facility. >> And remained on duty. >> Now in a South Carolina courtroom today, the longtime girlfriend of Brittanee Drexel's killer has pleaded guilty admitting to lying to the FBI in chili teen's rape and murder. Now a goes been following the developments and joins us now in the studio with the latest chapter in this case that began 15 years ago Natalie. Yeah, Adam and Teresa, like you said, Angel vast now, 56 pleaded guilty to. >> 3 counts of making a false statement to federal agents. She was indicted back in March. Her boyfriend Drexel's Killer Raymond Moody, serving a life sentence after confessing to the crime. Back in 2022. vast pleaded guilty today to all 3 counts she had been facing a reversal from previous pleas in connection to Drexel's abduction, rape and murder in 2009 today she acknowledged being in the middle of the crime where she was at the time of Drexel's assault and ultimately her death. Prosecutors say these are things they, of course, would have hoped to have known 10 to 15 years ago, adding vast lied to the FBI as recently as May of 2022, again, around the same time that Moody had confessed. And now a vast awaits. Her sentencing. >> as a mother to me, I can't even understand that. I just I mean, I just have no like she's a mom. You know, in a grandmother. Like how could you do this to humanity? And let that happen? >> I don't think you ever get closer with with blues and the child. I think it's a resolution of what happened. >> And there will be a sentencing guidelines recommendation. But the reason that we had to plead guilty to 3 counts is because each count we expect to carry a maximum of 8 years. And we're going to be arguing that multiple counts stacked. I think today speaking of closures, the beginning of closure it doesn't. It'll never come probably. We go along. >> And again, prosecutors, they're hoping to get Drexel's family some sense of closure in all of this with sentencing, hopefully held by the end of this year.
