Bill Carroll z6u media and I am at it again working my way through that watch list couple more weeks to go before the season begins I'm going to try to give you two players per day until we get to College week zero right I'm going to start with Hunter Brown once again this a player that I believe is at least a pridor and draft free agent but if he tests super well if he ends up being 6'4 as opposed to say 63 and a quarter 63 and a half he ends up being legitimately 240 and not you know 234 lbs those things will help uh first spotted him when he was playing nuk State many years ago when he was back at St Francis in fact his first career reception behold was against my uh my n State Spartans uh then uh in that 2021 year he was in 11 games at 14 catches for an 84 yards a 53 y against Central Connecticut and I said his first career reception against us September 25th of that year also had three receptions against Bryant then in that next year in 2022 he kept growing kept establishing himself had 14 sorry 16 catches for 221 yards also had his three receiving touchdowns also rushed for 46 yards on 10 carries uh and a rushing touchdown so you could see athletic ability change of Direction a little bit of power uh his best game was a two touchdown game five receptions 71 yards against Duane and then last year also he chipped in um a two-yard run touchdown run against Central conet then last year you he really put a stamp on last year he transfers to Eastern Kentucky has a a real breakout season in 11 games he had 387 yards and receiving also had three touchdowns on those 33 catches averaging 11.7 per reception three receptions per game and 35.2 yards per game I think all those I think average closer to four maybe 4.1 4.2 catches per game it up somewhere in that 42 to 45 reception area over 400 yards maybe over 450 yards receiving I think he gets to the four maybe five touchdown range this year and like I say listed a 64 he looks like he might be slightly under that but if he's close and I think he's probably in the upper 230s but if you can get to say 242 lbs which is 2 lb for what he's listed probably about five to8 pounds from what he probably is walking around weight he has a legitimate shot I see him probably at College gr showcase or NFL PA Game possibly even shrine game the next player is a player who it'll be a fight even get him maybe the college gr on showcase or or the the now reconstituted hola or something like that but okay I'm going to be very honest I have a thing for undersized players uh as you may not have may not have noticed no you've noticed uh but this guy is a perfect little defensive back and I accident on the little he's probably going to have to make it as a special teamer but one of the best players in D3 I personally he'd be one of the first calls I'd make after the draft is over just because of his size he's not getting drafted but He's listed at 5'6 um 5'5 and three qus probably uh I think the 163 is about right 161 162 somewhere in there also a really good Sprinter so uh as a member of the track team at Dennison he's put up good numbers his he's been a two-time All Conference ncac uh Outdoors three times indoors he's a School record holder in the 60 at 6.93 and he's won his conference and a couple of things so he's on their 4x200 team uh he's run a 107 c00 M A 2272 200 and he's on a 4 by1 relay team that came in at 4214 as I mentioned his PR in the 60 which is his best event and you see as his build you can see like that would be his best event is say a 693 I truly think he has a chance his um he's run at 107 in the 100 which is his PR in the 100 I mentioned the 693 he's uh he's got to make it a special teamer I get it I get it he's not g a chance to play defensive back because he's almost 5'6 probably but he's such a good little football player now uh as I as I mentioned I fell in love with him watching him play defensive back but as a returner uh last year as a punt returner bit of a dip um he had a better year the Year prior he was one of the best punt returns I saw in D3 in 2022 so I'll start with 2021 uh only had three attempts he wasn't the primary returner yet for 65 yards 21.7 yards per return then in 2022 in 10 games he had 14 returns for 319 yards two touchdowns including a 94 yard or 22.8 yards per return that he was a terrific pun returner and then last year uh dipped slightly though he had 15 attempts only 140 yards in returns and only a 23 Y in his long only 9.3 which is still not awful but down from being I thought one of the best returns returners in all of D3 so um it's it's very simple kickoff return punt return gunning that's his ticket to chance playing the NFL his DB tape is really really good I understand he's not going to just have to play defensive back in the NFL but he's so good uh maybe Arena maybe but those are two players that I really like one of whom I think has a legitimate chance to play his stated position tight end at the NFL the other one clearly will have to be a punt returner kickoff returner but but those are my two I will have two more for you tomorrow I promise once again it's
