hey what's going on everyone Sly here with Flo and happy Easter everyone when we talk about what happened this weekend from the UF B of all places and the reason we're talking about that cuz there's a kicker out there that kicked a 60 yard four yard field goal in the biggest moment of the game to win the game and it didn't count so he had to do it again and he freaking nailed it it looked like he could have gone 70 yards we're talking about Jake Bates um out of the uh was it Michigan Panthers and dude absolutely insane it was his first kick since freaking high school man absolute clutch that's why I was telling you we should never have drafted a kicker in the third round remember that day I told you we're going to draft who I I told you that morning we're drafting Jake Moody I didn't want to do it but we've done it before with M witch michnowski drafted him I believe fourth fifth round so I was like dude we're going to draft him early and to me it never makes sense even like cuz a Cowboys kicker he's 29 years old and he came out of nowhere from what rugby or something so absolutely insane a 64 yard field goal and I guess in um college at C or Central Michigan no Central where was it central Michigan something Arkansas he was a freaking soccer player and then he went to play uh football and he was like a kickoff specialist went to Arkansas after that and was a kickoff specialist there and it's absolutely insane that no one found this dude like a super leg if it was last year he would have it would have been the longest kick ever but that guy think Justin Tucker kicked a 68 yard field goal last year at Mile High but no one hardly k no one could kick that man and he did it with ease it looked like he could have got 70 damn yards so that BS a question man if you're a 49er right now if you're John Lynch Kyle Shanahan do you call him up and add him to the 199 man roster or you know what let's just stay with Jake Moody let's not put pressure on the kid just let it be go as a m what do you think yeah man obviously that's hard because Moody he wasn't bad last year but there was times where man this guy freaking made our freaking heart drop you know like it was just nerve-wracking having him out there I just never really felt comfortable he did he did all right in the Super Bowl besides obviously getting that freaking extra point block cuz he tried to hit that line drive line that that was dumb obviously this guy had to line drive but it was kind of a little bit different circumstance um this guy had to in order to make that you know but it seems like this guy he has that leg I heard he's hit a few like 72 yarders yeah so he like you said maybe it's just soccer strike he has this power um the one concern I do have is I was watching this game actually the CFL game because I saw your boy AJ McCarron out there I was like what the hell this guy's still playing football so I was kind of watching that game and then I saw that kick but the thing that that I took notice was I was looking at the crowd there was none to speak of so it's a little bit different when the lights are on you and you have all those people out there I think so I don't know because in high school that's even watching high school games even though there's not a lot of people it's there pressure man we did the vet to Le what there's like seven eight people there it seems like there's pressure you know it does seem like it's freaking pressure even though you have like seven guys in the crowd it's like do we want to win like it we think about it so I think it's it's huge man CU Jake Moody at the end of the uh last season he was missing Big Time kicks that Rams game cost us that game obviously the game against Cleveland cost us and to a point that Super Bowl man he you can't be missing those extra points and that was his fault because he Lin drive that was a horrible kick he just line drive that sucker and easy the guy wasn't even hardly even jumped and he loed it so I mean I say yeah I say do it and have an open competition last year it was it was like a honeymoon man it was the honeymoon stage where no matter what this guy was going to make the team we traded for Gonzalez remember and there was no competition man Jake Moody was going to get this job regardless however I say do it man bring in another kicker if it's bait if it's not baates bring in someone else to have that open competition but me if we do bring in Bas I'm telling you everyone just because of this video is going viral it's going to be crazy man people are going to be watching on the sideline seeing who who's making the kicks who's missing them cuz both of these dudes have strong legs uh but man that's awesome that he does this his first kick out of high school and just Nails it and then does it again with with ease man and he's just so calm and it's just perfect right down the middle I say I know right now teams are looking at this and being like holy crap man and the ners might be a team that might be interested in a kicker we made a mistake in the third round getting them I don't care who it is unless it's someone like Justin Tucker you don't you don't do that man you just do not draft a kicker we could have used offensive line in that damn Super Bowl you should have went that way but you live and you learn so I say man bring this kid in man that would be so awesome having that competition let the best man win at the end of the day let the best man win that's what you should be at all competition every every um every position man every position have that competition so I love it man seeing this and then seeing Mike Nolan as the coach out of anyone you know him who kind of cost us what five years cost us Aaron Rogers so if we get him and he becom stud maybe forgive nah we're never going to forgive it's Easter Sunday never mind forgive I guess so but uh yeah it's really uh it was awesome man seeing that and uh to him man you just don't see that
