obviously you guys would have liked to score more points at the half what are you thinking as an offense play you only get three drives you 16 plays 16 plays 14 plays 16 first downs and you know it's only 10 s at the yeah I mean Western Michigan did a good job um you know we were studying losing the tech film um they didn't show any of what they did there so they were trying to keep everything in front of them playing a lot of cover three not letting us take uh any of deep shots really so um you know they make Tred to make us make the mistake and um you know that's football so I mean we we had long drives on their three drives in the first half and um you know we would like to punch the other two into the end zone that would help a lot but um we just got to do a better job finishing in the Red Zone you talked a little bit about you know watching that Louisiana Tech film obviously they might have come out in a little bit of a different BL when you guys go into a game with like the unpreparedness how do you guys try and handle game and what adjustments are you guys trying to make in the second yeah I mean uh we got the iPad now so as soon as they we start saw the first drive um saw they were doing a lot of one High cover three deal a little bit of man um when they showing a lot of quarters and and bracket um so you know just trying to find the right plays that you know fit uh their certain defenses and um you know we did a better job adjusting in the fourth quarter for two how did that the communication the iPad all that stuff how that kind of work out yeah the communication was good um you know every drive we would sit on the bench and watch watch the drive and um you know critique what we needed to critique and um overall was good you know as a quarterback obviously with your arm like some more of those deep shots coach fly talked about maybe later on wanting some of those deep shots when you maybe just have to take what the defense gives you is it a little maybe you know not what you expect or how do you kind of departmentalize that feeling of taking what the defense gives you versus trying to attempt some of those deep shots yeah and uh that's the whole thing about playing quarterback you got to be smart with the football and might have try to force a couple in there uh that shouldn't have thrown and just have to make better decisions especially in the red zone so um you know just got to take what they give us and uh you know take the medicine sometimes and you know not you know Force the ball into certain situations in a game like that that is a little more you know methodical you're taking the defense here you how is it have a couple battering backs like chz like how we that can kind of handle that load and how do you feel like they push the offense as well yeah I mean I think it all started with offensive line they did a great job all night um you know making good holes for tawi chz Kate um you know those guys did a great job running the ball uh the first guy was never the first guy to tackle him uh take a lot of guys to tackle him so um yeah did they did a great job and it started with the Olan and um you know carried us all night you saw a bit of your comfortability r running the football you know be it on Keepers or scrambles what did you kind of see from them that allowed you to maybe take off a little more yeah we had a couple draws a couple uh run reads that you know had a pull on a few and I would like to run a little bit better than just kind of just go not dance around a little bit and um just kind of have to go and um you know that's going to be the case that I have to pull the ball um sometimes and uh we like to run a little bit better than I did tonight but uh it was a good start helmet to helmet in the first half in b a little bit or yeah I remember that yeah um yeah I mean I didn't feel anything from that really but um yeah a lot of positives and negatives from tonight uh what are you hoping to build on uh in the next the rest of yeah we learned how to you know handle adversity right away in the first game obviously down uh going into the fourth quarter and um I thought we did a great job you know keeping good energy going into the fourth quarter and uh you know scoring 15 points um consecutive so um you know just have to have a better start um obviously we had three drives in the first half and um you know wish we had a little bit more of that more drives so obvious we could score more points but um yeah I mean I thought we did a good job finishing and uh you're going to have some adversity sometimes um and yeah we got to be better next week though for sure it was also a balance pretty balanced both uh passing and running um is that kind like the offense you like to run or um how did how did you kind of play into your strength yeah I mean I thought we were uh we were balanced for sure um obviously would like to be better in the past game I thought missed a couple uh shots for sure um in the r game I think was solid so we'd like to have a little bit more in the in the in the past game um than we did tonight did you guys theed the ability to finish question oh it's a good question uh I'm going to have to look at the film and and see uh but they did a good job covering uh some plays and um you know just can't force it um just have to make a little bit better decisions down there were you little were you little jacked up to start the game a little bit some Luke said maybe might have been a little bit too much juice on some of the throws some your throws yeah maybe uh the adrenaline got to me a little bit and uh calm down second Drive um so um you know it's a good game to build on um obviously need to be better decision making throwing the ball but I mean I've done it before I've I've been in these situations and I know how to handle it so um yeah I think we we'll we'll all be good so you talked about the few shots is it hard to stay patient as a quarterback in games like this where defense is pretty much saying like we're not letting anything deep like you're going to have to Dink and dunk you're going to have to be smart with the ball like that yeah I mean obviously you want to throw for a lot of yards and throw some some touchdowns so um you know just got to take the medicine and um you know dump it down sometimes um can't force the ball uh I feel like I said that a lot but it's true and um have to be smart with it in especially in the red zone so um yeah TR gave you guys some life there I know you were watching on the sidelines where he kind of broke out in in Tampa last year what would you like about his skill set and you know why do you think he's able to make such an impact despite you know playing the same position as our best player on offense yeah I mean all you got to do is get the ball in his hands and he can make something happen so um really good route Runner uh you know I think you saw that a little bit tonight and um yeah made an incredible catch on a two-point play went up and got it so um you know those two guys right over there will and trch I mean uh they're tremendous players and um you know we like to get the ball a little bit more to them let them work a little bit more so what was your initial thoughts on the atmosphere and everything uh for your first game in fome yeah it was awesome um you know it was cool uh you know coming out there full stadium and uh I think it's 880,000 people so yeah really cool atmosphere and um thought the jump around was pretty cool uh obviously we're down going to the fourth quarter so um I don't think I enjoyed it as much as I wanted to um in that moment but uh I thought it was pretty cool though thank you someone like T and just you know what he's done like what what stood out to you most with I mean was both your first games as Badgers yeah uh I mean tywi did a great job uh like I said before I mean it took a bunch of guys to take him down uh that one touchdown run ran the guy over and uh you know drove a little bit couple more guys into the end zone so uh they did a great job and um T's a great player and did a great job so thoughts on uh your first Camp Randle atmosphere Under The Lights yeah it was awesome uh Under The Lights um I love night game so it was a great atmosphere I thought the crowd did a great job uh the whole night bringing good energy and supporting us so um yeah it was really good [Music]
