Dawn Does Keto Makes A Change! The Cleveland Air Show and Our Carnivor-ish Challenge.

shut hello everyone this is here and now with Mike and Dawn was that good this channel follows us on our adventures and as we try our best to lead a ketogenic lifestyle nope this channel follows us on our adventures doing our best to lead a ketogenic lifestyle and adjusting to being empty nesters oh empty nesters you guys are going to have to give us a little bit of rce if that did not come off right because that was our first time doing it wow that just sounds so good empty nesters for those of you are watching and you are not an empty nester let me just tell you right now oh my gosh it's amazing it's amazing now we love our kids but it's and our grand kids and our grandkids but it's amazing yeah so as you guys see from the beginning of this video we now have a new intro the channel name has officially changed it is here and now with Mike and Dawn yep and by the way thank you for all the votes yeah but basically Mike got his way anyway right I didn't necessarily want my way it was just my suggestion you actually provided you guys will hear us later in the video talk about this a little bit but yeah he definitely wanted you provided two suggestions both of which were very good and I told you which one I thought was the better of the two but in the end you made the call and I'm okay with it the runnerup names I guess were doing life with Dawn and Mike or making memories with Mike and Dawn and in the end I ended up making the decision just to do the he I wasn't there I wasn't there she was putting everything together because she does most of the work again did all the new intro and did the new you know all the banner and all the other stuff her and my daughter our daughter I had nothing to do with it when she came home from doing all that I asked her I said hey so what did you decide to go with and she said I did I went with here and now just to keep you quiet no is not what I said I just said that I went with here and now and you were surprised because I was I honestly thought you were going to do I was not leaning life with Dawn and Mike and I thought that that was going to be the the the new name and I like that name I think that was a good name but if we don't like this we can you know if we get a l we'll just keep changing it we'll just change it again yeah if we get a lot of feedback like hey that that name stinks Mike's terrible then uh I won't even tell you what I think so with that being said we're going to roll right into this week's video and we'll be back with you at the end of this video good morning everyone it is Thursday August 29th and as we head into the weekend we just want to give you guys an update of what's going on what we're doing right now I have my beautiful granddaughters with me can you say hi hi hi we are heading over to help Mike's mom my mother-in-law take care of my father-in-law this morning I do that most every morning during the week Livy what are you taking over to Grandma Johnston's house puzzle a puzzle you're going to work on a puzzle what kind of puzzle is it Bluey Bluey puzzle very cool and Olivia is actually getting ready to start school pretty soon she's going to preschool so that's going to change our schedule a little bit once she starts preschool cuz she'll go to preschool 3 days a week we are going to head over there help Mike's mom and dad then I will get the girls home and I will go to work for a little while Mike and I have a baseball game to go to later one of the vendors at work is having a night at the Ballpark not the Major League it's a minor league game so other people from work will be there and it will be a good time so we're looking forward to that so we will keep you guys updated of what we're doing say bye guys bye hey guys so as I mentioned earlier Mike and I are now on our way to a minor league baseball game in our area they are the rubber ducks I kind of tried to explain to them earlier this is not a work event necessarily right like your company is not putting it on no my company has nothing to do with it it's a customer appreciation event from one of the carriers that I use at work so will there be a lot of people from your work there or just just me and me and you and Dave and his wife gotcha it's only four of us from his work I tried to explain what the game was tonight and I was completely wrong so anyway we are on our way downtown right now for that that'll probably pretty much conclude today because I'm not really sure how late this event is going to go yeah that's going to conclude today and I uh I'm making a cameo I'm basically chauffeuring you to the game I'll take it [Music] [Music] sun in your eyes yeah left my sunglasses in the car good morning everyone it is Friday happy Friday everybody I'm so excited it is the end of August it's August 30th is anybody else freaking out that it's the end of August and we're like heading into the holidays soon this is ridiculous I can't get over it I just ran through a quick shower I am headed out to go help my mother-in-law this morning morning I just have an iced coffee it's black with a little bit of heavy cream no sweetener or anything in there to take with me and then I'm going to pick up my daughter-in-law she and my granddaughters who you saw yesterday today is her day off she doesn't work on Fridays so we had planned ahead of time to do some school shopping for Olivia she's so excited about starting preschool this year and so we are going out and you know getting all the fun stuff the backpack the new shoes some new clothes I'm excited to be a part of that I have not gone school shopping since my daughter graduated high school which was in 2021 so been like 3 years since I've gone school shopping I'm excited to do it with with my granddaughters that's what's on the agenda today and then I will probably just work tonight cuz we have plans for the coming weekend so I need to get a little bit of work in so I think we'll do that shopping today during the day and then I will go out and work tonight we will keep you guys updated thanks so much for coming along on this journey with us guys you're like way back happy Saturday everyone it is officially the last day of August which is like I said yesterday it's just insane to me that we are going into this last part of the Year already it's crazy it's 1:00 in the afternoon and we are sitting on our front porch we are waiting patiently for our friends Bobby and Steve to come pick us up our plans for today we're headed to Cleveland we got an Airbnb up there with our friends today we're going going to Lake View Cemetery I'm not really sure what is there I guess there's some dead people it's a cemetery what did you think was going to be there I get that but I think that Steve said there are like famous people buried there I don't know I'm guessing we're we're we're going to be exhuming some remains no we're not we're headed the Lake View Cemetery first then we are going to check into our Airbnb there are six of us staying in the Airbnb tonight and then we are going to go out to dinner and then just hang out tonight and play games and spend some time with our friends and then tomorrow we are going to the air show in Cleveland it is the Blue Angels right that's what they're called had to make sure I've never seen them before I don't think you have either have you I've seen them on TV well I mean like not in person though I've never been to an air show ever air shows have never been like at the top of my bucket list so I've never gone out of my way to to go see one but our son was really jealous when he heard that we were going to see them didn't realize that that was something that he would be excited to do and he's like oh I've always wanted to go see those he's never said that to us but he was really upset that we didn't ask him to come was next year so that is our plan for Sunday it is the holiday weekend I don't know what you guys are doing drop a comment down below let us know what you're doing for this Labor Day weekend that's all we got planned right now no it's pretty low key we're just enjoying a couple days and then we're going to we're going to be home Sunday evening and Monday we'll be all all day Monday and honestly that's fine with me because we've been out on the road this summer a lot and we've you know been doing a lot of camping and stuff and I don't mind having a weekend and and again we're we're going to be gone for two days but I don't mind having a weekend our neighbors are out but I don't mind having a weekend where we're not doing a whole lot actually it's going to give us a chance to do a little bit of meal prepping on Monday for this week as we told you guys that we're doing this like Carnivor challenge for the next 6 weeks so on Monday we're going to like cook up some ham hamburgers bacon hot dogs I'll make sure to show that to you guys I also wanted to apologize that I didn't really show you any video yesterday when we were out shopping for the girls I told you guys that we were going but even with two adults there wrangling a three and four-year-old who both want to go in different directions is like next to Impossible it was completely insane but we got Olivia pretty much ready to go back to school I think she has back she's never been to okay we got her ready to go to school so we're excited about that she got everything that she needed some new clothes new shoes and she's ready to go but I didn't really get to show you any Clips or anything from that just because we had our hands full basically we will try to record a little bit of video today for you guys and tomorrow at the air show I'll try to get some clips and put those in here so you guys can see a little bit of the Blue Angels or what're we're going to have to charge your admission yeah we don't we don't want to violate any policies of any kind so we may have to take you know admission price or we'll cut in half Mike's feeling generous today all right guys that's it just want to take you guys again as we said as the channel goes forward of taking you guys along with us on our Many Adventures and the things that we have going on in our life and just trying to keep you updated more than we have been in the past so well yeah because we want everyone to know what we're doing here and now we have not decided that that's going to be the name of it I know but I'm just showing you how well it fits what we're doing now to help make that decision because I feel like if we're going to do more of a lifestyle type Channel where we're showing more of what we do on a daily basis not just revolved around our eating habits which those of course are an intrical part of what we do because honestly if we don't eat right and feel right we're not doing a whole lot because we don't feel like it yeah I mean we've learned that the hard way but I think if we're going to do that I think the name Here and Now in all seriousness is a reflection of we're showing you what we're doing right right now it's going to be more of a personal Journey as opposed to a just a strict keto Journey or a carnivore Journey so I I don't know I'm just throwing it out there because I he's just trying it on for size I am I mean I feel like it's it's relevant to what we're doing and we got a lot of suggestions about the we did and also and a lot of people like Liv in life with Dawn and Mike was a popular that's not a bad I mean that's not a bad name I thought about because my name starts with a d we could do like doing life with da and Mike it kind of oh I see it kind of it's not Mike and Dawn it's doing life with Dawn and Mike not because of the D thing it just sounds better making life happen with Mike and Dawn it's doing life my mic I see how that is this decision has to be made fairly quickly though if you remember in the last video that we did that you said you know we want to incorporate Mike into the name and change that doesn't mean making Mike the the headliner that that's not what that meant it's all about Dawn oh yeah there's Mike I see it's a graduation you weren't in there at all before right sure some promotion huh all right guys we will see you guys later bye so this is where we're entering the Lake View Cemetery this place is gigantic and it's just beautiful guys we are currently at President James Garfield's Memorial this is the final barrial place of James Garfield and his wife hey guys getting my steps in this is a tall building the only way up is up the stairs it's just a view of the city from up here this is just a picture of us with our run standing at the top of the James Garfield Memorial this is John D rockefeller's Memorial this is the memorial of Allan freed he was a disc jockey in Cleveland and one of the main reasons from what I understand that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is in Cleveland and this is so cool because it's the back of Allen Fred's Tombstone and it looks like a juke box which is really neat this is the burial site of Michael Stanley and here is the burial site of Elliot Ness this is Harvey PE car he wrote comic strips and so if you look there's all these pens that people have put in the ground this is the angel of haero and if you get up close to her it just looks like she's [Music] crying so beautiful good morning everyone we are on the road obviously we're not driving we have one of those cars that drive on its own oh yeah we're really bougie we have that actually we just have we have show we have show first yeah oh are you going to tip well no oh we did not close out this video last night cuz we stayed up and played games with our friends and when we got to bed we were tired so we literally just went right to sleep but we're on our on the road we're on the way to the air show and I will try to show you guys some of that I'm super excited about it cuz we've has never done anything like this so it's going to we're starting a new week and so Mike and I are trying to do a little bit of meal prep so that we got some things to have this week and right now he's just working on getting some bacon cooked up say hi don't look at my profile why cuz my belly stick out now we just have a few hamburgers on the grill and some hot dogs I eat hot dogs a lot for lunch during the week cuz I can eat them easily in the car while I'm driving so we got several of those going this should get us through a couple days at least right you think one or two yeah let's hope cuz we can also have eggs you know that's always something easy so so I also forgot that I had froze a large container of pulled pork I made a pork butt in the crock pot and shredded it up so that is what is in here you can see there's there's ice on it but that's okay we're going to Tha this out and then we'll have this to eat on also this week so that's it guys that wraps up our first official video the end of our weekend Long Weekend by the way it was a holiday weekend which is great gave us a chance to get some food prepped for this week as we do this Carnival porish diet the only thing I still need to do is get the keto Chow shakes made I'm going to make a couple of those and I'm also going to make a couple creamies so that we have those for this week coming up just in case we need them hoping you know that we have enough other stuff that we won't need to but just in case that's it that's a wrap yeah a long weekend but short weekend because it was an extra day but it went by so fast it always does every weekend goes by so fast and it's funny because we didn't have really have anything planned to day which is Labor Day we didn't have anything planned were home getting this video worked on getting the channel organized getting the video finished up doing some meal prep I mowed the lawn but my gosh the day is over yeah it's ridiculous we also have these giant mushrooms in our yard they're not giant mushrooms they're just musroom they are no they're big like clusters of mushrooms and they grow and then they diey and when they die they smell really like musty and when our windows and stuff are open it's like making our house stink like like it's musty basically so so if there's anybody watching this that would have any idea how we can take care of this situation if there's something you can do to prevent these clusters of mushrooms they're okay when they when they're there but it's when they die down that oh man they just it's awful the only thing I can think of is that we go camping yeah we came home from this long weekend and I walked in the door and I was like oh my gosh it just the house smelled stinky and musty you can see here that like the wind is blowing and it blows the air into the house and it just makes the house smell horrible also damp basement it does smell like a damp basement that's exactly what it smells like so when we got home this weekend I was just like oh man that was bad anyway real quick also before we wrap this up our friends had suggested a documentary on Amazon Prime that we watched last night about the Blue Angels so if you liked that part of this video or were interested in that it really shows you like the behind the scenes of what they go through to put that show on and we watched it last night and I thought it was great but it is just called Blue Angels documentary and it's on Amazon Prime so if you're interested in that at all I just wanted to kind of throw that out there too other than that it that's it guys yep one in the books how about that one
