David Bell happy for Rhett Lowder in MLB debut, Reds will move on from humiliation

along uh how do you uh T to get over there's no it'll be no choice we we we we'll get over um so um yeah red Lou tonight U did what he was prepared to do came out he was a little excited which uh that's a good thing and then settled in um exactly the way we want him to um yeah a great beginning to to his career got the stuff they've talked about his presence as well did you see that he's not phased um knows what he's doing um but he's going to continue to learn too because it's he just got a really a great approach to um his job already you know he just got here so it's going to be fun having him on the team and and just watching him get better stayed in and left the game have any type of update on him um it's not fractured but um a very large uh hematoma so he's you know uh dayto day you may may not be able to put him on probably not but um pretty good news without the fraction obviously was it his knee or his shin I think it's I want to say I didn't see it but uh say it's like right below his KN some large por lder how did you feel about the way he kind of navigating traffic you the walks guys on base but he's you know for the most part he got out of yeah I mean um it was fun to watch him do just that because you know typically your first time you're just trying to survive who's trying to win you know who's out there trying to get it done and you know was uh competing exactly the way we want and pitching and pitching to the situation um was fun to watch so he's going to he's going to get another start here in a few days and just watch him progress this month and see where we what was the reason for the M visit um I just want to check on I you know he caught today last thing I want to do is heard a position player arm um Luke says he can pitch all day he's told me that before so um you know it wasn't just to go out on the field I wasn't looking to do that I was more just to see if he was okay we had some other guys that you know if if they absolutely had to they could they could have switched you know put l over at first or something obviously you know you guys your players are Pros but you have to even after a game like this and a week like this it's been pretty tough emotionally keep closer tabs on them uh we yeah it's a close team um spent we spend a ton of hours here mostly by choice you know really I mean probably longer than than we even should at times just because we like to be around each other it's a it's really supportive and uh you push one another but also you're right I mean it's kind of good to to have that environment after a game like that with lad being up here now in the rotation at least not charge um where are you at with his innings for depending on how much you might want to use in Demon yeah um of course first Major League season first professional season we'll keep close tabs on him that was tonight kind of what he was prepared to do from the amount of pitches and all that but as far as innings uh we think he's good to go to finish the year so um I don't that be good for his his experience this that'll be great going in the next season had 77 a lot of pitches in a lot of innings was there one of those that maybe if it weren't his first he goes back out for a fifth um we were it was pretty close to probably could have sent them out couple more to we're in a situation we don't really have the luxury of getting a reliever pot and then not using him he was close to where we wanted them we could have faced a few more hitters but we also had sand hot and ready and was just kind of made the right thing to do there do you know who's pitching at tomorrow or you guys still to talk still working through that yeah yeah it'll it'll be uh yeah not not decided yet
