[Music] hey guys Freddy Tech back with another video from CFL Tech we have another update here on the Direct TV versus Disney dispute now the channels have gone dark as of yesterday evening on September 1st now we're a day later here and the channels are still dark at the time of this video and that's no surprise at this point so now we have the TV promise website pulled up here Direct TV's own website and it's TV promise so we'll link this down below so now they're offering some credits here it looks like for about $20 so we'll show you how to do this now if you're a direct TV Stream customer we have it already selected for Direct TV stream and zip code that we have here so we'll go ahead and do this now and show you now there's not much to this website as you'll see here to give any more information we're here to we're here whenever you need us your entertainment is our priority Channel disruption so more information on that and are you a direct TV for business customer but the entertainment is our priority section here we'll give you more information on working with Disney and kind of what they're looking for as far as smaller packages and more flexibility for Direct TV customers but let's go ahead now and look at this here at the top it says our contract with Disney has expired we appreciate your patience while we negotiate to offer you more flexible Channel lineups and all your shows and Sports in one place so let's go ahead now we have Direct TV stream now you have these other options you have you verse and Direct TV as well so we put in the zip code for Direct TV stream that's the service we have so now it'll bring you here to this little uh section our contract with Disney to offer its local broadcast stations and National channels has expired so there you go and now it says here you know we're excited to see the start of the new college and NFL football seasons 2 if you're concerned about possibly missing one of your favorite teams in the next few weeks here's the good news Fox CBS NBC and Amazon Prime video televis most of NFL action while ESPN and ABC has one game per week chances are your favorite team won't play Monday night until later in the season and we've had plenty of time to come to a new a new agreement so there you go some information on that and they tell you here more more ways to watch and then here you see uh explore Bill credits so let's go ahead and select Direct TV stream which is what we put in earlier and now it should give you some information here to Direct TV customers thank you for your patience as we continue negotiations to claim a onetime $20 credit please enter the email address on file for your account it says here note to receive credit the email address you provide must be linked to the active Direct TV or Direct TV stream account and you must maintain an active account until the credit is applied credits are applied in up to two Bill Cycles so there you go they are offering a $20 credit as it looks like right now now will this change if this goes on I would imagine so hopefully it doesn't go into another billing cycle at least you know another month from now hopefully this is resolved by at least Monday Night Football time with spectrum they did resolve their issues uh you know by the time NFL season started last year Monday Night Football that is so there's a chance they'll come to an agreement again but we cannot promise that this dispute is different than previous ones and you know with all that going on with the venue Sports and now these TV providers are asking for a little bit more now they're looking for that flexibility which in the past it was more about just the rising cost of programming so now we have these other things thrown in the mix Spectrum started this with with uh Disney so now we're seeing Direct TV going with the same approach so this may drag this out a little longer than the typical disputes so we'll see what happens with this but it's still in the best interest for both parties both sides to come to an agreement as soon as possible with so much at stake with all of the advertisers and with Football starting of course this happens at the worst time they can't pick a worst time but they also know they get you where it hurts or gets each other where it hurts so they know that one side's going to want something the other one's going to say no they know this is going to happen and eventually they'll give in it's just a matter of when so we'll see what happens but this is a way to get a credit which I wanted you to know about this if you weren't aware so you get a $20 credit Direct TV Direct TV stream customers check this out we'll link it down below let's hope this is resolved soon hopefully you enjoyed this video and helped you out Freddy Tech checking out of this one and stay tuned for more updates on this as we go through this Freddy Tech checking out take care [Music]
