell so you're always up to date on Eagles content in other Shady Is Eagles HOF Bound! news big shout out to Shady McCoy cut on a dime my boy's getting inducted to the Eagles Hall of Fame congratulations to him and shout out to Jeffrey Lorry for making it happen as far as our backup Back Up QB Battle quarterbacks I'm not really seeing much from Kenny picket hopefully it'll get better but best case scenario we don't even need him and Tanner mcke did have a Tanner Mckee QB2? great game against the Patriots but struggled a little bit in this game against the Vikings coming in and getting a f off gate in his first drive but I got a lot of high hopes for Tanner I mean he's showing a lot of promise I feel like he'll be a great qb2 or three what do you guys think do you want to Pickett Or Mckee? see Kenny pick it or do you want to see Tanner mcke win that qb2 spot put your thoughts in the comment section I mean if you ask me I'm pretty excited about the start of the regular season I mean the Eagles have Jaylen Herz saquin Barkley Dallas Gard AJ Brown Devonte Smith and now Jan Dodson multiple Eagles Number 1 Offense In NFL? reporters in NFL analysts are now calling the Eagles the number one offense in the NFL with Stephen A Smith even saying that he has the Eagles going to the Super Bowl but I'm gonna throw Steven A Smith Picks Eagles For Superbowl Run! out this name in all seriousness I'm gonna throw out Jaylen Herz I don't think you can sarily dismiss it because they were just in the Super Bowl a couple of years ago and we saw how Herz performed in that game I think this is Dan Orlovsky On Eagles Offense now giving Philadelphia the best wide receiver wide receiver Trio in football this was a really good offense to begin with if doson just replicates what he did which is 50 or so catches and 500 yards at that number three wide receiver spot I don't know of anybody in the NFC that can line up and play man-to-man coverage against those four pass catchers what do you guys think do you think we're going to win the NFC East I'm pretty sure we will but the biggest question remains will our defense be Will The Eagles Defense Be Better? better than it was last year under Vic fangio with a lot of young promising talent and guys like CJ Gardner Johnson Isaiah Rogers and Darius slle of course I think that we'll be just fine can't forget about our linebackers Devin white and Zack Bond and don't forget you still got Jordan Davis and Jaylen Carter and Milton Williams on the defensive line with Edge rushers like Bryce huff and Josh sweat I say that our defense takes a big leap this year and I know James Bradberry gets a lot of hate but having him as a depth piece is always good especially if he can get back to his 2022 season then with the young guys like Cooper deene quinar Mitchell key Ringo I mean the list goes on we're stacked at defense and if I'm being honest I think we're being a little overlooked what do you guys think do you think our defense is going to be better or worse than it was last year now the Outro Final Cut date is on Tuesday at 400 p.m. eastern time I'll definitely be covering it so make sure you like subscribe hit that notification Bell and share this with any of your fellow Birds fans all fellow birds are welcome to come join the nest thank you so much for watching and listening this is lust coming to you live from the birds cast feeling like scramble out the pocket boy first like Davis we blit and put him in the dirt big play I'm feeling like SL The Rock feel like a
