welcome everyone the ultimate game in the college football season everything has built to this the battle for the national championship and college football immortality a moment that every young football player grows up dreaming about and these two teams have survived the expanded playoff grind they have battled through a regular season multiple playoff victories all sorts of challenges and adversity and they've arrived at this moment to battle for that precious trophy as we'll see a team from the Big 10 the Penn State nney lions taking on another Squad from the Big 10 the Ohio State Buck op for EA Sports college football I'm Chris Fowler joined here as always by Kirk curb Street Kirk everything has been building to this it's time for the national championship let's Crown a champion the kickoff team is out there and you can feel the energy one game to determine the national championship return begins inside the 10 gets it to the 25 yd line that's one to start the drive so the Ohio State blackey offense comes on the field first today well here we go Kirk the energy in this place is tremendous we are 60 minutes away from crowning a new national champion and think about it Chris these two teams have put everything into this to get to this stage and this opportunity let's see who can handle it better the Freshman brings him down quickly second down after that run on the previous play on the option it's Howard out the first down now looking for more t made at the 41 it's a nice game they're getting closer to the 50 really a great way to get this game started for this offense you know they told us in our production meeting they thought with certain formations they'd be able to get this defense out of position and hit them for some big plays here we're seeing it to get this game started and they hand it off to the back and they'll stop him after a fairly minimal pickup [Music] getting set here's second down looking to pass it's Howard he's moving out of the pocket now quarterback looking to scramble slides down to avoid the tackle well I thought the defense had come here Chris he should be down in the back field but instead he gets out under the pressure and actually picks up some positive yards crucial third down play right here quarterback drops back probing the secondary it's in complete he dropped it on the crossing route and now the offense faces a fourth down boy third down in short they decide to throw the football roll the dice a bit doesn't work out now at Fourth and short you got to wonder with this offensive line and this running back do you run the football to convert or do they try to go through the air again KCK goes out of bounds they'll spot the ball near the 20 yd line the NY Lions offense makes their way onto the field for their first possession more of this game within the game Cur you got the quarterback and the corner two of the better guys in the country at their position very aware of each other and on the other side you got a quarterback that has an attitude he doesn't care he's confident in his ability to shift and move a defense at will it's going to be a great matchup he stop him right at the 24 a game makes it second in medium off the play fake looking to throw the football caught in the back field it's Warren it'll be smother right at the line for no game this defense reminds me of a group that just is all about preparation they are completely dialed in on this play yeah they give up the completion but how about that nowhere to go after the catch important third down play coming up to throw it's Allen short connection to the tight end here and he's tackled just short of that first down marker good job by the defense you know I know it's early in this game but something to think about for the offensive coordinator and the wide receivers on these third Downs they've got to get the ball down field meaning you need longer routes to give your receivers a chance to be able to catch the ball and if they get hit they still have enough room to be able to pick up the first down trying to return the punt for some extra yardage and the returner will be brought down here comes the Buckeye offense onto the field the last Drive they came up empty had to kick it away and they come up with something here they stop him after a 6yd gain so second and four pre- snap motion from the receiver they flip it to him on the Jet Sweep solid run tackled at the 45 yd line third down coming up after that running play can he make it to the marker they'll stop him behind the line for a loss of [Music] one what guys will have to kick it away looking to kick it away for the second time that takes a big bounce and rolls all the way into the end zone for a Touchback and the Penn State offense is back out on the field this group is coming off a quick three and out when they put something together in this drive that game moves the ball out near the 25 a gain makes it second in medium to throw it's Aller makes a quick grab he's tackled quickly but the yardage is good enough for the first down a new set of downs after that completion a quick throw out left complete Runner scoots out of bounds after gaining decent yards boy Chris great timing here with a quarterback against that zone defense waiting just at the right time to deliver it into that window to pick up a nice game second down after that previous play going to run it it's Singleton tackled behind the line it's a loss of two the offense goes five wide empty Back Field drops back needing a third down completion here this one's going to fall incomplete brings up fourth down the mney Lions will line up to kick it away and he'll kick it away now for the second time fair catch made at the 20 okay here comes the Ohio State offense back on the field they coming off off a three and out looking to produce a positive drive here from the shotgun hand off inside and they try the middle but stuck for no game offense getting set up here's second down to the there it's Howard catch made on the left side well they don't pick up the first down here but if you can use the quick passing game to stay ahead of the chains it definitely helps your offense and if that defense starts to creep up and take that away that's when you can take a shot down field it's a bowl at the 30 this is a manageable third down play for the offense receiver in motion now we'll try to pick up the Third down yardage on the ground tackled to the 35 good enough for a first down the black eyes come to the line to start a fresh set of downs first down looking to throw the ball here's a screen pass to the running back moving right through the contacts it's a big gain all the way to enemy territory tackled at the 45 Bo another great throw and catch here by the Buckeyes and it just makes you think back how far this offense has come from the days of being known of three yards in a cloud of dust to now being one of the more efficient passing offenses in the country year after year you go back to Cardell Jones and JT Barrett all the way back to Troy Smith and most recently with CJ Stout and Justin field just another great back that we're watching here today for the buckout picks up two so it's second and eight looks right for a quick completion tackled but only after picking up a fresh set of downs Bo really nice throw here to the slot receiver and i' love the quickness that he has after the catch he's essentially a running back playing at that slot position that's how dangerous he is after he makes a catch first down here for this offense on the shotgun it's a handoff zero running R stopped right at the line of scrimmage the offense has had really good rhythm in this drive running the ball throwing the football seems like every play has been positive yards until that stopped right there by the defense offense getting set it's second down back to pass it's Howard finds an open Target on the left side he stop him at the 23 this offense is getting close to the Red Zone I think the defense got full here they thought that receiver was going to go deep down field he ends up curling back to the inside for a nice game it's a first and 10 play coming up for the offense offense looking to throw the ball caught near the goal line and he steps out of bounds just short of the end zone couldn't quite get there love to see a post Corner executed perfectly because it really shows the time that a quarterback and a receiver have put in together that time it's ran perfectly the timing was there and great throw and catch the Buckeyes looking to finish the drive here it's first and goal and looks like the quarterback's going to run it couldn't quite get there brought down at the two second and goal for the off defense here's the option play the defense all over they stop him right at the line offense coming to the line they might have a chance for a couple more plays before we reach the end of the quarter on the ground trying to power toward the goal line the defense able to bring him down to wrap up the first period of play getting set for the second quarter here both offenses searching for a spark they didn't do much in the first quarter at [Music] all as we get lined up here for quarter number two we'll see if the offenses can get going they didn't do much in the opening quarter and the quarterback tucks it and takes off as a design run and he's not going to get there the defense Rises up and makes a huge fourth down stop looking for a gap it's Singleton he shreds The Tackle he's tackled out beyond the 10 yd line second down after that run on the previous [Music] Play Motion by the back will make the defense adjust fires it to the wide out he pulls it in for a big gain heads out of bounds after a solid gain more than enough to pick up a first down and the mney lions will hustle to the line to run the hurry up offense out of the shotgun he'll hand it off and they'll tackle him for a loss of five yds now it's second down here offense moving receivers around now before the snap Quick Pass here comes a Jet Sweep solid gain moves the ball to the 36 so the offense getting set this is not where you want to be against this defense third and long dropping back look to throw for the first down that one is incomplete the defender was right there and it brings up fourth down now boy Chris what a hit there on that third down play by the defensive back if he doesn't make that play that's probably a first down and they move the sticks instead you now got fourth down viny Lions will line up to pun it away he's on to boot it away now and the fair catch signal for and take here comes the powerful Ohio State offense onto the field the last time they were stopped on Fourth and goal rolled the dice came up empty and they get it going again here they'll tackle him at the 27 this a really good solid run I know it's not the flashiest big play but it's important for your offense to be able to get yards like that on early Downs you stay ahead of the chains and it opens up the playbook for the second and third down coming up a game makes it second and medium dropping back it's Howard running back grabs it on the screen and a big game before he goes out of bounds the offense keeps churning gets a fresh set of downs and I don't think the defense had any clue that the screen was being called they're getting up field getting pressure on the quarterback and that ball gets dumped there's no one left to be able to slow him down from getting a big game this offense has gotten going at long last it's another first and 10 off the play fake looking to throw lets it Go quickly oh and it's a first down drop in traffic over the middle Chris I don't know man I think he gets across the middle he starts thinking about those linebackers and safeties got a little bit nervous lost his concentration and drops the ball so second down after the incompletion there's the snap they'll set up to throw caught over the middle it's Tate you know they don't pick up the first down here but they do get some positive yards and I really like the route to get enough separation to give the quarterback enough room to put it in there offense look going to keep the drive alive it's third [Music] down look at to Chuck it again quick throw to his receiver and this is drop this would have been a huge game but he could not collect it whoa you talk about a big hit there I think this guy holds on to this football at a critical third down if this linebacker do lower the blow great timing on that hit to prevent the pi call and to get this team to fourth down what guys will have to punt this one away pun goes out of bounds looks like they'll spotted near the 15 and the men State offense comes back on the field last time they were forced to punt it away and they get points out of this possession fights off a Defender gain of two yards now it's second down and [Music] eight the back behind the quarterback now in the pistol it's a draw play defense makes the tackle on the ball carry what a job by this defense completely sniffed out the draw play here I think they saw it from the time the Huddle broke absolutely stuffed that play for no game they're backed up here trying to make something happen on Third and long back now goes in motion defense will have to adjust and he'll drop back here on third down grab down the middle it's Wallace the defense stops him just short of the marker that'll bring up fourth down man-to-man coverage you run the track route you prefer to get the ball down field but the matchup called for at least some positive yards underneath and he makes a nice throw the nitty Lions will send the punt team onto the field he's got an opening watch out he's got great speed and the returner is tackled by this punt coverage team here comes the powerful Buckeye offense back onto the field they were forced to punt last time can they get this offense going finally get some points out of this possession he's going to pull it down and run FC gets down to avoid the big hit second down play coming up for this offense he hands it to the back and he's brought down but he does have enough for the first down looks like a man is down on the field after the last play so we'll take a timeout how aggressive will they be on this first down play scanning the field it's Howard looking for his big tight end easy throw to a wide open receiver downfield they bring him down but a big chky of yardage on the play so a positive Play Kirk with the crossing route this is the defensive communication the coaches were worried about in this game yeah it really is a challenge in this call when the offense goes with that deep Crosser that defense has to do a good job of communicating really keeping their head on his swivel to understand who's coming into their Zone that time they just lost the receiver and they gave up a big gain tackle at the 6yd line after the co offense really threatening now that's a good chob here staying ahead of the chains good pickup here on first down quarterback hits the safety valve that time the big tight end that'll bring up a second manageable here for this offense here comes a crucial second down play every yard tough to find down here in the red zone that's a nice wrap up there by the junior this is crucial defense needing a stop on third down trying to force a field goal going to pick up the third and short through the air and the pass is incomplete just across the goal line hey the good news is here Chris they're still in field goal range and they didn't cost themselves any points but they could have more got to be thinking about going for this on Fourth and short they went for it and failed on fourth down earlier let's see if they Faire better here he'll hand it off oh they've stopped him short what a fourth down play and they will take over on Downs now on the ground it's Carpenter football comes out looks like the offense able to recover it there wow that's just big time awareness by his teammate to be able to scoop up that ball like it was a ground ball as a result the offense retains possession here's the second down play back to pass it's Ella fired into a tight window picked off and he's wrapped up after a solid return Chris I think I can hear him calling out blocks after that pick or was it the defensive coordinator next door up here in the booth either way they were looking to score after coming up with that interception the offense if they did anything right it was keeping him out of the end zone and the Ohio State offense comes back onto the field the last possession they moved it down into scoring position but got stopped on Fourth and goal got to put that behind it touchdown Ohio State strong game by this quarterback well they began with great field position and that didn't take long at all C well that's how you take advantage of an opportunity your defense sets you up in great field position you're not looking for a field goal you're looking for a touchdown give the credit to this offense for being aggressive and punching it in [Music] now the try here for the extra point and the pat makes it 7 nothing to scoring the kickoff team on the field now is a get set to send this one away return starts from inside the five he stopped at the 20 tried to make something happen but that's good coverage there and the NY Lions offense retakes the field this offense trying to bounce back the last possession and then in a pick it's caught downfield they bring him down but an explosive play by this offense big game in the mney liines looking to crank up the tempo a bit on the run it's Allen Towers through shows off the moves there but ultimately not much of a game second down play coming up looking to throw it's Allen receiver looks it in it's complete they bring him down but the gain moves the ball into enemy territory at the 43 that's another positive game here for this offense and this defensive coordinator is going to have to make some kind of adjustments to get this quarterback out of his rhythm it's the national championship and you've got to take chances and mix up your coverages because right now what you're doing just isn't working back goes in motion now let's see how the defense adjusts oh nice play by the defender got a hand in there to break up the pass oh my gosh they almost came up with another interception they had a pick on the last last Drive they're doing such a good job of baiting this quarterback into throwing the ball in coverage and then making a play on the ball let's see if they can keep this going empty backfield offense spreading the field with five wide qub back wants to throw it on second down that's going to be incomplete a lot of contact no flag brings up Third Down Chris I thought he had his hands on that football I thought he was going to come down with it but give the defense all the credit with a big hit knock that ball loose not going to be easy here backed up a long way to go for a first down looking to throw yet again finds that big tight end for a short pass the reception hits about seven yds but fourth down coming up here [Music] miny Lions will come to the line on fourth down hoping to keep this drive going oh it's snapped to the back fighting off the defender he did not get it a crucial play by this defense what a fourth down stop we'll give it to the running back they'll tackle him for a loss of five yds [Music] offense getting set second down play here looking downfield it's Howard from the pocket delivers over the middle receiver brought down after a short pitch and catch they come to the line a long way to go for the first out but needing this crucial conversion right now drops back looking to throw for it on third down par over the middle it's Uka defense able to stop him it's fourth down now and the Clark stops now from the two minute warning chance to strategize here before we reach halftime the Buckeyes will line up to boot it away back out to punt for the fourth time today and the returner brought down by the coverage team now and the penate offense is back out on the field if they want to cut into this lead before halftime they have to work quickly now on First and 10 here looking to throw the ball finds his man it's Wallace The Tackle is is made but there's a flag on the field see what that's about defense so the offense chooses to decline the pass interference penalty and the result of that play will stand looking to throw it on first down but they don't make the connection that one is incomplete here's an opportunity for a big play across the middle but he didn't quite have the concentration or the focus necessary and up dropping it before he can bring it in offense lines up for a second down play off the incompletion here's the snap offense looking to throw the ball oh and he dropped it might have bur some foot steps there over the middle that brings up third down it was there Chris it was the right call it was good execution he just dropped it that receiver's got to do a better job of finishing the play the putter has been very busy so far can they finally convert here on third down looking to throw it's Allen let it fly out of the wide out catch made on the right side that's a big gain tackle made at the 41 that's a first down yardage that's good execution of the pitch and catch to pick up the first down there nice conversion a really nice conversion here to me the route is what separated this play and the fact that he's able to get to this point downfield and by the the time he turned around that ball is on him so nice route and nice hands there to be able to pick up the first down on First and 10 they'll look to throw it that's reeled in it's Allen what's the play call here on second down for this offense [Music] here's the snap quarterback looking to throw oh and he dropped it over the middle in some traffic there now brings up third down not going to be easy here backed up a long way to go for a first down on third down he drops to throw and a short pitch and catch to the tight end they make the stop just short of the first looks like inches to go and now fourth down I mean we're not even the halftime yet and I don't think this guy wants to take a break once we get to the half that's his fit catch and Counting and he's got it from 48 yds out showing off the big leg [Music] [Music] [Applause] so after the field goal the kicker out there again to boot it away and he takes this from inside the five be tackled at the 17 strong job by the coverage team okay here comes the Ohio State offense back on the field they're coming off a quick three and out so looking to put something together on this drive with a little more urgency oh it's incomplete that's a good job with the defender to break that up just a great play on the ball by the defensive back getting a hand on it and tipping it up into the air boy anytime you see a tip go up often that defense is thinking interception this one falls to the ground the next tip ball could be going the other way back to throw it's Howard they pressure him and get him the Lost back to the seven yd line a timeout is called and talk strategy close game here as we approach halftime well the offense tries to go with a play action to slow this defense down but they weren't bu Tri angle they applied the pressure and came up with the sack the shotgun running play call picks up about three yds there but it's going to be fourth down and now the defense will call a timeout before this critical down just to get everybody on the same page the Buckeyes will bring their punt team onto the [Music] field gets the kick away from his own End Zone but he's got some space here and the returner will be brought down first down play call how aggressive will it be look him out throwing here to start the drive and it's incomplete he dropped the first down pass over the middle important second down play coming up they snap it quarterback looking to throw the ball and the pass is intercepted a takeway for the defense that's a pick and a long return before finally being taken down well it looks like somebody did a great job of preparing himself to get ready for this football game it's his second interception in this game so far obviously review to tap is locked in on his fundamentals that's a big time player making big time plays here comes the Buckeye offense onto the field last time was a quick three and out can they get a drive going this time grab down the middle it's Scott he's brought down but not before he gets first down yardage the offense will call a timeout that's their second of the half the defense does a nice job of forcing the quarterback here to be patient by playing Zone they run a Crossing route defense is there but not able to break up the catch and he's going to fling it deep going for it all here oh and it's batted down by the defense great play to deny a touchdown most offensive coaches they're going to be happy taking those 50/50 shots against a man and I'm curious to see if they're going to test this defensive back again because of the excellent coverage he's having out there getting set here's second down scanning the field it's Howard receiver makes the catch defense reacts quickly a very short gain on the play they're able to get a short gain to make this third down a little bit more manageable but it is third and long so this offensive Line's got to be ready do a good job of communicating and pick up any potential blitzes here on Third and long so a timeout is call to talk strategy maybe time for one or two more plays before halftime so it's third down but out comes the field goal unit they'll try to add three points before halftime and the kick is good offense settles for three on the drive [Music] so here's the kickoff now offense settling for three tacking on a little bit of momentum before the halftime break here returner from inside the 10 yd line and the returner is tackled As Time expires here in the first half Met's going to wrap up the first half here let's kick it now to Kevin Connor with our halftime update Chris thanks what else might we expect in a game of this magnitude dude everything on the line the eyes of the Sports World on this battle with the coveted gold trophy at stake and it's been said football is a game of inches and guess what based on the comparison between third down conversion rate today and the average yard per play how can you argue that I mean the low-lying fruit is to look at some of the explosive plays we've seen in panic but really this game is going to come down to which team is more efficient when they have the ball and how they play when it matters most and with that let's send it back to Chris and Kirk of the booth fellas hard to believe we're only one half away from crowning a national champion tight end goes in motion first play of the second half is a handoff solid run they'll bring it B to the 28 yd line the NY Lions will hustle to the line here to run the hurry up moving the receiver around pre- snap looking to pass it's all throws to the tight end he's picked for a third time tonight and he'll be taken down but after a good return just a great job job of anticipating that and coming up with a big interception by this defense because they have this lead they've really forced this offense to become onedimensional they're expecting the ball to be into the air defensive backs have their eyes on the ball and they're able to capitalize with a big pick here in the National Title okay here comes the Ohio State offense back on the field they're finally looking to click this has been a struggle for both offenses so far going for his running back the defender gets a hand in there to break the pass up it is really tough on a quarterback when he thinks he's got a completion and an open man downfield the ball's just about to get to his receiver then out of nowhere the defensive back steps in front of it and knocks away nice job incompletion sets up a second down from the gun he looks for an open man pass BS incomplete there was a lot of contact no penalty brings up third down [Music] we come to the line a long way to go for the first down but needing this crucial conversion right now drops back needing a third down completion here and he can't escape it's a sack from the defense I'll say this this defense went in at halftime made some adjustments and they look like a different group here in these first few plays what guys will have to kick this away that's a rough drive for the offense punter comes on then Boot It Away the pun goes out of bounds looks like they'll spot it near the 25 and the Penn State offense comes back on on the field this drive is important last one ended in an interception let's see if they can get it going here they try the middle but gain nothing on that play you get to the National Championship Chris you'd love to see more balance they've not been able to run the football the entire game putting everything on this quarterback in their passing game second down after that previous play pre- snap motion from the offense a pop pass on the Jet Sweep and the one moves the ball up to the 33 you know the good thing about this play is it's not an explosive play but it really gives you a chance now to be able to pick up a first down here on this next play they putted four times already on the verge of a fifth they can't convert this third down play action fake looking to throw fires it to the Wi out almost intercepted again this defense flying around today almost had a four pick and I think the quarterback here forces the ball because it's third down he's got to be careful having the ball on his own side of the field that ball was almost picked off and the midney lions will line up to put it away on the kick now for the fifth time today and they've got the returner Corral here comes the powerful Ohio State offense onto the field they were held to a quick three and out last time looking to put together a positive drive here that's the wide receiver coming in motion now first down looking to throw the football caught over the middle it's Tate and he's brought down after a big first down game it's second and short maybe an opportunity Kirk to take a shot here that's another accurate throw by this quarterback and Chris when we did our prep to get ready for the national championship we all knew that this quarterback potentially can have a big day but I didn't expect him to get into this kind of Zone this guy cannot miss just having one of those dream performances stop at the 36 that's good enough to move the sticks this line getting set up it's a first down play going to run it it's Henderson and he's out of bounds after gaining decent yardage boy positive yards there on First and 10 good job up front by that offensive line good hard running by this running back and now you got a lot of options that Playbook can really open up on second and inches offense getting set up here's second down it's a shotgun run Paul the buy pick up enough yardage for a first down the Buckey pick up enough yardage for a fresh set of downs out of the shotgun he hands it off breaks loose at the 40 he's taken down but that's a nice gain they'll spot the ball now at the 35 just a great play by the running back here finding his lanes and then exploding through the Gap when it opened up looky will line up on First and 10 off the play fake looking to throw fires it to the wide out and he pulls in the catch out of Val but it's another big game this offense producing chunk plays through the air passing efficiency is almost always higher off a play action and you see why right here the fake froze the defender for a second and then the quarterback was able to zip it to the open player the bueyes come to the line looking to crank up the tempo from inside the Red Zone they're looking to throw grab down the middle it's auka tackle at the two after the completion the defense really up against it now well he continues to have time to throw the football and he makes this defense pay for it now they realized coming into this game they had to take away his ability to throw the football downfield but it's the receivers and their place after the catch that's really given them a hard time they'll try the option play here he'll pitch it defense stuffing the runner ball still spotted at the 2yd line coming up second down and goal one to the left trying to find per they tackle him behind the line a loss of four what a great job there by the defense reading that play pursuing to the football nice loss of yardage there on second goal now it's third and goal for the offense after a long drive it's a third third down is it a touchdown or a field goal this is a four-point play dropping back it's Howard looking to the end zone oh nearly interception down there in the end zone could not quite hold on it'll bring up fourth down now I know ultimately that feels like a good defensive play but it's really not they had a chance to keep points off the board and now the offense has a chance to kick a field goal by that missed opportunity and dropping that interception coach selecting to go for a field goal attempt he was on target the first time this is a Chip Shot from this 23 ydd out and it sails right through the middle of the upright solid kick and they add to their lead [Music] They Come Away with three points on the drive and now the kickoff team will Boot It Away Fields it inside the 5yd line he's tackled at the 21 that's where the drive will start and the mney Lions offense retakes the field this group is coming off a quick three and out can they put something together in this drive flip it to him on the Jet Sweep offense getting set it's second down the shotgun hand off here they get him down but that's a nice Play Moves the ball to the 33 W how about that offensive line that's just getting a hat on a hat opening just enough room for the back to be able to get through there for a big game first down play call coming up how aggressive will it be off the play fake looking to throw that one Falls incomplete good defensive play brings up second down and everything about this play tells you about today's offenses and what they're asking out of their running backs you can't just be a guy who runs the football anymore you have to be able to catch it as well and he didn't do a very good job of it on this play second down after the incompletion and the wi out goes in motion they're going to run it here the pickup is just three yds now it's third down and seven urgency now for the offense that hate to come up empty on this drive down multiple scores dropping back looking to throw for the first down but into the sideline but just a short gain [Music] NY LS will line up to punt it away forced to kick it away for the sixth time and the returner elects to fair catch it no return here comes the powerful Buckeye offense back onto the field they'd love to produce some points and build this lead but also work on the clock here oh finds room at the 30 to get him down but that's a nice play lovs the ball to the 33 how aggressive do you get on First and 10 to the air it's Howard receiver makes the grab not much after the catch but it is good enough for a first down just another great example Chris an Ohio State quarterback and receiver combination being so dangerous think about it over the last eight or 10 years I think Ohio state has been as consistent as anybody when it comes to the passing game and the efficiency that comes with chemistry between these two and they told us yesterday in our production meeting they spent hours and hours of working and developing that chemistry and that Rhythm by throwing together throughout a screen now he's going to lose yardage there forc out of bounds great play by the defense interesting call here Chris with this screen pass in the fourth quarter late in the game I think they're expecting the defense to get up field on the pass rush but give the defense all the credit recognizing it almost really anticipating that this screen was coming and then rallying to the ball and he'll drop back here on third down cannot get the throw he's taken down what a huge play at this stage of the game what was the quarterback thinking here there's just absolutely no way you can take a sack in this situation and now it's fourth down down one possession in the fourth quarter and the offense is going to try to convert here on fourth down they need to convert he'll drop back looking for the wide out another interception wow that's his fourth tonight they bring him down after a short return but the takeaway sets up the offense near Midfield well that Defender deserves the game ball for
