WE HAVE SOME GOOD CONFIDENCE THAT TODAY IS PROBABLY GOING TO BE A 105 DEGREE PLUS DAY, SO THAT'S WHY IT'S AN ALERT DAY. AND THAT'S SOMETHING TO ADVISE YOU OF AND TO BE AWARE OF, ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE ANY OUTDOOR PLANS RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE AFTERNOON. RIGHT NOW IS A GOOD TIME TO BE OUTSIDE. BEAUTIFUL START TO YOUR MORNING AS THE SUN IS COMING UP AND YOU'VE GOT SOME PATCHY HIGH CLOUDS OFF IN THE DISTANCE HERE IN DOWNTOWN. SO ALERT DAY DUE TO THE HEAT, THE MORNING IS COMING IN ON THE MILD NOTE AND THE AFTERNOON IT IS GOING TO TREND HOTTER. THE ONE VISUAL YOU SEE HERE ON THE SATELLITE LOOP IS THAT MARINE THERE TUCKED IN RIGHT ALONG THE IMMEDIATE COAST. SO WE'RE NOT GETTING ANY BENEFIT FROM REALLY A HEARTY DELTA BREEZE, IF YOU WILL. IN FACT, IT'S JUST NOT THERE. SO THAT'S WHY IT'S A MILD START TO THE DAY. AND WHEN YOU GET THESE MILD TEMPERATURES IN THE MORNING, YOU KNOW THAT THAT HEAT IS GOING TO BUILD AS THAT SUN IS COMING UP RIGHT NOW. 63 IN FAIRFIELD, ONE OF THE COOLER SPOTS I HAVE FOR YOU 71 GETTING YOUR FRIDAY STARTED IN MODESTO 64 IN SACRAMENTO, 68 IN YUBA CITY. WE'RE INTO THE LOWER TO MID 70S ACROSS THE FOOTHILLS, AND 46 IS A COOL SPOT IN TRUCKEE. SO NOTICE THAT THAT DELTA BREEZE IS HERE. THERE'S JUST NO COOL AIR TO TAP INTO.
