thank you sir have a seat you are beaten it is useless to resist don't let yourself be destroyed as obiwan [Music] did your most famous voiceover thing that you did at first was as Darth Vader playing Darth Vader in the uh Star Wars movies was that something was was that actually I mean what was involved in that because I actually heard that your involvement in that was was it wasn't I'm special effects uh David PR did the role of course you know and then when Lucas put the film together he realized he wanted a a darker Voice or a base voice so he called around I think he thought of oron Wells first and then he realized that he might be too recognizable that's right so he picks a kid that comes from Mississippi who stutters and raised in Michigan you know there is no Escape don't make me Destroy You Luke you do not yet realize your importance you have only begun to discover your power join me and I will complete your training with our combined strength we can end this destructive conflict and bring order to the Galaxy and uh and and so how much how much did you actually work on on that film we spent about 2 and a half hours that uh to do Darth Vader that's incredible you came in and did that in 2 and a half hours and it had such an effect on we didn't know what we had you know and um and the second episode so we we we spend a whole day trying to figure out what we did right you know and uh and Lucas finally figured out what it you know don't be too expressive you know I was trying to improve on you know improve my performance he said no it's all about a narrow band of expression if you get too expressive he seems too human that's right if you only knew the power of the dark side obiwan never told you what happened to your father he told me enough he only you killed it no I am your father
