divorced after more than two decades of marriage it reads as hard as divorces we are approaching this with a positive Outlook the couple wrote adding that they're proud of how we have worked through this together and plan to be together still in many ways and aart in some new ones let's read their statement and let's see if we can get some wisdom out of here okay um it says well here we are after 28 years together and 21 years marriage we have decided we have decided to file for divorce this decision came a lot after a lot of thought and care and as hard as divorces we are approaching this with a positive outlook because we know it's what's best for us M the coup is saying divorce is what best for them what y'all think about that let's read on and and get a little bit more wisdom we are proud of how we have worked through this together yes we're sad and we've got some figuring out to do as we continue to move forward in our new normal together in still in many ways and apart in some new ones but here's the thing we've been best friends for so many years we are still celebrating holidays together watching our favorite TV shows together and Gathering as a family so the big question role of husband and wife you you didn't want to continue to play the role of husband and wife because how many of y'all know husband and a wife are roles that we play and they didn't want to continue reflects who we are today our bond is still strong it's just evolved into something different we think a marriage that lasted this long and created so many beautiful memories especially raising our incredible daughter is something to celebrate yes it is 21 years celebrate from our perspective this marriage was a huge success I totally agree too and now we're looking forward to creating even more church so those of you who are listening you are born again if you've been walking with the Lord any any length of time uh I I'm I'm going to step out on a limb and make the Assumption because you spend so much time with the Lord praying reading your bibl seeking his face fasting right going to church going to Bible study going to Sunday school that your relationship your bond with the Lord Jesus Christ has grown tighter you're stronger you can hear him more clearly when Holy Spirit speak you don't have to ask who's that you know the voice of the Holy Spirit why because you're spending time with him you're you're getting closer you're you're you're talking with him uh you know you're praying every morning you you every chance you get to pray you're seeking his face um and so because of that your relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ is stronger well that's the same way your marriage is supposed to be let's just be clear nobody no marriage is divorce proof even though I have a book called divorce proof of marriage any couple at any time can go ahead and get a divorce we already saw um um um Ben Affleck and and these two this to this she don't even count uh uh judge Mattis and his wife 40 years of marriage getting a divorce she went to file for a divorce so no marriage is divorce proof again even though I have a book talking about how to divorce proof your marriage but it's interesting she said that we've become different people we've grown into different people but that's not God's will is it God will is for couples to grow together become stronger together the bond over the years should become tighter you should be spending more time and talking to each other longer and and you should becoming more one with your husband one with your wife the same way we become one with the Lord Jesus Christ so it's it's really sad to see a lot of couples you know Calling it Quits you know they're calling it quits it's it's really sad so cousins let me know what you
