ASYLUM SUMMIT: Baerbock shocks with statement! Talks between CDU and traffic light coalition failed!

We look to Achim Unser in the German Bundestag. Achim, after the failed migration summit yesterday, what's next on this issue? Lindner has announced that he would like to meet again in an illustrious men's group. Yes, I think that is also because Christian Lindner actually positioned himself more on the side of the opposition or the Union in advance . For example, he had just agreed on Sunday to Markus Söder's demand for an upper limit of 100,000 asylum applications per year, and also said that we have to reject more. In this respect, it is of course understandable that he is now trying to take on the role of mediator again in order to present his FDP positively. However, one has to say that Marco Buschmann, the Federal Minister of Justice, said relatively clearly yesterday that one could not expect the federal government to break or bend European law, one could perhaps say. And Buschmann belongs to the FDP. In this respect, Christian Lindner would also have to bring Marco Buschmann along, so to speak, because the Minister of Justice has a lot to say in the matter. So it will be relatively difficult to actually bring these parties together again . The SPD actually suspected in advance that the Union would not be satisfied when it came to the second meeting. Because Friedrich Merz has always made maximum demands, and this is a demand that can actually be made from the opposition, but it will be much more difficult to implement this from the government . What remains is that the measures Nancy Faeser presented are in line with European law, but simply not effective. The Dublin procedure simply doesn't work properly, and if you stick to a procedure that doesn't work, it leads to a lot of dissatisfaction among citizens, in this case the Germans . The traffic light government will continue to struggle with this. You hear again and again from the municipalities regarding those who come to Germany: "We simply do n't have any more space, we're at the limit." Yesterday Annalena Baerbock, of all people, commented on this. Let's first listen to what she said: The status quo cannot continue like this. We have a situation where some municipalities are at their limits. On the other hand, there are also municipalities where there are still places available in the initial reception centers. So, the situation in Germany is different. Well, the situation is different, there is still space. Has the Foreign Minister now finally moved away from reality on this issue? I'll put it this way: In a certain way, she spoke from the hearts of part of the Green Party base and voters . In a way, the Greens live from two issues: human rights/migration and the climate. She has already appealed to some of the Greens, but on the other hand, of course, she has also offended some municipalities. The accusation is that some municipalities that say they are overburdened are simply not managing it properly. One could now draw the conclusion: Well, then we'll send the additional migrants to the municipalities who say it's still working for us. They will then also be angry because they will of course say: "We can manage it, but if more come, we too will be overloaded." In this respect, what Annalena Baerbock has now said will not be part of the solution to the problem. I believe that this has given the opposition fodder for further attacks. Achim, thank you very much for your assessment from the Bundestag.
