and just segue a little bit talking about the draft and Caleb Williams and adier top 30 visits that's all you've seen this week like this is kind of like the Dead period like everything stops there's no more there's no combine there's no Pro days all of that yeah so then like you jump on Twitter you see all the Insiders like some and so's at a top 30 visit so and so and I thought it was interesting of like a top 30 visit what like what like if I'm the normal fan sitting at home what the heck is a top 30 visit what do you do there and I thought it was so interesting because when I went on mine I I I wrote them down I tried to think back of like all right what where did I go and I went to St Louis I went to Dallas I went to the two local ones the Jets and Giants um uh did I say Cleveland San Diego at the time so I'm like oh yeah go to Dallas it's this huge group this beautiful dinner they took us to the stadium it was just Cleveland was sat down with the coaches saw the facility San Diego same thing sat down with the co it was just so different and I was just like you know what these guys don't they don't know what to expect some guys go in a full suit I remember being a player and being a veteran and walking through the locker room I see guys butting up in their suit then some guys no I didn't I wore a polo though I had buttons on there came button up then other guys come on there you know jeans especially nil big chains everywhere like and I was just like what if there was a what if there was a blueprint of what your top 30 visit is going to be like and I know agents have a good you know kind of index and roll de of hey this team's kind of like this this team's kind of like that but I think it's such a nerve-wracking experience because for these top 30 business you're not going to really you're not going to work out but you're G to be in there sometimes coaches are going to sit down with you on my Dallas visit we sat down we got on the board he was showing me this defense we're doing this then I went all throughout the day met more people then at the end of the day we met again he was like hey remember that defense I taught you draw that defense up I remember sitting there like dang is this going to be the reason I don't get drafted is this only going to with Dallas are they going to tell the rest of the league and not knowing if you did well if you didn't do well you're trying to remember but you're so excited being there so I just think it it it's such a crazy thing and I think the top 30 visits are different for everybody I was a guy that it was rumored to be maybe a late first round or maybe a second or third rounder but then there's these guys that you know you're going into the top 10 so you might be more relaxed on your top 30 visit and then there's other guys like you that no combine invite none of that stuff so you're like I don't even know why I'm here they probably not drive them anyway I'm just trying to see if somebody will give me a try out for a job so it's it's crazy I would I wouldn't go that I wouldn't go that far I would try out for a job uh to your point though that's the crazy thing about the top 30 visits is it's a range and like you said you'll be on there with a group of people for me I wasn't on there I don't think anybody that was on any of mine I went on seven of them were firstr draft picks and a lot of mine because I didn't go to the combine was people needed to get a medical on me we just need to send you to our doctor's office to do MRI and all of those different things just in case we do decide to draft you but it is a nerve-wracking process and you went out to nice dinners and stuff I think we had like a $40 $40 voucher to order room service up the night before and then as soon as we finished our visit you went straight to the airport and you get on a standby flight because you probably would finish early to get back home as soon as possible to keep training cuz hell you were trying to get drafted so I think the top 30 visit to your point is different for every single person and to a extent we get enamored like you just said because there's nothing else going on right now I went on seven of those visits none of the seven teams I visited drafted me the Tennessee Titans drafted me and yes it was a 203d pick so at that point you might be looking at the draft board and just be like we're going with that guy but I had never spoken to anybody on the Tennessee Titans never talked to fiser but Adams nobody so then I end up getting there Mike reinfeld was the GM at the time that drafted me and even my DB coach Marcus Robertson didn't speak to him before then but he was like I'm a fan of yours I like you I've been watching film Kenny Brit my college teammate gets drafted there in the first round he asked Kenny what do you think about him Kenny was like he gave me a headache every single day in practice that helped me get drafted there so there's so many different variables the one thing I would say to guys man go and enjoy the process and I know as nerve-wracking as it is you do a top 30 visit you're in a new city that you maybe have never visited before you're in a brand new sometimes facility with all these different coaches and stuff just enjoy it and the draft is Gonna Come where you're getting drafted is gonna happen the work starts once you get to whatever building you're in and then you start to carve out a name for yourself yeah there's no doubt about it you have to enjoy it because it's gone just like that and I I still remember mine when I went to San Diego I was watching film with the DB coach and he throws on Antonio cardi and Antonio cart's doing a cover two drill where he's sliding across and then he's opening his hips turning and running every time the ball comes he's just putting one hand up in the air and C ing the ball and he was like yeah that's Crow that's that's what Crow can do and I'm like Dam I that's a starting cornerback I I can't do that that that is insane so it was just funny and at that time he was already on the Jets but he was just showing me Elite film of what practice looks
