[Music] hey welcome everybody Brian here from EV sport line and I've got another video for the rivan r1t and r1s fans now you all probably have the factory rivan cross bars like I do and they're amazing but when I don't have them installed on the truck or on the SUV what do you do with them they're kind of big they're heavy I don't want them just flopping around in the back of the truck I've got a solution for you so we developed these new rivan crossbar our mounting brackets and this is a whole system that you can either install in the bed of your truck like we have back there or you can put them on the wall in your garage or in the basement now a few things that are different about ours first of all ours are made from extruded aluminum which is anodized and then we have metal pins so they're strong if you had a bike rack or something on your crossbars you don't have to worry that it's too heavy when you put the crossbars on our mounts our mounts can handle as much weight as the crossbars so have at it that's the first thing we also went and have a patent pinning design on this where the pin is not just a bolt because what we found is when we used a pin for the mounting bolts the brackets would just flop around so when you're driving down the road the brackets are bouncing and jiggling we didn't want that now to replicate the shape of the factory Mount we had to take two metal pins and kind of position them in a proper position anyway this was a patent to design and what it results in is a product where the the crossbars don't bounce around when you're driving so it's rigid that's an awesome thing like everything else that we make for the rivan there's no modifications needed you don't have to drill you don't have to screw or make anything permanent modified to the back of the rivan you pop off the covers over the factory mounting bolts and you bolt it on to the back there and you can see we have two sets of crossbars mounted but if you only one set that's fine you could Mount one on the top one on the bottom put them in the middle doesn't matter those same mounting brackets can go on the wall in the garage or in the truck so if you have an r1s put them on the wall in in the garage put your parts up there if you want them in the back of your truck you can bolt them on back there if you only have one set of crossbars we do have a smaller version of the mounting brackets it's just big enough for two now that small one will not go in the truck it only goes on the wall so keep that in mind all right let's get into the install okay let's jump into installation as you can see we've already installed the crossbar mount on the driver side and it fits under the tel cover no problem I'm going to show you how to do the same installation on the passenger side for this installation you'll need a small pick or flathead screwdriver to remove the plastic cover over the bolt you'll need a ratchet extension 10 mm socket and a 4 mm hex key so first we need to pop off this Factory bolt cover you can use either a straight pick or a flathead screwdriver put the pick underneath the edge and lift up and you want to be careful not to pry underneath this metal cup as you could bend that and this won't pop off next grab your 10 mm ratchet remove this Bolt the cup comes out with it and do the same thing on the bottom pop out your plastic cover 10 mm socket and ratch now take the mount and the included Hardware look for the outside marking make sure that's to the outside of the vehicle insert your bolt and use your 4 mm hex socket to get it started once that's started insert the hardware in the bottom the same way and then tighten it down with your ratch so all that's left is to install the factory crossbars into the mount and that's all there is to the install that was pretty easy right all right I'm going to go ahead and pack mine up and head out of here one last thing yes they do work with art Tano cover they work with the factory rivan Tano cover as well all right everybody if you like this video make sure you drop a comment below check the like Mark subscribe to our Channel come back soon we got a lot more rivan content coming your way
