The Colorado Republican Party has a new leader or, or doesn't, it depends on who you ask over the weekend, Colorado Republican Party members voted to remove Dave Williams as chair and oust the other leadership. But that leadership had called that past this past weekend's meeting, fake already failing to recognize the results. And one Republican today used an even stronger word. That word though is still OK to use on daytime TV. Making it worthy of the as the Colorado GOP turns spinning globe. Randy Corporan Colorado's Republican National Committee man said this past weekend's removal of elected leaders smacks of a coup. Here's why he said that in an email to Republican central committee members, less than half of Colorado Republican central committee members attended this past Saturday's meeting where Dave Williams and other party leadership were removed. Party bylaw say officers can be removed by a vote of 60%. What's not clear though is if that means 60% of the entire central committee or 60% of those in attendance. Williams and other party leaders were voted out with 60% of those in attendance unless they willingly walk away. This feels like a court case waiting to happen.
